It's time to go back to the drawing board
In order to prevent "too long to read", I specifically put the key points at the front.
This is not a "major revision escape", nor is it a eunuch notice. Before completing the major revision of the previous part, I will continue to update.
Yesterday, I finally finished the lengthy second volume. The plot of this second volume has been delayed again and again, and I have stuffed a lot of slightly redundant things into it. Anyway, I have completed the Xinyue chapter/college chapter. According to the plan, it should be the third volume, the Shenjing chapter/research institute chapter.
But now I have to say sorry.
My humble work has been serialized for more than 500,000 words. I am actually very surprised to receive so many support from book friends. If I can keep writing at this pace, I think I can rise, right? But now I want to be willful and re-refined the previous content.
I wanted to make a major revision of the previous content a long time ago. It was about the 130th chapter, and the pace of updating was temporarily slowed down, that is, when the "heart demon" thing was shaken out.
I regretted it when I finished writing it at that time-how could I write such a thing? This is obviously a huge failure, and it doesn't fit the whole story!
Then, I said in my book friends group that this is a failure, and I don't like it myself.
Several book friends agreed unanimously. Yes, yes, this is really not good.
Then I had this idea.
I personally don't like this setting very much, so why did I come up with such a forced shit?
When this work was conceived and outlined, my grandfather just passed away.
Maybe I was too empathetic and completely regarded Wang Qi as a projection of myself in reality. The person who became fragile due to the loss of his relatives is not the protagonist in my work, but me.
I was raised by my grandfather, so I have a good relationship with my grandfather. But when my grandfather was seriously ill, I was preparing for a more important exam and was unable to accompany my grandfather. Each time we met, we only met for a few hours. This is the biggest regret of my life.
During the days after my grandfather died, I stayed in my room alone, thinking about nothing, reading books and watching animations, like a real waste, and naturally failed that exam. Then, I entered a low period.
It was during this period that I started writing this book. Then, the protagonist was too deeply influenced by me.
When I got out of the low tide, I couldn't adapt to this character.
What kind of person is Wang Qi? He is a seeker of truth, which is the ideal scientist in my mind.
He is like von Neumann, who knows everything.
He is as outspoken and wild as Pauli.
He is as happy as Feynman, who thinks of one thing and loves to die.
Of course, it would be best if he could be as popular with girls as Schrödinger.
Then... I couldn't connect the poor kid I was writing about with the ideal seeker of truth in the original setting.
I felt like I couldn't go on. So, I decided to start over.
After I had this idea, I read the previous ones again and found that they were not interesting at all.
First of all, this is my first book, so I don't know how to pace myself.
The plot of the second volume was too long, and there were too many irrelevant plots, which drowned out the real main line and foreshadowing. To make matters worse, after my computer was rebuilt two months ago, all my drafts and detailed outlines disappeared, and I lost control of the novel. The plot of the second volume also became a mess.
In addition, the characterization of the protagonist was not successful. From the name of the protagonist, you can probably tell what kind of painting style I like. However, I paid too much attention to this style and overlooked the most important and more important point.
Wang Qi is a scientist. Then, scientists are sometimes very close to being crazy, but they are definitely not chaotic.
Unfortunately, this protagonist did not show the qualities of a scientist at all. According to the original setting, he did become a crazy person for a few years because of the collapse of his worldview due to traveling through time, but he should have found his own qualities when he realized his mind. However, his learning here and there seems to be strong, but there is no system, which is not what scientists do. Correspondingly, there is also a lack of excitement - at least for me.
However, losing the detailed outline and returning to the original setting is probably also an opportunity for me, an opportunity to start over.
While continuing to update the work, I will also rewrite the previous content. When the rewrite is completed, I will republish the book.
However, the recent updates may not be very stable, and the character settings will also shift towards the new settings. The new version of Wang Qi will eliminate the setting of abusing the main character, and will be slightly closer to Feynman and Pauli.
Let the child who regrets his family all his life live in my network disk.
Finally - it’s all in vain for your rewards.
