Dream Life - Life in the Other World of Dreams
Episode XIII: Summer Days
When I made the orb, I also had a vision for developing a hand pump, and I thought the toilet was going well, so it felt like it was in excellent condition.
Around that time I began my morning routine, spending the morning under the guidance of a sword from my grandfather, and since noon I had a pretty hard schedule for a four-year-old to go to Nicholas' house.
(I'd like to take a nap. Didn't childhood sleep affect growth? I don't know the details because I didn't have any children...)
The swordsman and I also acquired swordsmanship skills, so in addition to mastery, more practical forms of instruction began.
Until then, it was only a slash from the top and a left-to-right horizontal snap, but I will also remember a combination of several shapes, such as a thrust aimed at a steep point, a powerful slash using a whole body like a snap, and even their continuous moves.
The enemies of this world must cope not only with humans, but also with large demons like dragons to small ones like rat demons and even flying creatures like harpies and giant bats. For this reason, the main focus is not on martial arts, which specialize in targeting human weaknesses like kendo and fencing, but on how efficiently to do great damage.
My grandfather's guiding policy is to continue until my body learns to mold, and my brothers are also barely willing to spend most of their training time. Because I've been doing it for exactly three years, I was making even more operational moves, not the same level of shape as us.
Sometimes we're just young, and we're just doing our morning training, but my brother Rod and Mel's brother Sims were still on training time in the afternoon.
Exactly the cooler hours of the evening have been chosen in the afternoon, but before dinner we often see ourselves flustered.
My grandfather, on the other hand, provided training for the Village of Rasmore vigilante while providing our guidance.
Here in the village of Rasmore there are men between the ages of fifteen and forty, about one hundred and fifty, who make vigilantes. The vigilante was required to train twice a month, and about ten people were sweating into training west of the mansion every day.
The vigilante commander was my grandfather and head of training.
I shout out in the training area every morning and evening, but I've never seen him tired.
(She's a little older than me when I was in Japan, but she's fine for that. I feel that coarse food and exercise are healthy on the ground.)
Average life expectancy in this village is not calculated, but few older people are over seventy years old. Thinking of it that way, my grandfather before fifty is very well, although he probably has a life expectancy in his mid-sixties or so.
Later in June, the development of the hand pump enters the good environment and becomes very busy with detailed instructions for the development of soap, etc.
By then, I didn't realize it myself, but I guess I looked tired.
At lunch on June 30th.
Turns out Mel acquired swordsmanship skills and we were thrilled.
Dan seems a little sorry, but I was honestly happy as I was about Mel getting the skills.
The next day is July 1st. In this world it is the summer solstice and also the day when the festival takes place.
I was often near the mansion and hadn't really noticed, but it did feel like a pre-festival sowa drifted among the villagers who came to train.
When our training was over, my grandfather came to talk about the festival the next day.
"Tomorrow's the festival, so they're all going. Tomorrow you all have a day to play. Zach, come here for a second."
My grandfather called me alone.
"Spend tomorrow's festival with those kids. You've been working a little too hard lately," he said, grinning.
"You'll have trouble telling me to go back to my childhood heart, but remember to have some fun," he puts his hand on my head.
For me, who worked more than ten hours a day in Japan, I didn't see myself working that much. But it looks unusual in this world.
(If a four-year-old did combine his sword training with his work, he'd look unusual. No, it's not just visible, it's unusual. Is there only such a child in Japan as a seller's child...)
I thanked my grandfather for his care and decided to enjoy the festival one day tomorrow, but I didn't think this village festival would be greatly enjoyed.
There's no opening, there's no opening.
After a cleric came from the city of Bogwood and prayed, young men and women were interested in dancing, enough for the wolves to drink. Little kids like us should only have enough fun to share the treats the grownups are eating well.
Still, to my grandfather's care, I said, "Thank you. I'll relax tomorrow," he said thankfully.
July 1st the following day.
East of Nanga Hill, where the temple is located, by the Black Pond becomes a venue for divinity. To some extent, even when it comes to the temple, there is a simple statue of the divine, and the clergy is not resident. Similar to a small shrine in Japan.
The clergyman arrived at the temple around 11: 00 a.m., and about thirty minutes of divinity - he just gave something like a celebration (of gratitude) to God, and left immediately.
Apparently, he returns in time for the Bogwood festival, which is this pattern every year.
