Bai Qi and Bai Zhu sat in front of the Gu Ying with Su Yu, in order to discuss Li Juan's health.

"As per Miss Li's medical records, she already had a brain injury which is followed by a period of temporary memory loss. Those doctors who previously treated her already predicted the chances for a cerebral haemorrhage and very slight rate of survival. However, it is a miracle that somehow she survived it. The amnesia currently she is facing, it is only temporary," Gu Ying reported.

"Only a part of her memory is lost. She remembers her life till high school but has difficulty to remember the events which happened after that. However, her cognitive skills are pretty high and I can guarantee that she will recover soon."

Gu Ying's words brightened the gloomy faces of the people who sat before him.

"But you must be careful. You cannot force her to remember." He warned,

"We saw that Miss Li had no problem in recognizing her parents but she is unaware of her mother's death. Since it is a shocking truth, we cannot tell her the truth all at once. You can help her, but it is better that she figure out everything one by one."

"What about us? Will she remember us? Li Juan only met us one month before." Bai Zhu said.

"Of course," Gu Ying said, "you don't have to worry much. She will remember everything, just wait for a while. If there is anything else, you can discharge her within two days." He concluded with a gentle smile.

When Bai Qi left the doctor's room, his brows were creased in worry.

"Father, let's consider this as Princess's rebirth. It is a blessing that she forgot about her painful past,"

After a week, Li Juan got discharged from the hospital.

In the Yu palace, Bai Qi and his sons discussed the turn of events that had been happened over weeks.

They were planning to conduct Li Juan's coronation and her marriage as soon as she returns from the expedition. But no one expected that fate will be against them.

Li Juan who lost her memories was having a hard time adjusting with the Yu palace and her newly found family.

It took them quite a time to convince Li Juan that her mother is no more.

The worst thing that happened to Li Juan after the accident, that she became more silent.

She does not even remember her teammates or her friends.

The only person she remembers is her high school senior who is also her boyfriend. Since Li Juan forgot about the conflicts and quarrels that happened and only remembers their good old memories, Tang Wei Sheng became a regular visitor in Yu palace.

Due to Li Juan's current condition, no one in the Bai family could not restrain him from visiting her,

"Father, since the princess's condition is better than before we should decide her coronation and marriage as soon as possible." Bai Zhu said,

"First of all, we have to talk to her boyfriend and inform him about our family," Bai Chen suggested.

"Didn't she tell that it is over between them, then why is he lurking around?" Bai Mo was infuriated, he disliked

"That's why I told you that we should talk to him," Bai Zhu repeated his line,

"Master Bai," One of the butlers knocked at the door, "Princess's friend is here to meet you,"

"Please come in,"

Tang Wei Sheng walked in with a proud face and greeted everyone.

"You might have met them earlier. This is princess's second uncle Bai Mo," Bai Qi introduced Bai Mo. He has seen Tang Wei Sheng quite a few times in Jing city however, it was the time that he met Tang Wei Sheng as his niece's boyfriend.

"Tang Wei Sheng," he introduced himself,

"You are someone who doesn't need any introductions, your name is all over in the news." Bai Mo said with an expressionless face,"Congratulations,"

"Thank you," Tang Wei Sheng replied and faced Bai Qi, "I wished to marry Li Juan,"

Tang Wei Sheng's statement didn't make any shock in them.

They were expecting that.

"You might've found that Li Juan is Bai Corporation's heiress," Bai Mo said with a condescending smile. 

"But the thing which I want you to know that Li Juan is the descendant of the Yu Clan." 

"I was part of the research team," Tang Wei Sheng retorted,

"As a person who took charge of finding Jade land, you should know that she is our Queen." 

"Yes,"

"We are planning to do the coronation as soon as possible. And her marriage too," Bai Qi declared.

"Before her accident, the princess has already told us that you two broke up.

She was ready to marry the man whom we choose. But things took a different turn when the princess lost her memories."

"Li Juan loves me." Tang Wei Sheng proclaimed with an aloof face,

"Yes, we know it." Bai Chen stopped for a moment and continued, 'We also know that you are engaged with the young miss of Ning family,"

"The engagement has been called off," Tang Wei Sheng had answers for every single question raised by Bai family. He came prepared, he knew that it won't be an easy task to discuss the marriage.

