Enter, The Walking Dead

Chapter 8 - The beginning of the end

It's now the 25th of September, several days in to the planned concert, and I have been enjoying myself immensely, getting to know some of the singers, actresses and other people that come to events such as this.

Among some of the people I met were Kate Beckinsale, Angelina Jolie, Olivia Munn, Amber Heard, Eliza Dushku, Hayden Panettiere, Kristin Kreuk, Kristen Stewart, Natalie Portman, Gal Gadot Elizabeth Olsen and the most awesome, Scarlett Johansson. Those are just to name a few of the hundreds of people that I invited that RSVP'd and showed up.

By this point I was even beginning to wonder if I miscalculated my timing for the event but that was for not. Everything was going well until yesterday, as that is when the shit decided to start ever so slowly.

At 6P.M. Local time as the last few bands were preparing to go through their routines, I got word that security has begun to lock down the centre(Cobb energy performing arts centre)

People were beginning to become nervous as they could hear gunshots outside of the centre since there was a quiet few minutes as bands began to switch out. I signaled security to stop the next group from going on stage as it seems I would need to try to keep people calm somehow.

I gave my instructions through my ear piece to my security and the others that were attached to my details. 'Spread out and make sure the building is secure and locked down, you may allow people in the lobby but they are to be kept in quarantine until it's obvious or not they are infected. Do not allow them to touch you under any circumstance.

Some people were not really that far from me as I was sitting in a box with 8 other people. They were looking at me in concern at the moment, knowing whatever was going on most likely wasn't good for their health. I thought for a few moments on what to do and instead of making any complicated decisions or speeches I simply decided to put what my security was seeing on the main screen, through their glasses with attached cameras. An image was worth a thousand words but a live video was worth so much more.

I decided to talk to the women with me and see what they thought. "Well this day kinda went to shit I think. What do you all think about this? This is feed directly from my security in the lobby of this building." They just paled at my statement. I mean what can you say when you see hundreds if not thousands of people running around and people trying to eat other people?

They kinda had the WTF looks on their faces but what could you really expect having something like this dumped on them all of the sudden. I and most my security had weeks or months to prepare ourselves mentally. Even I was kinda horrified at the slaughter going on around us but there was only so much we could do.

Eventually Scarlett spoke up, still looking scared though. "What do we do? What exactly is going on? Are we really secure right now?" The others just looked kinda hopeful that I would say yes to that last one, I think anyways. "We are fine for now" I admitted easily. "Over the last day or two there has been massive unrest and horrible things going on in surrounding states and areas. It's why everyone had security details when they left the hotels for dinner at restaurants or whatnot. I increased the security here yesterday as well as having heavier weapons brought in. I don't know if you know this or not but my brother runs a security group for me with over 600 operatives, over 250 are currently in this building not including extra hires that were hired a week ago. That gives us about 400 armed men and women, so I think we will be fine for now." Unbeknownst to me, the recording of that conversation also went out on the main screen. I was too busy to notice as I was surrounded by pretty girls.

Soon after the head of my security detail entered our box and escorted me (with the girls following like ducklings) to the main lobby that my men have locked down. What we saw, to say the least, was a mess.

People were laying in small groups in the lobby, people brought from outside, running from monsters. Most of them looked unharmed but a few looked questionable as they had blood on themselves and so such. They were segregated even from the others but most people were sitting down along the walls. Under my security's watchful eyes. They already had to put down dozens of zombies that were chasing people to this building so everyone knew they were competent shots.
