Dungeon Master Makeup Money
Lesson 4: My Mother's Memories
"Oh, welcome home."
My mother was cleaning when I got back to the mansion.
My mother had been helping with business at some store since my father went missing and came to Alistair.
Before I became a Labyrinth Master, it was a late act that I thought I had to earn on behalf of my father.
"Did your mother-in-law know that there is a specially delicious demon that you get on the sidelines only during the winter months?
"Yeah, of course I do."
Mother answering Sylvia's questions that followed me into the mansion.
Unlike the ruins, it seems to be a commonly known circumstance on the periphery.
"Have I eaten, too?
I grew up eating the dishes my mother cooked for me, but I didn't remember eating the delicious ingredients that nobles wanted until they made a request to the adventurer.
"I'm sorry. It was difficult in our finances."
My father, who was the only earner, was a soldier in a small village.
My brother became a knight so I could get a lot of room to be sent, but before that, it was best for five members of my family to live.
"I guess I was able to eat that ingredient when he got excited before I met him and the year I married him."
That guy - he was laughing at me for remembering my father.
Nevertheless, it is a shame that someone who has eaten has been nearby.
"Why don't we take a break?"
Olivia, who was cleaning the living room when she moved to the living room with cleaning tools, also decided to take a break and get some tea.
I'm a little sorry to see you two doing your chores.
The mansion we live in is huge and one of us can't get around it. We couldn't just use our time for chores when we were out making requests. I really appreciate Mr. Olivia coming.
Well, given the current situation with more cohabitants, I'm glad I bought the mansion.
My mother makes me tea when I take a breath.
It was my mother's brewed tea that I haven't had in a long time since it became normal for Sylvia to brew completely these days, but it kind of reassures me. If you're not doing anything special, you're supposed to be using the same tea leaves, not at all.
"So, what the hell are you guys going to do this time?
My mother had been frightened because I had become a labyrinth lord so far or, if I realized it, had increased the number of female cohabitants one after the other.
"It seems like a crusade for demons that have encapsulated magic in their guild is in fashion, so I'm going to join you."
There is not a crusade request out there.
Funds earned by securing and selling in as clean a state as possible will be rewarded.
For this reason, it is not an easy request for an amateur to make.
"I'll just say no first, because I've only had cooking before and I don't know how to hunt."
"Still, I'd like you to tell me because it might help."
When I asked him in, he put his arms together and started thinking about digging up old memories.
"Snowwolf was the one I ate at a very young age."
The demon Snowwolf shows up after it snows.
Wolf would be a wolf-shaped demon.
"Anyway, I remember it was so delicious that I couldn't compare it to the meat I usually ate. The meat itself is not only rich in flavour, but also firm in the teeth. Besides, the stew made by simmering the meat was excellent. But I didn't cook the food then, so I don't know about the recipe."
I can't imagine how delicious it was.
"The next thing I ate was the snow rabbit that Chris excited to buy me the year I married that guy. Snow rabbits are cooked by me, so if you bring ingredients, I can make you the same thing."
"I'll help you too, mother-in-law"
Sylvia, my cook favorite, was thinking of taking the recipe from my mother.
"Pfft, this is gonna make my dream come true again."
"Dream, is it?
"It was my dream to teach my own daughter and son's daughter-in-law my cooking. Lately, Chris has been helping me cook, but he hasn't even taught me the real deal. Don't worry about that, Mr. Sylvia."
"Uh..."
Sylvia knows what she thinks of her mother.
You can't say anything from me.
Olivia has a complicated look as well. I'm glad my daughter is alive, but she has two other women.
"Just kidding. If you're going on a demon crusade, be very careful."
"I know."
It accumulates more magic than ordinary demons, which indicates that it is so much stronger. We wouldn't be easy to lose, but this is the first time we've ever had such a monster crusade. We need to be cautious.
But now it's better than that...
Grr.
There's a noise coming from Ira's stomach.
"It's about time for lunch. You guys have work to do, so I'll make you lunch."
"Thank you"
Melissa is totally used to eating at our place.
"Speaking of which, what does your mother usually do?"
I had never heard of any details.
"Haven't I ever taught you?
"Yes."
"I was originally from Alistair. I'm going back to my parents' house to help them run the store."
I'm only really doing enough to help, so I'm free to take time.
When I was just back in Alistair, they asked my parents to tell me they couldn't do it and let me work, but they seemed to make my time with my family a priority because I became a labyrinth lord and I could afford it financially.
"I think I heard you weren't close to your parents."
"Right. My father wouldn't approve of us because there was so much going on when we got married."
My mother's father - my grandfather to me has never had one.
I had previously asked in doubt when I was in the village, but my mother, who was the daughter of a merchant, was going to marry someone her grandfather had decided to marry sooner or later. When I met my father when I stopped by Dayton Village because of its business relationship, the two were only in the same pattern as getting married.
But it was my grandfather who disagreed with it.
The opponent is a soldier from a small village.
He was an unacknowledged opponent of no profit to his grandfather, a merchant.
But my father and mother were already married and spending time in Dayton Village, not at a stage where I could stop my mother's thoughts, but in a way that would be half-accounted for.
I didn't know Alistair had a grandfather because I hadn't even heard the exact place.
"Should I go say hello next time?
I had a desire to see him as my grandson.
"Right. You hired me because you were thinking more about your grandchildren than I was your daughter."
"Oh well."
Looks like you should go say hello after all.
You can't come from the other guy. It would be hard for me to go see my daughter's child, who I duped as my father.
But what if they weren't just grandchildren?
"Okay. So if I buy the ingredients, I'll give them to my mother's parents and go say hello."
Go sell the material you got as an adventurer to a merchant.
It should not be strange for merchants to try to get it for profit because it is so much ingredient that nobility wants it.
"I'm sorry. Make your own decision."
"No, your husband's grandfather is the same person for us as your grandfather."
"If it's not all wholesale, it's not a problem."
"Besides, it's not a bad thing to have a connection to a merchant."
Despite your suggestion to go against ferocious demons from now on, there's no way you've noticed them.
What a dependable companion.
