Dominating Evolution of the Cosmos

53 The Chief Instructor’s Decision Bonus for 100ps

Lucy did not want anyone to find her, regardless if it were Steve or Sofia. Hence, they could only wait until the award ceremony tomorrow to see her again.

In the instructor's meeting room, after the competition's end.

Wendy sat at the head of the table, listening to an instructor's reports.

"According to our analysis, Steve's level of cell activation has reached 70%, meaning that, in seven days' time, his level of cell activation will increase by roughly 60%." Instructor Riley announced, while he pointed at Steve's projection.

The report included a thorough analysis of Steve, including an analysis of the strength of the techniques that he had used.

"After analyzing the final statistics, we estimate that his combat powers have already exceeded 300," Riley concluded.

If Steve were here, he would have been greatly surprised to see this report. This was because the data analyzed was about the same as his own data, even though there were a few little deviations.

All of the instructors present could not contain their shock when they saw the data. Many of them grew so excited, they could not help but comment aloud.

"The level of cell activation increased by 60% in just seven days, and the combat powers even reached 300! Are you sure you haven't gotten anything wrong, Riley?"

"The military has had some geniuses in their ranks before, but even their growth had not reached such a speed!"

"Could he have taken some forbidden serum, or used something to increase his skills temporarily?"

The instructors could not help but doubt him, simply because this report was too mind boggling! They just could not wrap their heads around someone, within a short period of seven days, being able to experience such impressive growth and improvement! It had already broken the military record!

"I can tell everyone with absolute certainty that he did not use any forbidden serums. He also did not use anything to increase his skills temporarily. Even if there was something like that, it would not have been able to allow him to battle for three consecutive days," Riley replied seriously.

After all, the ranking battle had been held for three days straight, and no serum or drug could last that long! The instructors present were all silent. Since Steve had always been one of the last in the past, it was impossible for them to accept that he had suddenly become the genius prodigy!

"There might not been a way to accomplish such an achievement in the past, but because of something that happened recently, there might be a way now. So, it is possible in theory, but I'm not sure about the reality…" Riley said, after hesitating for a moment.

"What thing could cause such a miracle?" Wendy asked curiously.

The instructors could not help but laugh.

How could this kind of thing be possible?

"Riley, do you know how much just a single bottle of enhanced Subatomic Serum has been auctioned for?" Leikas laughed and said, "Besides, only five bottles have been sold worldwide so far, two of which went to the Clara Pharmaceutical Group, while one went to the Wyatt Pharmaceutical Group. The others were bought by mysterious buyers. There are now 13 bottles left, which have not been auctioned yet. Do you think that Steve could afford to buy the enhanced Subatomic Serum?"

When questioned, Riley spread out his hands, also thinking that this speculation was impossible.

A bottle is already so precious and expensive, if I were to consume a bottle of Enhanced Subatomic Serum everyday to train, even the richest person in Stanlos Base Camp would not be able to afford such a cost!

Achoo… Steve, who had been training, suddenly sneezed.

He touched his nose, thinking about the old wives' tale regarding sneezing, then asked, "Who is missing me? Could it be that girl Lucy?"

Following that, he grabbed a bottle of Enhanced Subatomic Serum and drank it, as if he were chugging water. Due to the serum's increased success rate, Steve's stocks had been increasing dramatically.

"Got to think of a way to sell these remaining bottles. Even if the price has to be a bit lower, that would be fine," Steve mumbled to himself.

The instructors in the meeting naturally did not know that that the incident had occurred, so they were still discussing Steve.

"Alright, you don't have to make a big fuss out of it. I once heard of a genius prodigy, who was cultivated by a great noble, whose level of cell activation increased to 100% within a day," Wendy said, calmly.

However, the instructors did not take Wendy's example to heart. Much of the reasoning for this was because they were naturally gifted with their previous generation's good genes, thus receiving all sorts of precious herbs and serums while they were in the womb, as well as tons of precious resources.

As such, their starting points were already atrociously high, as they were only trained using the highest level practices of energy absorption. Hence, compared to Steve, they were already intimidatingly superior.

After all, if the previous generation or ancestors were strong evolved beings, then their good genes would have been passed on to the next generation, gifting the next generation with a shocking talent in training. This was nature's survival of the fittest law, that in order to survive, the good genes would naturally be passed down to the next generation.

"Now, we should discuss what kind of award we should give Steve," Wendy said.

"The same as always! First place is awarded 1,000 points, second gets 900, and so on," Tom said.

Wendy looked at him with disdain, then said, "Steve's gifted. He has such an affinity for the cosmic forces, so naturally, we can't waste his talent."

"Chief instructor, does that mean that you want to increase his reward?" Leikas guessed what Wendy was thinking.

"I intend to award him the 'Intermediate Practices of Energy Absorption,' along with unlimited access to a level of the original gravity tower," Wendy said.

After the instructors gasped in shock, they started rejecting the suggestion vehemently..

"No way! That reward is too much!"

"Isn't it too soon to be rewarding him with the 'Intermediate Practices of Energy Absorption' now? Besides, it's too generous to give him unlimited access to a level of the original gravity tower, as he has not contributed enough yet and does not have the right to gain access to such power."

"Will the old soldiers agree to the chief instructor's rewarding him so generously? How will we appease the crowd?"

The 'Intermediate Practices of Energy Absorption' could indeed increase the speed of training, but more importantly, it could be used to strengthen the capacity of the cells, even after it has reached 100%. With Steve's current capabilities, it would only increase his training speed at most.

"You've all seen Steve's talent for yourselves, so the earlier we give him the 'Intermediate Practices of Energy Absorption', the more it'll help him," Wendy said.

The instructors present thought for a moment…

With Steve's training speed, it was only a matter of time before he got the "Intermediate Practices of Energy Absorption." As such, why not just give it to him now?

"But, wouldn't giving him access to a level of the original gravity tower be a little too much?" Leikas asked, still unyielding.

"Yes. Even if we can't waste his talent, we also can't pull up the seedlings to help them grow," Riley agreed.

"Since all of you think this way, I shall give him another test. If he can pass this test, then we shall agree to give him access to a level of the original gravity tower. If not, we'll forget about this," Wendy said.

This was acceptable to the instructors, so they all agreed to her new terms.

"What kind of test are you going to put him through?" Leikas asked.

"Naturally, this test won't be easy," Wendy said, an insidious smile spreading across her face.
