Lesson 7: Elmer's Seriousness

Girl and Elmer confront each other on the beach.

The beach is a very difficult place to fight. My feet are taken by the sand and I travel slowly, and scratching the sand prevents the sound from ringing and hiding the signs. If you use magic or skills, that's not the case, but neither of us possess them.

However, there are few disadvantages for the girl. I'm used to running in the sand from time to time. Of course, Elmer was aware that the girl would not bitter the beach.

"I'm fine. At least you're strong because Ira and I trained you."

"I'm sure he's stronger in his age..."

And you noticed about the Theodores.

Elmer snorts at my words.

There have been signs of being watched by someone as they play on the beach for the past few days. It must be a sign they're watching us, but they seemed to be watching people on the beach more than they were watching certain individuals.

I would be convinced if I thought that was by the Theodore tribe. I guess they were watching for any humans approaching the island.

And I remember the signs of the girl.

"I remember a few times"

Specifically at meals.

Sylvia used to bake meat on the beach, behave like a cook, and enjoy dinner served at the inn on the beach. The scent of delicious food reached the girl watching away. Apparently it was tantamount to torture on a growing girl, and I couldn't keep killing the signs.

Elmer, trained by Ira, was able to detect signs there as well, so he could feel the signs that had leaked.

"I also know who they are. Then there's no problem."

"Okay."

Away from Elmer, who reluctantly accepted to fight.

"Don't lose."

Hang in there.

A short distance away, two of Jem and Jilly were rooting for Elmer.

The two are partying with Elmer. Besides, he now believed in Elmer's victory by spending some time in the same house like his brothers.

"Huh."

I sigh a little embarrassed to be supported.

There is no cheering for the girl against. I know there's backup, but the men who seem to be guardians were watching the girl in arms at a remote location.

"I just want to hear one thing"

"What?

"Are you guys going to the island?

The girl's gaze is directed towards the island.

"No, there isn't."

I'm telling Elmer about our policy.

Although he is a child, he seems to want to help people in need because we have worked out and gained strength, but basically all three of them are obedient to us, so he did not imitate his mouth to the policy.

"Then there's no reason for me to fight you guys"

"I think so too..."

Elmer's going to look at this one.

Cross your hands and tell them that it is' impermissible '.

"Because that's the policy of parents"

"It's similar here."

The Theodore men are not moving either.

I don't know what you're thinking, but let me use this place.

"Looks like our parents are making us struggle with each other."

"Well, it's not like they're real parents, but they're just like parents to us."

The girl drops her hips and sets up her sword, and Elmer also sets her posture right.

"Just one thing from me, okay?"

"What?"

"What's your name?

"Dia. What's wrong with that?

"It would be rude to fight without even knowing each other's names. My name is Elmer."

"Yes."

Be courteous to Elmer.

And, the moment you know the name, the girl - Dia runs.

I turn back, just like when I dealt with an aristocratic boy earlier. It's a move that prioritized instantaneous forces in order to travel on the beach.

Dia waves her sword as she moves behind her back.

but from side to side the shock is slapped on the sword and bounced off.

"Heh."

Dia accidentally leaks her breath out of impression.

Sensing that he had been turned around behind him, Elmer slapped the sword with momentum as he rotated his body and turned.

"Phew."

Two swords to Elmer with his arms back as he was played.

I won't even plunder Elmer of what the two swords intersect in front of Dia. He was dodging Dia's sword by slightly defying his body behind him.

Dia's gap with both hands attacked at the same time is huge.

Elmer steps in and pokes his sword in.

The aim is the shoulder. There's nothing fatal about hitting here.

"Knock..."

Dia bends as she bites her lips.

A sword is swung down from the top while an attack aimed at the shoulder passes overhead and is hoarse.

Elmer, who had read beforehand that he would be avoided, had put in a light poke, adding and subtracting so that he could swing it down shortly after he had been avoided.

Dia rolls down the beach to avoid a sword that has been swung down.

Elmer's sword was choosing the beach.

Immediately Elmer also follows a rolling dia. But Dia walks away faster because she's not used to running on the beach.

Elmer stops when he checks that fact.

I chose not to waste my strength in the sand because it was easy to drain.

"This......!

But to young Dia, Elmer seemed to have pity on herself, and she felt terribly insulted.

When Dia rushes along the sandy beach and travels to the left side of Elmer, he changes direction in an instant and will be slashed.

Elmer is not moving with his sword pointing in the direction Dia was in until earlier.

I haven't been able to react. attack after judging it that way.

But Elmer's sword, shaken sharply, was firmly aimed at Dia's sword.

Dia stops her leg, intuitive that she will be bounced again.

Because I hallucinated the sight of my attack being stopped again...... I was smiling and distorting the edge of my mouth.

"You're strong. You."

"It's not so. If you're on the border, you can be attacked by demons who killed the signs if you distract yourself from even a simple herb collection job. If we're going to live on the border, we have to be able to find signs of others first."

There are only three Elmers parties so far.

At least one person needs to be vigilant when working in a place at risk of being attacked by demons, but then there are only two people who can turn to herb collection, and only one if vigilance is made a priority.

Then the results of the work will be degraded.

For this reason, adventurers working on the border must also be able to exercise perimeter vigilance while collecting herbs. Unless, of course, you know that there are dangerous demons in advance.

Elmer was also sensitive to the signs thanks to his activities on the border.

And above all...

"Come on, you can come about my movements"

Dia changed his methods of warfare to approaching slaughter, not ambush.

With the left and right swords, the timing is misaligned and slashed, but Elmer was smitten with all of it.

I know you're Dia confident in speed, but you're still no match for Ira, a labyrinth family.

When he was working out, Elmer was aiming to keep up with Ira's speed. Compared to the speed at that time, it's the speed at which you can follow.

"Wow. You're a pretty strong kid at that age,"

One Theodore man approached me as I watched Elmer fight.

Dia called the grown-ups "Father, Uncle". It should be in a fairly close relationship, but the man's gaze was directed towards Elmer.

"You don't have to support that kid, okay?

"My daughter has become too strong inside. But I wanted you to know that there are people in the world who are stronger than me. This is just the right opportunity."

I was choosing Elmer for my kid's training, just like I was.

And apparently Elmer got a pass from Dia's father.

"But our daughter can't lose"

Elmer tries to take it with his sword and recieve Dia's attack.

But this time, Dia's body drifts back.

"I got it!

Dia fires a blow all over her body.

The blow, which also forgot that it was a mock fight, only left Elmer with a deep wound on his cheek by turning his body at the critical point.

Blood flows from the slaughtered place.

"Hih."

Sierra is frightened to see her family bleed.

The two fighting were breathing heavily for engaging in battle. It would be time to let them settle.

"Elmer, do your best."

I mean it.

"I didn't say," Be serious. "I said," Do your best. "

That settles the battle.

"What do you mean?

Dia, the opponent, had no idea why. I knew exactly what Elmer meant because he was Dia with a sword.

I didn't mean it, I can't believe it when they told me.

"Okay."

Elmer also decided to "do everything in his power”.
