Dungeon Master Makeup Money

Episode 8: Before Destruction -

Until earlier, only my brother, a young man from the Knights, had come as a starting point, but after a little time, the other knights would join.

"Well, let me know what's going on."

Now the head of the Knights of the Alistair family is partitioning the venue.

The Knights Commander is a great silver-haired man who is nearly two metres tall and is sometimes admired by the inhabitants for having built up muscles.

The place is a large conference room in the Knights' quarters.

There was a gathering of officials from this case.

First, three village chiefs were fleeing demons - Dayton, Sage and Mort as representatives of each. Lew, the village chief of Dayton compared to the middle aged villages of Sage and Mort, is still young, with two village chiefs next door and constricted. Of course, the village chief is not the only cause of constriction.

And Mr. Rooty is coming from the Adventurer Alliance because of the disturbance to which the demons are associated. I'm being joined as the first adventurer to rush. I just want to go home because Sierra in my arms started to utter, but given the situation, that's not going to happen either. It stays this way because even when I tell him to pick me up from the mansion, he won't even respond to whether the argument is incandescent or not.

And finally, from the Alistair family, the Knights Commander and his brother, who knows the most about the situation.

Plus...

"Just give me a minute. What's that kid over there?

He was looking at a child in a position where the village chief of Sage Village could see them all.

You can't be a normal child to be in a position where you can see everyone and hear everyone's words.

But I may have no choice but to because I only look like a child.

"Rude! This is Elliot, the next head of the Alistair family!

It was the deacon of the Alistair family who roughed up his voice.

He's the one who's educated Elliot since he was a young girl, and if it's true today, he should have been in this place feeling like a class tour, but he couldn't help blaming me for hearing rude words.

Next door there are three ministers who work for the Alistair family.

Each is a representative of a different field to respond pragmatically to this disturbance.

"And excuse me!

The village chief is in a hurry to bow his head.

He's the most powerful village chief in the village, but that degree of power is quicker to count from below among the people currently in this room. Or three village chiefs are in the same line at the bottom.

"Okay, never mind."

"But..."

"It's not an emergency, it's not like you care about the end of things."

"... Yes, sir."

Deacon also falls back as Elliot himself tells him.

"I'm sorry I broke your hip about the story. Keep talking to me."

"So, from the village chief of Dayton Village"

"Yes!

Talk about what happened to Lew nervously, prompted to talk by Elliot and the Knights Commander.

Three days ago. That day, he succeeded in obtaining large quantities of meat, even though he had only hunted near the forest entrance. For this reason, a banquet was to be held open to all villagers, including the meaning of consuming meat.

However, for some of the villagers, that was the last supper.

The anomaly occurred the night the liquor turned and the intoxicated began to come out.

"Hey, what...?

Suddenly I could hear the wolf howling from all over the place.

It's not how many places I hear it from. The whole village is completely surrounded.

"Oh, village chief......!

One of the young men from the village came running over.

I wasn't drunk because I was still pre-adult so I kept my liquor down.

"The village is surrounded by tons of wolves - no, Forest Wolf!

"What!?

After receiving the report, Lew also approaches the fence that surrounds the village.

"Become...!?

I lost my words unexpectedly to the sight that was spreading outside the village.

I was really surrounded.

They didn't see it dark and clear, so there could have been a gap in the siege net by then. But the only demons they usually see are a few that have popped out of the woods. I never saw enough demons to surround the village.

The fear of the village chief will soon spread to the entire village.

The villagers, who found out they were surrounded, desperately looked into whether there was a gap in the siege of Forest Wolf somewhere.

However, there was nothing to improve the situation.

That's how - the next morning.

Weak but numerous demons like Goblin and Kobolt surrounded themselves with bitches to fill the gaps in Forest Wolf.

The morning will allow everyone to see such a situation.

Desperate villagers.

Their opinions will be broken in two.

Those who push themselves but get out of the village and those who try to close themselves to the village.

Most of those who thought they were going to get out were young people, and most of those who decided to close and cage were old men. Because on the old man's feet it was impossible to escape the demons.

What should we do now?

Discussions based on opinions divided into two parts will follow parallel lines.

But the discussion didn't last forever.

Even though they are sturdy built, the more they are surrounded, the more they are attacked by massive demons, the easier they are to break the village fence and so on.

"Wow!

"To, run......!

I panicked immediately.

"Calm down! Running to the dark clouds will feed the demons."

That's when the blood broke out.

A powerful big man in the village had been bitten by ten Forest Wolves.

"Ha, help..."

I found out from anyone's eyes that it wouldn't help.

"Run away!

One of the old men screams and runs out.

Besides, other old men followed.

They were running in the same direction at once.

"Wherever you say you run..."

"If I could count on you in such an emergency, I'd be at the lord's. Anyway, run as hard as you can to Alistair! If you're a village chief, this is the time to take action."

"Wow, okay......!

But their destination was packed with demons.

There is no exit from the village or anywhere else.

"If not, not until we make it."

The old men squeeze their power and storm the demons.

"Bye!"

"To this extent…"

"Go!

An old man is eaten by demons.

But thanks to my obsession with eating, I got a gap in the siege net.

"Why..."

"Old fashioned, younger than the shorter eagles stay."

"But..."

"Let's go!

Encourage the old man in the village who remained beside him to run.

Parents with young people and young children pass by the demons one after the other.

"Grrrrrrrr......!

A demon who was devouring man's flesh turns a sharp gaze.

"Mm..."

Have you noticed?

I realize if dozens of humans escape no matter how obsessed they are with eating.

"Knock..."

Some of the old men who remained thought Lew was itching to be noticed stopped their legs.

"I'll take care of this place. Go ahead."

"Yeah, I got it."

"Oh no...!

In the power of the village, we are no match for a herd of demons where we all join forces.

The future chosen by the old men because at least a little more villagers could escape was to keep the demonic legs at bay by sacrificing themselves.

Then we arrive in the neighbouring village, being chased by demons.

The distance you can reach in an hour or two if you run on people's feet as well.

Seventeen old men who were in the village in just that amount of time were sacrificed.

That's not all. A child who could not come about escape, a parent who tried to help a child who had been sacrificed, someone who had been unluckily attacked.

The number of villagers had decreased by about 30% at a stage reached to the neighbouring village with the sacrifice of many human beings.

And the casualties will still increase given the status quo that has extended all the way to Alistair.