At noon, the safest divinity will also be over, and the only liquor store in the heart of the village of Rasmore, the Black Pond Pavilion, will be the centre of the festival.
Everyone begins to gather in the centre of the village, with tables, wooden platforms, chairs, etc.
The table is lined with dishes brought over by the people, and the black pond pavilion opens barrels of liquor.
Without any particular signal, the banquet began with a collapse, and when I heard the sound of a horizontal whistle from nowhere, I also heard the tone of a guitar-like string to go with it.
In about an hour, the festival-like murmur surrounds the village.
The four of us didn't do anything, we were wandering around the festival venue with Blah Blah.
Sometimes, when there are dishes that look good - meat dishes prepared for this day, etc. - they slip through the red-faced villagers while they get it and eat it.
(I hope it's also something sweet. Just a pinch of booze, I'll be bored soon. Oh, I want a drink soon......)
I looked around the venue, but there were few sweets, as much as I saw a berry-based baked treat similar to a blueberry and one with honey on the bread.
Sugar comes from the south through the commercial city of Aurelia, which should be traded, but I've hardly ever seen sugar because this village is off the trade route.
(I guess we can't produce sugar. Cane is too far north to do it, and I don't even know if there are pickled vegetables... honey has a hand called beekeeping. Think about it......)
Despite my grandfather's attention, I still think about village reform, such as making specialty products.
Walking around thinking I was addicted to work (worker holic), I found Walt's son Enos Vassel and his fiancée, Nicholas' daughter Gene Garland.
Usually, unlike the usual plain clothes, Gene, who works in the mansion, wore bright clothes like German or Austrian ethnic costumes dyed red or yellow. Enos next door is also holding hands in his face that he is not full.
(That's a nasty one. I'm getting married in the fall, so I guess now is the happiest time. There doesn't seem to be any marijuana blue...)
Mel and Sharon suddenly stuck with me because they saw him.
(You don't. Even at this age, girls look like this?
Take two hands and walk through the venue with flowers in both hands.
Those of you who know me have some drunk momentum, some chilling voices, but I held both hands tight, not lightly.
(I guess rumors are spreading that the lord's second son is a woman tomorrow. Still, I feel sorry for the blurry Dan. You really want to hold hands with Mel)
The hustle and bustle of the venue gradually increases, as does the sound of the transverse whistles and strings.
Young men and women go along with that music and start dancing like a fork dance.
The woman wears a bright ethnic costume similar to Gene's, and the man also tries to attract the attention of the woman she is looking for by wrapping something more like a decorative cloth around her waist.
The circle of dancing grew gradually, so much so that I wondered if the young men and women of this village had gained momentum, that they were dancing in large numbers.
(That's more amazing than I thought. I wonder how many dozens there are?
As the sun begins to tilt, a stream of people gradually begins to reach the crossroads.
The tavern is as busy as ever, but somewhat lonely and sadly subtle as the festival ends elsewhere, it was beginning to drift away.
We also walk like we bounce the road between the hills, sometimes on the road.
(That's why I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you very much)
It was still early to say sunset, but I went back to the mansion looking up at the sky, which began to stain a little silky.
The next day there was no festive aftertaste, and the village was immediately returning to normal mode with the start of pruning winter sprinkled wheat, wheat.
We'll do our usual routine the next day, too.
On July 21st, Dan finally gained his swordsmanship skills.
Speaking to him, he seemed to regret that only one person was late, and he lacked a bare hand at home.
I saw my grandfather's surprise face behind Dan's delight, and that night I asked him why.
"It usually takes three months for even the early ones to gain skills. Six months if it's not talented. That's what you and Mel got in January, Dan and February without hanging up. Non's guiding policy is exactly the same as it has been before. I mean, it means your talents are jumping through."
"I've been given a gift by God, I know, but those two are even more amazing"
"Right. You have an adult heart and you have a goal so you can withstand tough training. A normal kid would throw it right out like Dan did in the first place. If that comes with you guys...... even a responsible rod got through to the end when I was six, which means it's been a year"
"Perhaps that's what caused it. It was quick to get our skills. Wouldn't it have been quicker if my brother had done the same?
My grandfather snorted at my words,
"Kids can't do that. Mel and Dan are under your influence. On the other hand, I'm even pretending myself... I hope I can't."
