The Countess of Cashford saw the approaching duke and, with a gentle smile, put her arms around his, but there was nothing  that reflected from poor Helena’s eyes.

‘I’m ruined.’

The duke had known it all.

Helena sighed. She felt as if the world was ruined, feeling the darkness in front of her eyes.

That day, Helena couldn’t remember how she got back from the party. There must have been one or two instances of being ignored by some noble ladies, but the memory was vague. Little things like that were good.

As soon as she got home, Helena threw off her dress and wig and ran to the workshop.

She delivered a letter yesterday that she wanted to visit the duke’s residence for the first garment, and was waiting for a reply. If the duke did not delay the date, there were now about four days left.

“I hope Duke Bronant’s is here. So I won’t have to come back just to withdraw his order…”

Helena murmured as she stared into the air.

All the way home, she had thought of many things to solve what had happened in the carriage, but there was no clear solution.

When the duke found out the truth, there was no possibility of withdrawing the order. However, saying that <Book of Knights> betrayed his trust was the worst possible situation had to be stopped somehow. So Helena ran to the workshop.

All the apprentices were engaged in making the duke’s clothes. Helena cut right between them. Since this was the case, she had no choice but to quickly create flawless clothes, even if it takes a day.

For aristocrats, appearance is the most important thing. Even Duke Bronant wouldn’t be able to ask for a refund if anyone could come up with great clothes.

And for Helena’s healthy mental world, it was better to focus on making clothes. It’s not something that can be solved by worrying alone anyway, so she rather grab a needle than thinking about the uncormfortableness.

It was when Helena, who stayed at the workshop busy making the duke’s clothes, Jerome hurriedly ran inside.

“Miss!”

“Jerome? What’s going on?” Helena looked at the old butler with a worried look. She has never seen him so flustered. Even when his father was in a carriage accident, Jerome was calm.

“Duke Bronant is here.”

“What? Who’s here now?” However, the news from Jerome surprised Helena even more and was startled out of her seat.

“The duke suddenly came to check the progress of the clothes.”

“There are still three days left before I told the Duke to visit…”

There was not even a reply yet. Helena’s face grew serious. She never thought that Duke Bronant would attack right away.

When she looked at Jerome, he also had a dark face. As soon as Helena came home yesterday, she told Jerome that she had been caught. Their faces darkened in an instant.

“Is he here to cancel the order?”
