Dungeon Master Makeup Money

Lesson 14: Despair of Runaway ③

Nobility law.

Apart from the laws that all citizens must abide by, there are laws that nobility must abide by.

Primarily prohibitions in territorial management, obligations relating to taxes that must be paid to the State. It also describes rights such as pensions that can be received according to the title and preferential treatment in comparison to the civilian population.

In it, the only thing you have to pay attention to now is punishment.

"Whoever returns the throne by punishment cannot be given the throne again"

This was a necessary measure not to be taken lightly because some nobles were trying to regain their title by using handouts from the time they were nobles, even if they had sinned. Nobles are proud to be nobles. If I can't get that finest pride back, I might hesitate.

There are many demoted nobles in the Gardis Empire. There were those who wielded power as they were conscious when the title was high, and there were sinners.

Punishment must be severe.

It was a necessary measure to maintain the nation.

"The head of the Maddin family, who plotted treason against the state, will not become a nobleman again. But it's a punishment for him, not for Zeon."

"The text has a continuation"

- Note that it also applies to descendants by the weight of sin.

"National treason is the greatest sin. Still, it's wrong for the offspring to be held accountable forever."

So, if you plot a national treason, you can't get the title until the guilty person and descendants six generations away.

No matter how much credit you have made, you will never be a nobleman.

"It was your great-grandfather who took part in the civil unrest. You can't get a title until six generations away, so you can get a title if your great-grandson is recognized for some merit. For the first time since then, the Maddins have a chance to rebuild."

"Well..."

Zeon collapsed.

Xuan Sun makes a feat of it. I should need to be growing to be as old as I am, so fifty years could be the story ahead no matter how hard I've worked from now on. By then I was about seventy years old, and I don't even know if I could live.

What shocked me more than anything was that Zeon himself would never be appreciated for how hard he worked.

"Well... then what the hell was my effort!

Zeon's fury echoes in the blink of an eye.

Everyone in the unit knew he was trying. I know how careless it is because I've known it since I was a child. [M]

"I don't know anything like that."

But the emperor's words were not bare.

"I don't know..."

"I don't know exactly because that's what I heard, too. But you should also explain to your family how you returned the title."

It affects not only the family, but also the offspring.

Given the problems later, it's not surprising that officials have had as much trouble explaining them.

"I'm sure I didn't want to admit it."

Zeon's grandfather, whom I met, was over sixty. I remember being older than my age, like I was struggling when I was younger.

I dreamed of becoming a nobleman even in that state.

And I was counting on Zeon until just before he died five years ago.

I don't think you know it's impossible to rebuild the Maddin family.

"That man was adamant about being aristocratic. I can't abandon my aristocratic life, and the money I earn from it will be extravagant and quickly spent."

Extremely poor lives await after they run out.

Your grandfather was a nobleman. He was a man who could have earned money if only he had a job from the experience of being educated in brilliance at an early age.

Still, that's why I was living in extreme poverty.

"If I hadn't dreamed of being noble, I wouldn't have had to live such a poor life......!

"Right. This award made it easy for me to find out about you guys. He's been living in poverty for a long time, but if he'd accepted to be a civilian, he could have lived a legitimate life up to six generations away."

"Huh..."

Zeon is frightened.

I know I didn't have that kind of savings.

"The territory attached to the title was confiscated, and even if he had a medal, his pension would no longer be paid. Still, they didn't have any hands on Maddin's assets."

The amount is enough that the more you normally live, the more decades you can spend without feeling impoverished.

The empire at the time also made it possible to live pitifully about its descendants.

"It was the Maddin family's choice to scatter the goods without even thinking about the rest. Poverty comes from your own responsibility."

"Our, because...?

"What would have been aristocratic if it hadn't been for treason against the Empire in the first place..."

"Don't be ridiculous!

Running toward the Emperor as the Zeon, who was leaning down, rose up in momentum.

But there is a distance to the throne where the emperor is. In the meantime, the guard knight pushes me to the floor and I can't move.

"In the first place, then...! If I were to say that, I wish there was no such thing as the Gardis Empire!

"Hmm......!

"I hear the Maddins were originally counts of the Kingdom of Nova Skov. This would not have happened if the Gardis Empire hadn't attacked the Nova Skov kingdom."

"Insult the First Emperor! He built an empire thinking not only of his own country, which is at war, but also of the people who live in the countries around him. I don't want to see the faces of those who say things that discredit the deeds of the first emperor again! Deport this man immediately!

"" Ha. "

Zeon leaves between the two knights grabbing his arms and watching.

The face was very distorted by anger.

"I appreciate the work you've done in the war. So at least I'll save your life. From now on, you're going to live as a civilian, including descendants. You humiliated the first emperor, and you don't feel comfortable continuing to use him as a soldier!

"Ha, what a soldier in a country like this wishes from this side!

"You still say...!

"Oh, I'll tell you more than once......! No, I'm dissatisfied with just putting it into words. I will destroy this country."

"Xamah......!

Expose your anger to the Emperor in the words of Zeon.

I don't know afterwards what Zeon is doing when the knight takes me. I've heard rumors that you've become an adventurer. An adventurer wouldn't be deeply pursued about the past, so maybe he was just right to start over.

You didn't knight him, but Zeon has imperial swordsmanship. If the rogues are opponents, they might be able to show their heads as adventurers because they have enough power to be knocked down in one blow.

But it's up to A-rank that I can improve my rank. S-rank will be close to a knight because he will serve his country. I don't think I would tolerate an emperor who was all that angry becoming an S-rank.

I distrusted the country I made unhindered because I knew about his efforts.

It may indeed have been the rule set by law, but Zeon himself has done nothing wrong. Instead, I can't believe the country that spit that effort out because it was genuinely trying to serve the country.

All those people got the captain to hold them.

The territory the captain received had only a minimal number of people with fewer inhabitants and more power to fight. Thanks to those who were strong from the beginning, like us, they could be welcomed.

- This is everything I know about my "Zeon Maddin".
