Dungeon Master Makeup Money

Episode Five: Cities Trapped in Ice - Previous

Mr. Philip can take you to the Guildmaster's private room in Krashel's Adventurer Guild.

The room was gathered with the great men of the town, including the executives, lords and other members of the Adventurers Guild, starting with the Guild Master.

"Mr. Dalton."

"Long time no see."

Plus, there was another former party member from England, Mr. Dalton, and several adventurers. When dealing with the demons out there, they called in powerful people to listen to the adventurers because they would take the initiative.

Me and Illis are one of them.

As long as I had representatives, I left about four people outside of Illis.

"Philip, how'd it go?

We were pretty far away. We could see from the top of the outer wall.

Something is approaching at a tremendous speed. Having received that report, the Adventurer Guild was lost in judgment and decided to send an experienced Mr. Philip.

Just as we dived through the gate, Mr. Phillip arrived in front of the gate, so we were able to rendezvous in good time.

"It was reinforcements that were closing in."

A breath of relief leaks from everyone who was in the room.

I had a faint idea about reinforcements from the fact that me and Iris came in together. However, if I am told from Mr. Philip's mouth, I will be convinced.

It would be a difference in credibility around here.

"In the meantime, communicate the current situation"

Melissa melted the ice armor that surrounded Krashel, and even began to come out to tears knowing that the town, which was frozen and attached without regeneration thanks to Noel, was also warmed.

"Hey, you don't have to cry that much..."

"No, it really helps. I've had freezing days since the incident happened. I didn't know how much I appreciated being able to stay warm and peaceful - thank you so much!

Everyone who was on the spot has bowed their heads.

Apparently it was a really chopped situation.

The two of you who were looking at this situation through my sight are illuminated.

"Sylvia is now focusing on cooking out. Looks like our Ira is helping, but the women in town who were in relatively spare time are helping, so you should thank them too."

"Absolutely. If this is what we're supposed to do, it's our job to make some kind of reward."

The moment I hear the Lord's words, Sylvia and Ira's movements stop.

It's unfair to be praised only by Melissa and Noel, so because of this, they both asked me to tell them what I was doing to get praised.

Well, it'll be fine around here.

"I should have been able to afford a little. I'm here to rescue you. I want to do something about you, but what the hell is that?

He who manipulates the armies of the ice armor.

"You know we lived in Kansas."

Mr. Philip and Mr. Dalton were wounded in the war against the Empire. It was so wounded that it would not otherwise be able to live satisfactorily, but it could be healed thanks to the skills of Illis gained by becoming a family member.

But I lost one of my people once again because I couldn't bring them back to life until I died. Originally, I was disinclined to continue my adventurer because I had long lost Tiana, whom Illis admired. Still, I was continuing my adventurer because Illis pushed me. We were going to protect ourselves as guardians until she was in public.

But I decided to retire because Illis joined our party, got out of their hands, and just the two of us.

After retiring, he lived like a mentor or advisor in Kansas where his friends, who were doing adventurers with him around the time of the run, were lords.

"The first time I felt strange was around the beginning of the year."

I felt colder this year than usual.

However, as I later found out, the feeling was not wrong and it was actually overwhelmingly colder than usual. However, it was decided to convince him only because it was a matter of nature.

The time I was convincing you of was deadly.

"It was unusually cold in the morning and the gatekeepers were pathetic."

And what the gatekeeper saw were hundreds of villagers fleeing with crawling bodies.

Dozens of ice armor marching from behind the escaping villagers.

Tough sight to accept even with your own eyes. I fell while one of the villagers was on the run while I was wondering what to do. A little kid about seven or eight years old. Someone, supposedly my grandfather, noticed that the child had fallen, rushed over to try to help, but by then the ice armor was already looming in front of me. An old man covers himself with his own body trying to help a child.

"Ha!

Ice armor piercing the sword from the old man's back.

He was an old man trying to protect only his children, but the sword that pierced the old man's body also pierced the child that was under the old man's body.

The other villagers knew there was nothing they could do about it to their extent, so they didn't imitate returning to help even when they realized the child had fallen.

"It was the villagers north of Kansas who were fleeing. They were fleeing south to escape the demons anyway, and they arrived desperately in Kansas."

The number of people was several hundred because of the gathering of the survivors of numerous villages.

Kansas also has an outer wall that envisages demonic raids. I was relying on it to evacuate to a little bigger town.

"The outer walls did exist. But it's not like I assumed an army raid."

Structurally really brittle gates than walls.

The ice armors had struck their weapons many times to destroy them when they arrived at the gate.

"It was an unexpected situation. But when I found out the demons were approaching, I was scratching adventurers and preparing them for battle."

At that time, he succeeded in destroying all the ice armor that was pushing him to Kansas by the work of adventurers and soldiers.

Running villagers appeased by the sudden defeat of the demon that attacked them.

A warm meal was also to be served in Kansas to labor them.

The day ended with a banquet-like noise.

"But the raid wasn't over."

The next morning, I woke up cold with temperatures that freeze more than yesterday.

It's not cold, etc. There was someone who fell asleep drunk outside by the banquet... but he was dead.

Cause of death is frozen death.

Since then, many people had come out complaining about the cold, they had gathered burning objects in the square to set huge flames on fire and warm them up.

"Become!?

A sound that echoes from where the gate was.

Turn your gaze and everyone will see the destroyed gate.

It was the ice armor that should have been crushed that destroyed it. The demons weren't defeated just because they were crushed. Moreover, there was an increasing number of reinforcements arriving because of a day.

"I didn't know what to do anymore."

Mr. Gantz, who was at the meeting, held his head.

I see. Mr. Gantz, who is supposed to be a lord in Kansas, is in Krashel because he had to dump Kansas?

"From there on, I took command."

It was Krashel who aimed under Mr. Philip's command. There are exterior walls that are not comparable to Kansas here, and lots of excellent fighting power.

The problem is how to evacuate.

No matter how many defeats, it's hard to evacuate long distances with women and children when tireless demons are attacking you regenerating.

If there was a gap in it, it would have taken time to play it. If regeneration was possible in an instant, we should have raided even during the banquet. We raided the next morning, for a good reason.

Betting on the time to regenerate, Mr. Philip moved on to the task of crushing ice armor with several pairs of adventurers' parties.

It turns out that Mr. Philip's predictions are false and that he can buy dozens of minutes until the playback is complete.

However, I did not know how to inhibit regeneration itself, so I thoroughly managed to escape in the time I earned.

"Krashel was informed by an adventurer who preceded him while he was letting the villagers escape, so he was able to make an urgent request"

A well-equipped Krashel.

Even thousands of demons could be won by their opponents.

The problem is the overwhelming ability to regenerate.

"You can win a single battle. But if you keep fighting the endless invisible battles for days, only this one will wear out"

Moreover, they were completely besieged because they were overconfident of their own power, and they were unable to abandon Krashel and flee.

Somehow, after three days of endurance, a rescue request was sent to us.
