Steve was shocked to hear that two rulers of the past who were hidden in the same body!

"The God of Good Luck and the God of Bad Luck? What on earth are they?" Steve wondered aloud. He knew nothing about the old rulers of the past.

"Rulers of the past can also be called Gods of the past. They are natural Gods and are different from the Gods that were formed from one's spiritual cultivation. Evolution process of becoming a God is actually a realm of life, taking one from a low-level life to high-level life," Judy explained.

She then added, "Natural Gods control the power of the universe and are like biological sons of the universe. The Gods from evolution can never control how the universe revolves."

In fact, it was not difficult to understand that people could also evolve into Gods, as the essence was still life. However, no matter how strong the Gods from evolution were, they were not able to change the essence of the universe.

For example, iron (Fe) cannot turn into oxygen (O) and gold cannot turn into water, no matter if a God desired for them to or not! Although their forms could be changed, the essence of these elements could not be changed.

The Lemuria civilization was able to simulate various substances and forces, thus enabling them to turn water into gold for a short time. But, when the simulated energy attached to it was exhausted, the substances would return to their normal states, such as the momentarily transformed gold returning back to water.

Small substances that this law applied to included the single elements, while the big substances included the revolving cosmic galaxy. The Gods from evolution would never be able to change any of these.

However, the natural Gods were different, as they operated under the rules of the universe. As such, they contained the elements, stars, flames, and so on. This was why they could change the essence of the universe.

"The God of Luck and the God of Bad Luck belong to a type of invisible gas, which would attach itself to human beings and could not be sensed by them. The main reason we can see them now is that the Apollo Battleship simulated their appearance. In fact, they don't have any real shape or form!" Judy said.

"Will their presences affect Vivien?" Steve asked.

Judy calmly replied, "Rulers of the past operate according to some cosmic law, but some old rulers are born with self-awareness. The God of Good Luck and the God of Bad Luck belong to the neutral camp. As such, they do not harm their host."

She continued, "Usually, if the God of Good Luck is attached to a person, say Vivien, Vivien will be very lucky. For instance, if she buys a lottery ticket, she will most likely win the jackpot. When she walks down the road, she will find ancient treasures at her feet. Even a pig that she merely touched would become a a lucky pig!"

Judy waited for a moment, to give Steve a chance to soak in all of what she had just said, then said, "Surprisingly, your friend is in a special situation. Besides having the God of Good Luck attached to her, the God of Bad Luck is also attached to her."

She paused for a moment, choosing her next words carefully. "In contrast, if the God of Bad Luck is attached to someone, the situation will be the total opposite. If she is lucky enough, she might just die. If she is unlucky, she will be tormented by the God of Bad Luck and her life will be worse than death. As Vivien's situation is somewhat special, she will most likely have a mixture of good luck and bad luck at different times."

Steve thought about Vivien's life experiences, and they indeed mirrored what Judy had just said. For example, Vivien had been working so hard, but was always ranked at the bottom. She was also often deceived by others.

However, sometimes she had good luck, such as entering the army and passing the selection of being an armored robot operator. Therefore, Vivien's luck often alternated between good luck and bad luck. This finally explained it!

"Is there any way to drive out the God of Bad Luck?" Steve asked. After all, if only good luck was attached to her, Vivien would surely be the luckiest person in the world!

"Her situation is quite odd. According to the laws of the universe, whether they are lucky or unlucky, the Gods will leave their hosts after a while. But, sometimes a God can become many separate entities, attaching itself on many different people or objects at one time." Judy looked serious as she spoke.

She then added, "But according to the test just now, the God of Good Luck and the God of Bad Luck that are attached to Vivien both have great power, and they may even have their own physical forms. Moreover, they are now in a special state, as either they are entangled and cannot be separated, or they are competing with each other inside of Vivien, tring to drive each other out of her! Or, maybe there's some mysterious force inside of Vivien that has locked them up and is preventing them from leaving!"

Judy paused, then concluded, "What's strange is that the Apollo Battleship's detector for the rulers of the past can only sense low-level rulers of the past. As the God of Bad Luck and the God of Good Luck belong to the higher level Gods, they are beyond the scope of the detector."

"Their sudden appearance seemed to be stimulated by some external force, which suddenly burst out of Vivien's body." Steve had learned from the Apollo Battleship that the rulers of the past also had hierarchies.

Within those hierarchies, the ones with physical forms were mostly members of lower levels than those without physical forms. For example, soul, time, space, love, greed, good luck, bad luck and so on all belonged to the higher level, whereas iron, soil, water, fire and so on belonged to the lower level.

The hierarchical division of the rulers was very complex and ambiguous. The rarer, more precious, and more mysterious rulers were stronger than all of the others. At the same time, the rulers were divided into those who ruled and those who were being ruled over. But, even the weakest among these were much stronger than any human being!

"That is to say, can't they be expelled from Vivien?" Steve frowned and said, "What is it that motivates them?"

"It is impossible to expel them now. As for what powers stimulate them... "Judy's eyes were fixed on the big screen.

At that moment, Steve thought to himself. The Mayan civilization!

This was because he had just remembered that the time when the God of Good Luck and the God of Bad Luck appeared was about the same time that the Mayan relics appeared!

"As one of the most mysterious civilizations, there may be something stimulating them," Judy said.

Just then, the God of Good Luck and the God of Bad Luck returned to Vivien in a form of a thin energy field, surrounding her body.

"What's happening?" Steve asked.

"It must be the external stimulus that led to this formation of self-protection by the Gods. This is not a bad thing. At least nobody can hurt her with this protection around her." Judy smiled.

When the glass lab was opened, Vivien was sent out of it. Two forces within her collided with each other, causing her to faint without even knowing what had happened.

From the outside, Vivien looked no different from before. Even the energy field that had just been formed by the two Gods was as if it did not exist at all. This was because the energy fields, of course, were invisible!

Steve never expected that all of this would happen! Bringing in Viven for a check-up had instantly expanded into a situation that involved the rulers of the Mayan civilization, and it had even led to finding clues about the relics!

When Steve returned from the Apollo Battleship, he took Vivien back to her room. After that, Steve lay in bed for a long time, unable to fall asleep. All that had happened had a great impact on him.
