The only way for the two of them to be together forever though is her going to Japan, and settling everything with Kiryu. Her thoughts broke off when Haruka buried his head in her chest.

"Haruka?"

"I want to hold you over and over. Until I imprint my mark on you," Haruka muttered.

Lila flushed red when she deciphered the meaning of his words. Haruka's mark? She wonders what it would feel like if she had Haruka's mark and not Kiryu's. When Haruka suddenly stood up, she looked at him curiously, and he picked her up in his arms. When she saw they were heading towards the bath, her already red cheeks turned redder - she felt like her whole face was in flames.

"Haruka? Um say--"

"I want you,"

All of a sudden? Weren't they having a moment? And what happened to singing for her? Before Lila could question him, she saw the look in his eyes. Ah, she wrapped her arms around his neck again. The two of them are helpless, aren't they? Using this to convey their deep feelings for each other, using it as a means to distract themselves.

It didn't take them long before they reached the bathroom, as expected of the high-class hotels here. The bathroom was rather spacious, a large square bathtub in the corner. Haruka placed her inside. The moment the water made contact with her clothes, it stuck to her body, Lila got ready to remove her clothes when Haruka tore the material from her body.

"Haruka, aren't we taking a bath?"

It was a stupid question, but that was the first thing that came to mind when she saw how gorgeous the bathroom was.

"Later," he murmured.

Lila touched his cheek, "Don't be too stupid, okay?"

His lips curve to a smile, "I'll try not to," he trailed off, and his lips are on her neck, "Maybe, you should give me instructions. What do you want me to do?"

Even though he was acting like an idiot, and all that. When she felt how gentle he held her like she was somebody precious. The tears fell from her eyes.

"Crying again, you really do cry easily," Haruka murmured, "I love you; stay with me, forever.."

'Yes,' Lila thought. But for some reason, the words could not leave her lips.

In the seventeen years of her life, Kogami Yori has experienced many harsh things. As the heiress to the 'Nase' household, she underwent many situations an average child wouldn't have gone through though her family status wasn't on the same level of prestige as Lila's or Kasumi or Akari's. It still held a degree of prestige - and that degree of prestige is the reason why people respect her so much. Though unlike the other three, the respect people had for her was more on a spiritual belief level. She went through a lot of painful, harsh, and upsetting moments. She broke down a lot. But during those painful moments, her leading light was the girl named Terashima Lila.

The girl held the fate of several people's lives on her shoulder. That wasn't just a figure of speech either. Yori was quickly acquainted with those people. There are Kiryu and several others, and the one thing that connects them is the feelings they have for the girl. Yori was clever; people even considered her as a 'genius.' That's why she worked it out easily. Lila's fate is terrible when it comes to love. No matter who she chooses, there will be a disaster along the way.

That's why when Yori noticed Lila's feelings for Austin Kiryu. Yori didn't encourage her. At least not at the start. But after she watched the two every single day, Yori realized that Austin Kiryu was different. Perhaps he would be the one to change Lila's cursed fate. Yori didn't know whether it had anything to do with the family powers. But it wasn't just gut instinct that lead her to believe that Lila's fate is terrible when it comes to love. It had something to do with her powers, the ones that she inherited from her Mother.

When Yori realized Lila's fate was a bad one and saw the girl shoulder many heavy burdens. Yori knew she couldn't complain about her situation anymore. Because of that, Yori developed an easygoing and laid back personality similar to her Mother. People described her as bubbly, cheerful, and friendly. The past seventeen years of her life, Yori has spent it like that no matter what happened. Even when people were harsh to her, she always wore a smile. But for the first time in her life, she's met somebody she can't deal with.

An annoyed looking Kogami Yori could no longer take it, and snapped at the white-haired man in front of her, "President, you do realize I have a tournament coming up. What on earth are you doing? Slave driving me and depriving me of my practice time."

The man in front of her is her President - 'Soichiro' since she signed with his agency he hasn't hesitated to work her like a slave. Yori figured that something like this would happen. That's why she initially didn't think to sign with them, despite knowing it would be easier for Lila.

"Are you even listening to me?" Yori exclaimed.

At her words, Soichiro looked up, since earlier all this man has done was play around on his phone and watch movies. At first, Yori thought he was doing work. But when she brought over work for him to check she saw him watching films.

Soichiro sighed, "Why are you complaining? I thought you were good with paperwork."

"I am, but this is simple slave driving," Yori said as she pointed to the large pile on her 'desk.' Since she was a new person in the company, Soichiro didn't bother getting her space in the office and put a random table in his office. So she had to do all her work here. His excuse was that he was protecting her due to her being a high-level artist. But the reality is, "I know you don't trust me, but you can't just abuse the system because of that."

Yori knew the main reason for his apparent dislike towards her is his lack of trust. This man hasn't shared anything regarding helping Lila out with her jobs - despite it being the obvious thing to do. Isn't the main reason why he accepted her into the company, so she can take Lila's place? Why didn't he ask her to do those unreasonable missions?

"It's not a matter of trust or not. The paperwork is important; otherwise, we wouldn't be able to function as a company. Or did you see any irrelevant documents?"

Yori paused as she thought about it. There weren't any irrelevant documents. She shook her head.

"Then, just continue like you have been."

'This man is unreasonable,' Yori muttered. She's never met anybody like this before. Yori wonders how Lila tolerated him this whole time. It's no wonder her friend disliked going to the company to work. No wonder Lila has looked so worn down since her journey started. Yori always thought it was because of Karashima Haruka, that man has the reputation of being a slave driver judge after all. However, it wasn't like that at all. From what she saw, Karashima focuses on Lila's health the most. Though Lila still has a packed schedule, Yori noticed how well organized the schedule was. Karashima ensures that Lila takes long breaks while maintaining a good schedule. It must have taken a lot of effort to do something like that.

Yori sighed, forget it. It doesn't seem like she can get through to him. She ought to just finish the work quickly. On her way back to her desk thought, she caught a glimpse of the photo on the man's desk. He didn't even bother hiding it, so Yori figured that everybody in the company knew about it.

"One last question."

"What?"

"Do you really love Lila?" Yori asked, her tone turned serious.

"Yeah, I do."

Her eyes widened; she wasn't expecting him to respond. Yori expected him to brush her off like before, but he didn't this time. So, when it concerns matters regarding Lila -- this guy is like all the others. No matter how bad his personality is, he won't deny the feelings he has for the girl he loves. Yori said no more to that and walked back to her desk. It must be painful, a one-sided love.