"She suffered a lot and we only want her to be happy and As per our rules princess will have suitors from suitable families,"

"She is my girlfriend," Tang Wei Sheng remained unwavering. 

"We won't do anything against her wish. We can guarantee you that, but the marriage will depend upon the princess's decision." Bai Qi assured him,

"Thank you, then I will take leave," Tang Wei Sheng affirmatively answered and left the room.

As soon as he left the room, he ran into Li Juan who was searching for him,

"Where were you? I was looking for you," She said with a smile,

"I just went to greet your grandfather." Tang Wei Sheng moved closer and cupped her cheeks,

"You look tired, did I tell you to not bother about all those things happened earlier?" He said in a chiding voice.

"I started reading books." Her eyes glittered, "It's fun,"

"Were you reading all night?" He asked with a doting smile,

"Grandpa said that the princess needed to know about the history of Yu palace before the coronation."

"Don't tire yourself,"

"I want to say the same thing to you," Li Juan's lips curled into a sulky expression, "Isn't it tiring to come here every now and then?"

"Why? you don't like me coming here?" He said with a pout.

"You already have a busy schedule and yet on your weekends you are coming here instead of resting,"

"Are you worried about my health, sweetheart?" Tang Wei Sheng leaned to grab her waist and pulled her towards him. "Then you should come and stay with me," he bent his head and tried to place a kiss on her lips.

Before his lips could touch her, she blocked his advances by placing her palm on his lips, "Not here,"

She glanced around, they were still in the palace. Even though they were alone in the corridor, someone might crash into them,

"Then where?" He asked with a sly smile,

"Not here," Li Juan repeated, "Let's go somewhere else,"

Tang Wei Sheng stared at her in disbelief,

"How about we go for a date?"

Li Juan was sitting in her balcony, looking at the moonlit sky.

"Do you have a moment, Lili?" A female voice rang in her room,

"Lili!"

Who calls her with that name in this place? Li Juan turned and looked at the woman who stood before her with a perplexed look. Most of the people in Yu palace call her by the title princess and no one addresses her by her own name. 

"I am Lin Li-Hui," she walked towards Li Juan, "I am your aunt,"

Li Juan smiled. 

"Aunty came to meet you in the hospital but you didn't recognize me,"

"I am sorry, aunt Lin," Li Juan apologized,

"No, no. It is alright, I see, you alright started reading history books," Lin Li-Hui touched the spine of the books that kept on the table. "Uncle Zhang said that you used to be an ardent reader,"

"Uncle Zhang, ahh, were you the one who brought me here?" Li Juan's eyes widened in curiosity,

"How did you find me, aunt Lin? Did I came looking for you or-"

"Oh, it was completely coincidental. You met uncle Zhang while working. Since you reminded him of our daughter, he invited you for a dinner at our home."

"So that's why how you recognized me?"

"Hmm, something similar, you saw a family photo in our place and were curious about the clan. Then you talked about your father and I found out that you are brother Ze's daughter,"

"And you took me here?" Li Juan was curious,

"Lili, my dear," Lin Li-Hui wanted to tell Li Juan the truth,

She clearly remembered Li Juan's hopeless situation, when she begged Lin Li-Hui to take her away from Tang Wei Sheng. Their relationship was turning into toxic and Li Juan wanted to break up.

How she is supposed to say that to the innocent girl standing in front of her. The man she kept her trust is the same person who hurt her and taking advantage of her current situation.

It will be shocking for her.

"Are you preparing for the coronation?" Lin Li- Hui tried to avoid the topic,

"Yes,"

"That's great news, however, everyone is excited about Queen's betrothal. Have you met your suitors? 

"Suitors?" Li Juan looked at her as if she doesn't know about it.

"Actually in our tradition, the partner for the queen is selected from eligible bachelors from the clan," Lin Li-Hui explained,

"But I already have a boyfriend… I guess you know about Wei Sheng get," Li Juan replied with an apologetic smile,

"I don't think it is good to meet other men since I already have someone,"

"Did you choose CEO Tang? Lin Li-Hui asked here panic-stricken voice. "Are you sure about it?"

