Dungeon Master Makeup Money

Lesson 1 A-Rank Adventurer

Three days after the war with the Glenvarga Imperial Army settled.

In the meantime, we were helping clean up after the war.

Repair of large holes, especially those drilled on the east side. This can't be filled unless it's someone with 'labyrinth manipulation' so either nature and me or Illis have to do it. But in Illis, where I'm not used to newly acquired skills, it takes time to work, so I did most of the work.

As a result, after noon on the third day, he managed to remove all spears from the bottom of the hole, finished filling the hole with soil produced by labyrinth manipulation, and also managed to restore to some extent the run-down streets using soil magic. There 'll be redevelopments and all that, and from here on out, we'll leave it to the dirt wizard who's in Krashel.

"So, what can I do for you?

All the party members, including me, had been summoned to the Guildmaster's office.

Aside from me, Sylvia was cooking out for people working on the reconstruction, and Ira was escorting people to show up. Melissa was restoring the north side of the street, just like me.

Everyone was busy with a lot of things.

"I'm sorry. I want to make sure first."

A serious looking guild master asks us lined up in front of the desk.

"Wouldn't you have been able to destroy the tens of thousands of troops that came later?

"Is that the case?"

At the beginning of his departure from Alistair, the main unit was also meant to be exterminated.

But after defeating just 10,000 troops, I changed my mind.

"In a nutshell, it was a pain in the ass."

"Trouble?"

"Because you will. We've been in custody for three days just to clean up 10,000 troops. And how many days do you think you'll be held if you have to take down tens of thousands of troops and clean them up?"

It takes time, at least on a monthly basis, and you need to act without going to sleep for the first few days.

I'm sorry for being so blunt.

I looked at the litter scattered after the battle beside Krashel and talked to the labyrinth nucleus, and they taught me how to get the troops back into a state of panic and flee.

"I mean, if you wanted to, you could also have dealt with tens of thousands of them"

"Well, yeah"

I'll be somewhat positive.

But I don't know what this confirmation means.

"I see what you guys are capable of. I have something I want to give you."

Four cards placed on the desk.

"What is this?

"That's your new adventurer card."

"What?"

We haven't lost any Adventurer cards that could be used as ID cards.

I don't need you to reissue it.

"Turn it over."

The rank that it says to take one card and turn it over as told by the Alliance Master was' A '.

"Congratulations, you four are A-rank adventurers from now on"

- Four?

That's bad.

It was Ira, Melissa and Iris who felt that way and were frowning the same way.

Only one person, Sylvia, was purely happy to be ranked higher.

I know a normal adventurer would be happy to get a higher rank, but it's not very pleasant for us. I don't have trouble earning money because of the labyrinth. I work as an adventurer to make sure I don't get suspicious that I earn money.

"No, it is necessary -"

"Unfortunately, adventurers don't have the right to refuse to rank up. I have already received recognition from other Alliance Masters. If you really didn't want to increase your rank, you shouldn't have done that much of a conspicuous imitation."

I tried to say no, and the Alliance Master came with his voice covered.

You need to be recognized by multiple Alliance Masters to promote the Adventurer Rank to A-Rank. Perhaps Alistair's guild master will accept it without any problem, but since he doesn't know any other city guild masters, he won't ask any guild masters other than Alistair to do so from Krashel's guild masters.

It's like crushing the Alliance Master's Ments to say no even though he recommended ranking up that far.

I don't have a choice to say no if I think about the future.

"The guild masters of other cities have often acknowledged it."

"Alistair made it easy for me to get recognition. He nodded to me when he asked for me to be the Guildmaster of Hafel."

"Hafer......"

Since Hafel is a city not so far from Alistair, I have followed merchants on several requests for escorts because of the large number of people traveling and going.

At that time, I never met the Alliance Master, but it seems that the Alliance receptionist remembered his face within a few visits, so maybe the Alliance Master remembered his name from there as well.

If you say no here, you will crush the Ments of the three Alliance Masters.

"Okay. I'll get a promotion."

"Right."

The Alliance Master laughs happily.

If you become an A-rank, you will be able to benefit from discounts and other kinds of benefits from the stores the Alliance is partnering with, but you cannot refuse in the case of a request as urgent as this one.

Looks like this guy is going to push his duty in anticipation of my powers.

Unfortunately, I am no longer going to participate in the war.

I got tired of cleaning up after.

"Sorry for the promotion, but I think it's time to go home to Alistair"

I've settled down after cleaning up.

There's no need for us to stay any longer.

"Right. What about the rewards?

It looks like the Alliance Master isn't going to hold us back in particular, even though he took the initiative from himself to rank us up.

"We'll take whatever food the Imperial Army brings in, except for what we serve in the cookout. I have no problem bringing it back because I have the best skills for preservation"

It's food for tens of thousands of people, so even if I only got half of it, it's quite a few.

The question is, thanks to the toolbox (item box), how do we handle it because we can't eat it out on our own even if we didn't have a problem saving it? It's just not efficient to magically convert food.

"We will also leave half of the equipment, such as weapons and protective equipment. If you want to use it as a weapon as it is, if you want to melt it and use it as a metal, use it freely. But I'll take precedence over magic tools."

I'm going to give it to the Labyrinth with a magic conversion for the equipment.

"The problem is..."

"Nearly a thousand slaves."

You just can't halve a slave.

No, I can bring only half of them back, but they have reconstruction work to do, so I have to get Krashel to stay. Plus, unfortunately, I have no use for half a dozen slaves where I've taken them home.

"If that's the case, I'll take ten silver coins per person."

It's a lot of crude price as a slave price, but let's assume the price has collapsed because a thousand people have also offered it. Plus, a sale of 1,000 people makes 100 gold coins.

If you can get it from the sale of useless items, it's a lot of money.

"It's fine to sell, what are you going to use it for?

"If you're an Alliance Master, you have a lot of uses for people. You can get as many as 1,000 workers. A hundred gold coins is cheap."

They didn't tell me the specifics.

Sell over 1,000 slaves for a hundred gold coins for no particular reason to disagree. Fractions are services.

"The next time you're attacked, I'll ask for rescue first, so thank you."

Is that what you recommended me to A-rank for?

"Shall we go home"

Take a party member back to Alistair, where your family is waiting.
