Dragon's Origin

#528 - Blood Knife's Cause of Death (Part 1)

The legendary assassin Blood Sabre of the Divine Might Prison died at Wang Sheng's hands. Only four groups of people know the exact news. One group is definitely Steward Wang and Mei'er of the Marquis's residence. Another group is the Old Monarch's Temple; Daoist Qing Ling was present at the time.

The third group is the Emperor. After Blood Sabre's death, Steward Zhou and Chief Steward Li both went to the scene. However, like Daoist Qing Ling, they only knew the result and not the process.

Of course, the last group is definitely the Divine Might Prison. The World Honored One did not take action at the time, but he took away Blood Sabre's body.

It can be said that this is the most miserable defeat since the Divine Might Prison dispatched an assassin of the Legendary Realm. Two Legendary assassins, one died directly at the hands of the target, and the other didn't even make a move.

Except for Wang Sheng, none of these four groups knows how Wang Sheng killed Blood Sabre. Because according to common sense, this is simply impossible. Two assassins of the Legendary Realm came to kill a junior in the fourth or fifth level of the Qi Refining stage. Even if one of them didn't make a move, this junior couldn't possibly survive by luck.

Once one enters the Legendary Realm, it is completely different from before. The peak of the eighth level and the ninth level are worlds apart. To put it more realistically, a ninth-level Legendary master can instantly kill the peak of the eighth level. Don't underestimate that little bit of difference, because it is a difference in quality.

Steward Zhou and Chief Steward Li both saw the result at the time, but after returning to the palace, no matter how they deduced it, they couldn't figure out what method Wang Sheng used to kill Blood Sabre.

Just deducing this result gave Steward Zhou, Chief Steward Li, and another old monster of the royal family a headache for many days. The third old monster even kept complaining that Steward Zhou and Chief Steward Li must have seen it wrong and were using an impossible thing to搪塞 him. But, with the cultivation of Steward Zhou and Chief Steward Li, could they be mistaken?

So the Emperor also began to have a headache. This showed that Wang Sheng, in addition to the methods he had revealed to him, still had many powerful methods that he didn't know about. Think about it, Wang Sheng could kill a ninth-level Legendary assassin face-to-face without using those poison gas bombs, wouldn't that mean that if Wang Sheng wanted to kill him, he wouldn't be able to escape either?

Fortunately, the Emperor was still considered smart and knew that Wang Sheng had no hostility towards him now, so he wasn't as stupid as last time to have murderous intentions. But this kind of depression of not knowing the truth made the Emperor really unbearable, which led to the situation of asking at the wine table.

"Burned to death," Wang Sheng replied without thinking. "Steward Zhou and Chief Steward Li should have both seen it."

Steward Zhou nodded, but he was also really curious about what method Wang Sheng used. In the past, when the three of them drank like this, Steward Zhou still had the confidence to win. He felt that as long as Wang Sheng didn't use a big weapon to perish together, he could control Wang Sheng and prevent him from harming the Emperor. But now, he didn't even have this confidence.

"What was that loud noise?" The Emperor had a stomach full of doubts and wanted to know the answer. Taking advantage of the opportunity to pick up vegetables, he asked very naturally, not abruptly at all: "And your training room in your residence, how did it suddenly become like that?"

"Oh, it burned too violently, so it exploded," Wang Sheng replied very smoothly. "The training room wasn't that strong, so it was blown to pieces."

Steward Zhou thought about the situation at the time and nodded slightly. He could see that Blood Sabre was burned to death and that the training room was blown up, but he just didn't know the real reason, Wang Sheng's real method. But Wang Sheng only said the result, and didn't mention the reason and process in a single word, making Steward Zhou's heart itch so much that he almost wanted to threaten Wang Sheng to tell him.

The Emperor was even more depressed than Steward Zhou. What he wanted to know wasn't this! Steward Zhou and Chief Steward Li had already said that Blood Sabre was burned to charcoal, so it must be burned to death. It wasn't a lie that the training room was blown to pieces. Even if there were some highly flammable fuels, such as oil, it would be normal for the violent burning to cause an explosion. The problem is, how could it suddenly cause such a violent explosion?

Blood Sabre was a ninth-level Legendary assassin. How could such a master stand there and wait for you to set him on fire? Even if you set him on fire, with Blood Sabre's cultivation, even if you poured oil on him and lit it directly, it wouldn't be possible to kill Blood Sabre, right? Not to mention that his cultivation was enough to block the flames and oil outside his body, even if he didn't use his power to resist, as long as the fire started, he could quickly jump into the pool in the Marquis's residence.

That pool was less than a dozen feet away from the training room, which was not a problem for an assassin of the Legendary Realm at all!

But Blood Sabre just couldn't think straight and was burned to death in place. If you want to explain this situation, you can only say that the burning was too intense and instantly took Blood Sabre's life, or instantly destroyed Blood Sabre's ability to move, which is why this happened. But how to do this?

"With such a big explosion, how are you okay?" The Emperor continued to ask: "When Steward Zhou and Chief Steward Li went over, you were unscathed."

"In my training room, aren't there two big cauldrons?" Wang Sheng explained to the Emperor: "One of the big cauldrons doesn't have ears. I crawled in and turned it upside down. No matter how loud the outside noise is, it can't hurt me!"

This was purely an explanation to the Emperor. Steward Zhou wouldn't ask such a simple question. If he was there and couldn't see that Wang Sheng was hiding under that big cauldron to avoid being burned, then Steward Zhou would be blind.

What Steward Zhou was wondering was, how could a fierce person like Blood Sabre, such a master, leave Wang Sheng enough time to escape and hide safely under the big cauldron? If this question wasn't explained, Steward Zhou wouldn't be able to sleep.

But at this most critical moment, Wang Sheng didn't say anything more. This made the Emperor and Steward Zhou feel extremely uncomfortable, but they were helpless.

Fortunately, there was still good news about making money, which was not enough to make the Emperor so depressed that he couldn't eat. He could only take advantage of drinking with Wang Sheng to pour a few cups into Wang Sheng, which made him feel better.

Unlike the Emperor, Steward Zhou, and Chief Steward Li, who relied on imagination to deduce what happened, in the Divine Might Prison, because the World Honored One brought back Blood Sabre's complete body, they could deduce more things.

Blood Sabre's body was inlaid with steel beads, but the masters of the Divine Might Prison unanimously believed that this was not the cause of Blood Sabre's death. Similarly, although those long arrows that pierced Blood Sabre's body looked fatal, they were not the real cause of Blood Sabre's death either. Everyone speculated that the steel beads and long arrows were just Wang Sheng seeing Blood Sabre in pain, so he used them to end his pain. The real cause of death was probably still severe burns.

Although I don't know how Blood Sabre burned, there is one thing that these killing experts in the Divine Might Prison can be sure of: Blood Sabre's burning started from inside his body.
