Coming out from the shadows of the cave's entrance, Blue greets me with a smile.

Sigh, thanks the heavens it's Blue. This coincidence almost gave me a heart attack.

"Hello Blue, this is Bia and Leticia, they are our guests"

"Hello Mistress Bia! Hello Mistress Leticia!"

""Hello Blue!""

"And this is Aqua and Marine, your new comrades."

"Aqua!"

"Marine!"

"Blue!"

The three circle around each other and start to play.

Good, it seems like they will get along really well.

As this thought came to my head, I felt someone pulling my arm. I turned around and it was Leticia.

"Hey Plate, hmm, I have a question..."

I nodded to her, and waited for her to continue.

"Only those three."

"Hmm, you know, if you get more...can you give me one?"

I took a look at her...

"Hum, sure. If you can help Ruyk heal up, I will give one to you."

"I want one too!"

"No."

Bia grabbed my arm, as she implored to me.

"Why!? Please! I promise to take good care of him!"

But I flatly denied.

"No, for you, it's impossible."

"Eh!? This is discrimination! Only because my-"

I cut her before she can accuse me of being a pervert or ask about my preferences.

"No, it has nothing to do with that. It's just because you don't know Mana Manipulation, so even if I give you, it would just die..."

"So you are fine with small ones?"

.

..

...

It seems it didn't work...

"...Look, can you even learn Mana Manipulation?"

"Of course I can!"

"Then let's make a bet! If you are ever able to discharge Mana from your fingers, come back to me and I will give you a Sprite for free, but until then, don't ask me anymore."

"Ugh, you are looking down on me, just you wait! I will come back in a week!"

Yeah, sure. If Mana Manipulation was so easy to learn, apprentice mages wouldn't need years of training for their first spell and the mage profession wouldn't be so rare. Thinking about this, this body is truly a bless, I wonder how long a normal mage has to train to reach my degree of Mana Manipulation...

Since the introductions were over, it was time to enter the cave. I took the lead and both ladies followed me just a step behind.

While Bia was making an angry face, Leticia took initiative to start the talk again.

"So, who is Ruyk?"

"My subordinate, the goblin your hunters shoot."

"Oh! So he is the one...well, I will try my best, don't forget your promise!"

"Of course."

Seeing I would not say anything else, she changed the subject.

"This place is quite dark..."

"Well, until two days ago I had no access to here, so I didn't have the time to change anything yet."

"You didn't have access? What do you mean?"

"Well, there was a huge rock blocking the tunnel leading here, I was stuck on the other side so I couldn't get out. I had already half resigned to my fate of living underground when suddenly, yesterday, those hunters appeared and start shooting at us."

"Honestly I was quite surprised. Then, the story you know happened, they hurt Ruyk, I shot a fireball at them, ended up killing one, they ran away and I ran to Ruyk to give any first aid I could."

"After that I inspected the place they came from and found traces of a broken seal, my guess is the rock blocking my way out was result of the seal and since the seal now broken it vanished as well..."

"Anyway, passing the unsealed cave led me to some ancient ruins, and it's in these ruins entrance that we are right now."

Bia seemed to have recovered and joined the talk.

"Ruins? What kind of ruins? The hunters mentioned something but I can't really trust them after meeting you."

"Hmm, well, right ahead there is a large hall. After analyzing the architecture and monuments, my conclusion was that this is a small chapel dedicated to the God of Death."

Hearing the "God of Death" title, both girls trembled and grabbed my arms.

"The God of Death? The one who said to have killed all his followers at the end of the last war?"

"Hey, don't use the situation to take advantage of me!"

"I don't know what you are talking about, right Leticia?"

"Yeah, yeah, I just grabbed you because I was scared."

Sign... As if I would believe that!

Soon all of us arrived at the large hall.

"Yes, that God of Death, and this is the hall I was talk about. Don't worry, there are no traps here and all monsters seem to have been eliminated long time ago."

They nodded but didn't let my arms go.

So I let go of the wheelbarrow in the middle of the hall and started showing them around the ruin.

"As you can see, these columns and walls have some writings on them. If you translate it, you will learn that it says the teachings of the God of Death."

As I stop near the statues, the two started start trembling.

"These statues are made in his honor, they mostly signify death and rebirth."

Then I go to a specific wall.

"And here is the entrance of the sacrifice chamber where they made sacrifices to their God."

I pushed the loose tile and the wall starts sinking on the ground revealing a corridor toward the sacrifice chamber. The two grab me even stronger and tremble nonstop.

"In this sacrifice chamber thousands of lives were sacrificed. Young, old, man, woman, human, elf, dwarf and even demons. The Death God makes no distinction when accepting a sacrifice."

Suddenly I turned to them while pulling them toward me and whispered in their ears, acting like a pious priest of the Church of Death I said:

"Welcome to the God of Death's sanctuary little lambs. Join us in this sacred ritual, offering your lives in honor to our Eternal God. No need to be afraid! We all shall meet again in the Underworld! After all Death is Life but Eternal!"

Suddenly I felt they losing control of their bodies and starting to fall. Luckily I already had them in my arms so I slowly put them down, or else they could get hurt.

"Oh, they fainted..."

It seems I took my joke too far... ;)
