Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

#69 - Open a chapter to explain

Many people dislike the characters Yang and Li, and have voiced various opinions and dissatisfaction with my writing.

In a way, I'd say I've succeeded.

Because these two characters were intentionally created to be unlikeable.

But to say they are villains, I don't think they quite qualify.

So far in this story, the only true, absolute villains are the extreme environment, the Frost Beasts, and the Anomalies. I believe that's clear.

From Yang and Li's perspective, their goal is undoubtedly the treasure on the Wood Puppet Anomaly, but it's also a fact that they helped.

Moreover, from the beginning, I mentioned in a reply that there's a severe disconnect between Yang and Li and the humans around Redwood Ridge, including the protagonist, due to their different perspectives, so they can't understand each other.

Although I didn't explain it clearly, you, as seasoned readers, should be able to see it.

It's just that the prevalent black-and-white worldview in many long-term novels has influenced some people.

I'll just say this: people are complex creatures. I don't want to simply create a villain and have the protagonist kill them. I think that's not only unsatisfying but also an insult to myself and the readers.

I may have various problems such as insufficient writing skills, flawed logic, incorrect data, and so on.

But I can guarantee my sincerity in putting my heart into shaping each character.

Also, let me say that some people have guessed the later plot, but all the guesses so far are wrong, hahaha.

The following is constantly increasing, and I will continue to work hard. Thank you all!!!