Looking at her worried expression Li Juan was startled for a moment,

"Why? Is there anything wrong choosing him?"

"No," Lin Li- Hui tried to hide her flustered face. 

"Aunt Lin," Li Juan grasped Lin Li-Hui's palms. "Are you hiding anything from me?"

"No, nothing,"

"Aunty, I don't know whether you can relate to me, but losing memories is not a good thing." Li Juan's face had a bitter smile, "Especially when you wake up from a deep sleep and find out that I lost your mother and the man who broke your heart has become your boyfriend."

"Lili?" Lin Li-Hui called her name in shock, did she remember it now?

"Wei Sheng ge, back in high school I was crazily in love with him. I was happy when I found out he is my boyfriend. It felt like a dream come true. But aunt Lin, deep inside in my heart, there is a hesitation. I feel like I don't love him." Li Juan's voice had a desolate tone,

"Whenever he is with me, I feel something is amiss. He said that we were planning to live together, but I couldn't believe it. Even if I've lost my memories, my body must have accustomed to his touches, but whenever he touches me there is only an ominous feeling in my mind. It seems like a different person." She explained,

"Aunt Lin, if you know something please tell me. Even before I make some terrible mistakes, please help me,"

After hearing Li Juan's pleas Lin Li-Hui decided to tell her the truth.

"Both of you indeed loved each other. My husband was the one who accompanied CEO Tang to buy the ring. But your relationship had only a short life. Soon after he got engaged with another girl and you broke up with him. But he refused that and wanted to keep you with him."

Li Juan silently listened to her,

"When I met you for the first time. You have quit your research and was about to return to jing city. But CEO Tang didn't approve your decision and he came to our house and tried to take you. He convinced us that you have no one else than him and your health is deteriorating. He asked us to take care of you until he returns."

"Is that what happened?" Li Juan asked with dubious eyes, "But Wei Sheng ge never mentioned any of these to me. He said that I am the only woman in his life,"

"For him, that engagement was nothing but a business deal between two families. You are the only person whom he ever loved." Lin Li-Hui hesitated for a moment, "But Xiao Li, his blind love was turning toxic and you were suffering in it. As a mother and a woman, I felt bad for you and wanted to help you. When I realized that you are Bro Ze's daughter all I wanted was keeping you away from him. I believed that you will be safe and sound in Yu palace.

Lin Li-Hui pressed Li Juan's slender arm, her eyes have already turned moist, "We tried our best to keep you away from Tang Wei Sheng but you still ended up with him,"

"Thank you, aunt Lin," Li Juan said with a plain face. "Thanks for telling me the truth,"

Even after hearing the truth, she remained surprisingly calm,

"If you still love him, please talk to him and clear your misunderstandings," 

"Yes, I will do that," Li Juan assured her,

Suddenly a knock was heard,

"Princess, supervisor Meng brought your things," Ji Ya came with two bags. 

"Do you want to take a look?"

"Yes," Li Juan said,

"I will leave then," Lin Li-Hui said and left the room with a heavy heart,

Li Juan opened the bag and checked her belongings.

One bag was filled with her clothes and the other bag had her laptop.

All of her clothes were in simple designs and most of them were casual and comfortable clothes.

Ji Ya took a look at the clothes with a befuddled expression,

"Did you take these clothes again?"

She picked up a beige coloured trench coat and a white t-shirt.

"Huh," Li Juan looked at her in confusion,"

"Ah, I forgot." Ji Ya smiled and continued, "You like to use your favourite things again and again."

"Aye, really I said like that? You guys should have seen me as a dumb person,"

"You said that these were gifts from your friends, so whenever you wear it. It will make you remember them,"

"You loved your friends. Especially that doctor,"

"Doctor?"

"He used to come here often,"

Li Juan took the laptop and a journal from the other bag.

Li Juan tried to switch on the laptop and found out it was locked by a password.

She opened the diary and it was Li Juan's journals. 

It wasn't anything like detailed journals about her daily life, but it was more like remember notes about the main incidents that happened in her life