I was worried about that, too.
In my case, I have a memory of a previous life, so I can add and subtract some, but I wouldn't be able to expect that from a younger child.
I asked my grandfather to tell me not to pack too many roots.
The next day, my grandfather said, "If you can't do it and break your body, you're gonna be extra late. In the future, don't pretend to be bare where Non hasn't seen it," he ordered the two of them.
Mel nods honestly, but Dan nods reluctantly and so on about whether he regretted taking the delay. I was uncomfortable with how Mel was doing, but I thought I was just following my grandfather's orders as a master.
That evening, as I was barebacking with my grandfather, the two showed up with wooden swords. Then, he begins to waver at Xu "Omoro".
When I asked what happened to me, Mel said, "I don't care if we're together".
Though he's a kid, he's pretty sorry to take a fall for me.
As for the village's reform plan, it was likely to be after autumn, except in the village's central district, because those who spread the toilet would start by securing lumber. Until then, we will be following up on whether we can solve the problem.
I left the development of the soap mostly to Nicholas, and once a day, I just went to check on the situation.
As for the hand pressing pump, which was going well, it was currently only installed in three wells due to the time taken to secure the material.
The composting of the mansion's toilet is also more than a month after the first hole I made was finished putting in the excrement, but it has not yet become soil.
(Will it take two or three months?
I sigh at my halfway knowledge.
(Ha... I don't know if I can help it in a hurry, but I have a strong desire to get results quickly because it's the sex of a technologist. Maybe it's a malpractice of resultism...... at least it's cleaned up, and we'll have to wait for temperament)
I was feeling a little anxious about the consequences.
In August, the village becomes struck by fierce heat waves.
Because of the proximity of the terrain to the basin, during the windless daytime, I felt it was more than thirty-five degrees.
Exactly. My grandfather has also stopped his daytime training and shifted his time in the cool mornings and evenings.
Plus, our youth training menu was slightly reduced, only in the cool hours of the morning.
(Summer is hot, winter is cold. You have a climate like Kyoto. Kyoto?... Riverbed!
It was so hot that I remembered the “riverbed” made on the Duck River in Kyoto.
Rivers flow north, west and south to the village of Rasmore. The Black River to the south is what the water from the Black Pond poured out, but the Arn and Finn Rivers to the north and west are fresh water flowing out of the mountains, rather cold water.
(The river width of the Finn River is not that wide. Wouldn't it be pretty cool if we built floors around the waterwheel cabin? I'm worried about demons, but I'm not going anywhere with just kids, and if someone could follow me...)
I remembered where to make it and was frustrated when I started thinking about the ingredients.
(No. I don't have any lumber. I used a lot of inventory for the bathroom, and I'm going to need it for my new home in Enos. It's close to entertainment, so let's make it a challenge next year......)
Since the festival, there have been no major events, with spring rolled wheat, barley ears shaking in late August.
August 20th. The heat is still harsh that day and after training early in the morning, check the status as usual.
And I was on my own. My swordsmanship skills were up to two.
Name: Zacharias Lockhart Age: 4 Gender: Male Race: People
Place of birth: Rasmore Village, Lockhart Territory, Northeastern Border District, Caerm Empire
Level: Swordsman II
Skills: Sword II, Body VI
(It's just bareback, only swordsmanship is up, but in time, we'll start doing mock warfare or something. Then the dodging should go up, too. My pinnacle is "dodge." I want to get it up fast...)
I was napping in the shade of a windy tree, thinking about that.
When I started groaning, I heard a horse's hoof called Capocapo climbing the hill.
(That's unusual. Are you a customer?
Horses come up to the Mansion's "Museum Hill" about my family and my squire, and the luggage horses that carry them.
Nobody's out there today, and I don't think I can get my stuff delivered at this hot hour.
I was inspired by curiosity, and the drowsiness that had engulfed me flew away at once.
(I wonder who came. Go check it out...)
From the garden on the west side of the mansion, go where you can see the way up to the mansion.
When I got to where I could see him, the horseback rider was coming down from the horse flickering opposite me.
The horse is a blind spot and his whole body is invisible, but the lower body peeking from under the horse's belly also looks like an adventurer style with dark green trousers on brown leather boots and a shorter cape.
When the man came before the horse, he had eyes with me.
And I was out of line.
There stood an old beauty in leather armor.
