The Ghost Fox was dead! This was a huge blow for everyone present!

Before taking Oscar's Recovery Serum, the Ghost Fox would have been able to live for two or three more years. But, it had died not long after taking it!

The experimental results showed everything clearly. Oscar's Recovery Serum was really forcibly restoring the force at the cost of overdrawing the life span! Everyone was shocked to realize this, and they couldn't help but comment...

"It's really dead..."

"It's not a Recovery Serum at all! In fact, it's poison!"

"Whoever uses it dies!"

No one knew what to think at this moment. After all, the Recovery Serum plays a very important role, as it could even affect one's life and death within a battle! But, after seeing such results, everyone now had to wonder…

Is it worth forcibly restoring 50% of the force at the cost of reducing the life span?

"Mr. Oscar, the results of the experiment seem to reveal that your Recovery Serum is not without merit," President Sidney said indifferently.

"It would be acceptable to forcibly restore 50% of the force at a critical moment of life and death at the cost of a few years of life," Jackson agreed.

The other pharmacists nodded as well.

If it was a matter of life or death, it would be better to exhaust a few years of one's life than to be killed by an opponent instantly. In addition, some ancient relics also possessed things that were used to prolong one's life.

Oscar's face finally relaxed a bit. He had really been frightened by the death of the Ghost Fox, which made him forget for a brief moment that his Recovery Serum was really not useless!

"However, such a powerful side effect cannot be ignored. So, your score needs to be revised," President Sidney added after thinking for a moment more.

Following that, more than a dozen pharmacists re-rated Oscar's Recovery Serum.

"No. 52, Oscar Babbitt, scored five points," Christina announced after the revised score had been agreed upon.

This achievement was neither bad nor excellent. After hearing this revised score, Oscar's sense of relief soon turned into disappointment and frustration. After all, he was originally the highest scorer, but because of Steve, he was now only left with five points!

As he glanced at Steve, a trace of resentment flashed through his eyes. If Steve hadn't mention anything, Oscar would have been in the top three at least! The other competitors were relieved that such a strong competitor had been taken out of the running, as this was a good thing for them.

Then, President Sidney suddenly looked at Steve and smiled. "Mr. Steve, I'm curious... How on earth did you notice that there was something wrong with this bottle of serum?"

"I guessed it. I've seen a lot of experimental videos of the Blood of Red Monkeys, so I speculated. My speculations were only confirmed today," Steve said.

"Your conjecture means a lot. In the past, some people had been studying the use of the Blood of Red Monkeys. Today's experiment had thoroughly proven the side effects of the Blood of Red Monkeys and will have a great significance for many future experiments." President Sami sighed.

The other pharmacists all nodded in agreement. They had also studied the Blood of Red Monkeys, but unlike Steve, they had been unable to make much progress. Even though Steve's bold guess was only for a small experiment, it would still have a huge impact in the future and had already inspired many people.

President Sidney's and the others' gazes as they looked towards Steve instantly became friendly. Upon seeing this reaction, many of the other competitors' hearts sank.

Since the master pharmacists were clearly so impressed with Steve, it would bring him some advantages regarding the scoring. After all, the scores depended purely on the whims of the masters themselves.

"So what if he found a problem? Don't forget... He just gave up on the competition, so he doesn't even have anything to show us! Even if I only have five points, it's much better than Steve's zero points!" Oscar murmured coldly.

It was only then that the people present remembered that Steve had nothing to show in this competition. This could only mean that Steve was destined to be the one with the lowest score among all of the competitors left, as he'd only be able to score zero points! This thought relieved many of the remaining competitors' minds.

After that brief episode, the competition continued and the pharmacists began to rate the other competitors...

"No. 53, Norman Jody... Final score... 4.2 points."

Upon hearing his score, Norman, who had been full of confidence, was hit hard with surprise and shock. He couldn't believe that he had scored fewer points than Oscar!

"No. 54, Jerome O'Neill... Final score... 4.8 points."

As the only four competitors in Stanlos Base Camp, Oscar's and the others' results were quite mediocre. These kinds of score naturally sparked ridicule from the others. In particular, the young geniuses of the Wander City State and Doyle despised them even more, while their commentary only further revealed this very fact...

"Sure enough, the country's just the country, as there are few geniuses who can do it among you bumpkins!"

"Geniuses? Do they even deserve the title?"

"It's a great blessing that the clown pharmacist was from such a small place. How could there possibly be another genius besides him from such a silly little spot?"

When faced with the other people's ridicule, Oscar and the others blushed and felt embarrassed. But, they were clearly helpless to do anything about it.

As such, the competition continued. Soon, the masters arrived in front of Douglas and Philip.

As they were the only two D-grade pharmacists present, they naturally became the focus of attention. Everyone was wondering how many points they would get.

"No. 72, Douglas Clark..." Christina introduced.

Douglas smiled kindly, then said, "Hello, Masters, this is my serum, which I call the 'Thousand Crane Serum.' It can instantly restore 20% of one's force, and within one minute, it can restore 50%. As such, a total of 70% of the force can be restored without any side effects."

The master pharmacists nodded their heads as they listened to his introduction. It appeared that Douglas' Thousand Crane Serum was indeed outstanding.

The effects seemed powerful, as the serum could not only recover 20% in an instant and 50% in a minute, but it could also play a decisive role in a critical moment, while sustaining a rapid recovery.

"In addition to these benefits, my Thousand Crane Serum can also increase one's speed by 10%," Douglas added.

The expressions of the pharmacists changed upon hearing this new bit of information. In fact, the expressions of all of the people present changed as well! This was indeed impressive!

"Wow! You mean to say that other effects have been added to this Recovery Serum?" President Sidney asked, clearly surprised. "This is no easy feat!"

After President Sidney voiced his surprise and awe, many others also added their own complimentary commentary...

"It's indeed rare that such an excellent Recovery Serum could be produced after adding a variety of effects!"

"Adding other effects to the Recovery Serum is a recently released technology. Not many could master it. It's rare that you should have learned it so quickly! Moreover, it is even rarer to be able to produce serums of such perfect quality!"

Even the master pharmacists could not help but praise him and his serum. The idea of adding new effects to the Recovery Serums had long existed and had already even been accomplished by some people. But, the difficulty level was very high and few people could master it.
