Don't Misunderstood!

Despite still not seeing his father, Liam can already feel how hysterical the man was and he can't help but rub his temples

"Daddy, I'm here!" Liam shouted back in case his father got kicked out for being too loud inside the clinic where there are sick people that want to have a peaceful rest

"Baby!" Liam's father - Roy Hordeen, replied in a hurried manner. It didn't take that long before the curtain around Liam's bed was aggressively pull off revealing a man in his mid-forties

Contrary to what people would think, Roy Hordeen is actually quite a tall man compared to his midget of a son

His face was currently painted with worry as he stared at Liam

Seeing the young man in the bed, Roy unconsciously put his hands into his mouth as if he would cry any second from now

One look was enough to know that he was a fool for his son

"Baby, what happened to you? You made daddy worried"

If people were to hear Roy without seeing who he was talking with, they would really think that he is talking to his son that was still 10 years old or younger

Roy only expected to see Liam but then he saw another person that makes him raise his guard

Roy himself is quite short but Tristan was even taller than him. Comparing Tristan's build to Liam's build feels like comparing an adult and a child

Tristan can definitely defeat Liam in a single punch. I mean, just look at those muscles that scream power!

Roy's protective instinct was aroused and he immediately went in between his son and Tristan

"Are you the one that hurt my baby?!" Roy asked with a glare and the emotionless Tristan narrowed his eyes

Just how wild is this man's imagination? Tristan would never hurt his 'baby'

Well, we can't blame Roy that much. His wife died after giving birth to Liam

In fear that he wouldn't be able to raise Liam well because of his mother's absence, Roy always indulges his son

He was also very protective of him. With Liam's a bit timid personality (except for his friends), it was very plausible that he would get bullied especially if the bully is someone as tall and muscular as Tristan!

"Daddy, don't be rude! He's my friend!" Liam immediately said as soon as he saw Roy's intense one-sided tension with Tristan

Hearing his son's words, Roy's countenance instantly changes. If seconds ago he has the look that he would fight someone any time soon, this time, Roy's expression was full of friendliness

"I see, I see a friend! My apologies for my rudeness. I didn't know you are his friend. Thank you for taking care of my son" Roy said while he enthusiastically shakes Tristan's hand that didn't know how to react

"Anyway, can I repay you for your help in any way? I can send you boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables if you want! How does that sound? I just hope that you'll continue helping my son"

It has been a while since Liam gained a new friend. Roy is set on bribing Tristan for him to continue being good with his son

If Klein's family has a company that has something to do with showbiz, the Hordeen Family on the other hand owned a lot of farms that produce fruits and vegetables

Roy has always been proud of his family's farm and he wants to boast of it in a way that would benefit his son but Tristan refuses

The tall guy doesn't know why but he can feel that if he accepted the offer, his house would be filled with boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables

"W-why not? Or do you need anything else? Just say it to me and I'll help you!" Roy's plan of bribing Tristan needs to work

If his son were to be bullied in any way, a person as tall as Tristan can help Liam a lot

In the past, Roy targeted Klein. Klein himself is quite tall at 6 feet flat. Although he doesn't look like it, he knows how to defend himself thanks to the classes he attended

Klein can also rescue Liam if an unfortunate circumstance happened but Roy is sure that Tristan would be more effective as a 'warding charm'

One look from Tristan that is also a bit taller than the 6'3 Calix would already intimidate most people and they wouldn't think of harming him or his friends

"Daddy, stop. I don't want a repeat of what happened to Klein and Shane's house the first time I introduced them to you"

Liam can still remember those times and he can't help but shudder. Klein and Shane almost cried at him due to the number of trucks that stops into their house to deliver the fruits and vegetables

Both Klein and Shane even invited him to see just how much his father has to them sent as a 'bribe'

The amount would certainly make people not want to eat fruits and vegetables their entire life!

"What, why not? Our produce is of the best quality!" Roy insisted before he remembered something

"Speaking of Klein and Shane, where are they?"

Could they have stopped being friends with Liam? This wouldn't do, seems like Roy needs to increase the amount of produces that he regularly sends to them

"We just finished auditioning in the Drama and Film Club but we still have classes later. They might be in class already" Liam answered and Roy was relieved to hear that

"Just let me know if the club dared to not accept you and your friends. I'll talk with the principal!" Roy said as he was worried that his son might be isolated from his friends

He knows Liam very well. This kid doesn't have any acting experience. Even if Klein were to arrange group practice with him, he must have been scolded due to how lazy he was

It was already a good outcome that it was Klein that became Liam's friend. Roy can't scold his son especially after seeing the expression Liam would make

That is not exactly a good thing as Liam needs to learn some things. Fortunately, Klein has always been a principled man

When he knows that his friends did something wrong, he wouldn't keep his silence. He would surely talk with them to correct it

Klein is the mother that Liam didn't have!

"Anyway, let's go back home for now. My baby needs to rest" Roy said before looking at Tristan again as he still didn't give up on bribing him

"Do you want to come visit us? Our house is big and you can always hang out with my baby there. You can also bring home some snacks!" Roy offered and Liam's eyes brightened at that

"Right! Can you? Can you? We have drums in the music room. I want to hear you play drums while singing!" Liam asked hopefully

His face brightened at the thought of watching Tristan's performance. He wants to know more of the hidden talents of this good guy

"Oh? You play drums and you also sing? If you want, I can introduce you to some people that will help you in your career!"

If fresh produce won't work then Roy would use another method. With his connection, he can surely make Tristan known by many people

In that way, Tristan would feel indebted and he will treat Liam well! Isn't that a perfect plan?

Tristan's face twitches a bit at the enthusiastic pair of father and son. They really look alike

Once again, Tristan agreed by nodding his head. He still can't crush the hopeful look on Liam's face

None of the two with him realizes that he too has classes needs to attend

Although Klein and Calix's group don't have any classes together, their schedules were still pretty similar just with a different subject at a particular time

Since Cain and Calix also has class after they went through the audition, the same was true for Tristan

But after watching Liam, he can't bring himself to refuse. Well, it was just a single day of absence. It might not be that bad to skill a few classes

"Really? Yehey!" Liam was overjoyed that Tristan accepted and he was immediately helped by his father to stand

However, his laziness kicked in again and Liam got tired of walking to the point that he was almost only dragging his body

Fortunately, Roy didn't mind it and he let Liam put almost all the work on him. Being relied on by his one and only son feels amazing

If possible, Roy doesn't want Liam to grow up. It wouldn't be bad if Liam always rely on him

In fact, Roy even told Liam that he doesn't need to study and gain a degree if he doesn't want to

Roy was working really hard. If he can't even earn enough money to support his son for the rest of his life then all of his hard work would be for nothing
