Lesson 17: The Temple of Alsam

Temple dedicated to the hunting god Alsam.

The temple itself is everywhere in the city.

However, the General Headquarters exists in Elente, the capital of the Estore Empire.

The General Hall, created in the heart of the capital.

"Wow, you have quite a few people"

I accidentally zeroed it.

Dozens of people lined up in front of the main hall. It includes ordinary people who seem to live normally in the city, wondering if hunters are central because they are the temple of the hunting god.

"I guess I used to hear that praying to the hunting god would make the day better, because there were rumors that many hunters who weren't supposed to be too keen on faith were forming rows"

Noel, who was a 'witch' in a neighboring country, had about minimal information.

According to her story, the hunting god is still popular with hunters. Still, it is believed only by the hunters, not that.

It was also popular with ordinary people because of its many riches in the Estore Empire.

Still, I wasn't faith enough to go to the temple and pray from time to time.

"That's how things are connected to faith right now."

Pray to Alsam and you will get many crops.

Pray to bestow favors on those who are not farmers because they only need a little.

"That's not what God is."

I'm inadvertently exhaling.

I do give my faith out of the desire to be saved.

However, I believe that salvation is a secondary thing and that we should not give our faith to be saved.

Well, if God himself doesn't care, it's fine.

We'll get in line and go inside the temple.

"Hey, do you need a donation?

Whoever was about to enter the temple now was giving the priest money.

"... because the temple is not a charity either."

Noel says out of sight.

Noel himself had never received a direct donation because of his position as a 'witch', but he was nevertheless in a position to live with the donation he received, so he cannot strongly say anything negative about giving the donation.

The donation is only a kind of feeling.

I gave Sister one silver coin as a slight feeling.

"This is so......!

"That's okay. 'Cause we might be bothering you from now on."

"Um, what's that..."

Sister, who was given a silver coin, is confused.

There's no reason to go into detail in a place like this, so we head to the back of the temple.

In the deepest part of the temple there was an altar and a large statue, thought to be a man, was placed. Probably Alsam the man worships in the temple.

In front of the altar there is the figure of a man who prays indifferently with his hands together.

It's not like I have that much faith.

Rather, considering what we are about to do, I wonder if we can pray because we are equal to God's enemies.

"Just come to the temple and go home without prayer..."

Noel whispers in his ear.

Close proximity conveys the feel and exhale of her sarcastic hair.

"... Huh!

Noel's face turns bright red because he understands it.

I can't see the look on my face by leaning down, but my beast ears and tail are honestly moving picnicely. This is like Noel's habit and he can't cure it if he's conscious.

"What are you doing in front of God?

Attention and jito eyes are turned from the Illis.

Certainly shouldn't do that in a sacred place, as she says.

I pray when I poke my knees in front of the altar imitating the people who are praying.

"Does this fit?

First prayer.

I don't know if it fits because I did it by imitating the appearance.

This is the first time I have prayed in the village of Dayton because there would not have been even a temple or a church without a god or something to worship. I was in and out of the temple to escort Noel back when he was still a 'witch', but I didn't do anything to pray because I was at work then.

And you heard me whining. I can hear you laughing couscous from behind.

"It's okay. It is a heart of gratitude to God that is most needed to offer prayers. If you haven't forgotten that mind, there's no problem with the manipulation."

Rather, that mind can be more of a problem.

While praying for Alsam, the hunting god, because he does not have any faith or other shards, he made me pray for the disease-free breath of his family and family... definitely not the kind of content to pray to the hunting god.

"Thank you"

Nevertheless, thank you.

Turning around, there stood a woman in a legal coat behind her.

"Ah..."

Noel, who saw the woman's face, shrugged unexpectedly.

If I pretended to know nothing here, I might have been able to push it through by mistake. But they've already noticed.

"Maybe..."

And a woman with cat ears from above her head seems to have noticed, too.

"Are you Dear 'Witch'!?

Woman - Marsene shouts out loud and surprised.

It's like I've even seen a ghost...... no, I can also nod that look because he's the one I thought was dead for Marsene.

Marsene.

A witch who previously assisted Noel as a 'witch' in the Kingdom of Memphis, one of those who was seen as the next 'witch' in the event of Noel's death on the Temple Street. I have the strength, but I was turning my hand so that my father could bribe the church and be the next 'witch' because he was rich. I know that fact, but we don't have a good impression.

How could she be here like that?

And it turned out to be very bad.

"He's alive, isn't he?"

"Yeah......"

Awkward air flows.

'Witch' is supposed to be dead on the surface. It would be troublesome if the 'witch' were known to have been alive.

"Rest assured. I don't imitate the fact that the witch was really alive... but most people like me say it's not convincing."

The look on Marsene's face darkens out of self-blame.

I dress qualitatively because I'm a clergyman, but I feel awful guilty when I let you down because you look adorable.

"Hey, what's going on...?

"Mr. Marsene is crying."

"... who are those guys?

The overturned Marsene also looks like she's crying.

A gaze is turned to blame from the faithful who were praying that they were shown that way.

"Let's just calm down"

"No, Master Witch came to blame for me, didn't she?"

"What..."

The figure looks like Marsene is blamed on Noel.

Marsene, in this temple, was staring at Noel, who seemed to be admired and blamed by the followers of the hunting god Alsam.

"Ugh..."

Starred by unspecified people.

The sight was enough to remind me of the hatred that had been directed against me by the people of the Kingdom of Memphis, who were becoming Noel's trauma.

"And let's just move the place!

Take Noel and Marsene to a restaurant nearby where they are likely to cry. I order drinks because it's early for lunch. Now you should drink something delicious and change your mood.

Put your hands on the juice that Marsene was transported to. She also wanted moisture because she was nervous.

"So what do you mean, blame it?

Melissa asks with tenderness and then the feeling of inquiry.

Marsene is reacting vividly to that word.

I know it's something Noel should have heard, but Noel is not in a state where he can be questioned because he's having a relapse into trauma right now.

"... I shouldn't have. Having been divinely punished, I came to Estore Empire abandoning the Kingdom of Memphis to hide my old body even though I was a witch. Even though my body wasn't moving and tired as I thought it would be during that journey, I can't believe I did such a stupid thing."

Marsene drinks up the juice at once and puts the cup loud on the table.

"What's that?

- It's the coming of God.
