Evelina and the Ruby Castle

16 The Other Mysterious Man

It was a beautiful sunny morning in the Kingdom of Ruby. The wind blew like a beautiful sound of music that embraces the soul of people. It was a beautiful day, a beautiful life. A perfect time for everyone to joyously celebrate a significant event.

Alexander woke up earlier than Evelina. He woke up at 3:00 dawn. He informed his employees beforehand that there would be another amazing event.

"Everyone, you know what to do! Quick, do the arrangements, " Alexander was back in track, commanding his employees what to do in preparation for the wedding. He was a detailed oriented type of person; he didn't wish for seeing flaws and errors in the work especially, for the wedding for his dear Evelina and him. 'Evelina, finally you'll be mine'

Alexi intruded Alexander in the middle of his preparations for the wedding. Alexi waved at Alexander, signaling him to come near him, "Hey, Alexander, don't you think you're in a rush?"

"No. Why do you say so?" He looked at him, sensing a strange feeling

Alexi looked around and whispered, "Let's go to a place where no one can hear us, "

Alexander nodded, "En, " he took him to the rooftop. He first examined the surrounding. "All clear. The scene is safe, "

The building itself was not highly equipped with new technology so, anyone could hear their conversation if there were people spying them secretly from afar. Alexander was not new to this. He wasn't the General of the Air Force for nothing. There were millions of threats in their kingdom. A duffle bag that descended from the sky? He knew it was a trick of the enemies, luring their citizens out for jewels. Their kingdom was blessed with citizens who willingly commit and follow the government. Their citizens were informed beforehand not to retrieve anything that was left behind. They only needed to take a photo of it and send it to the police officer, stating the address of the item and

"Does she know that there's actually the two of you?"

Hearing his question, Alexander was starting to feel uneasy, making the atmosphere turned cold. "I don't know who that other person is. Who has been using my face, name, and even authority!"

Alexi patted his back for him to calm down. He sighed, "That man has been using dark magic. He is a dangerous man. Be cautious around people. He disguises himself as another person. Hence, he is a bad man and something that should be taken care of,"

Alexander exhaled deeply, "What should we do? This guy is using dark magic! Even though we have these state-of-the-art technologies, if he has power beyond that, then he is really an obstinate person," he felt like the problem was not that simple to overcome. It was like he was suddenly hit by a missile.

Alexi was clicking his tongue, showing his dismay, "Don't worry, I will definitely give assistance," he paused, thinking of something, "Alexander, do you think there's nothing wrong with your employees? There's always a traitor in a group. Don't act so carefree it might lead you to danger in the future. Now, all of your employees are well aware that Evelina is one of your feebleness. There might be a time in the future that they would use her as a threat," said in a serious-minded tone.

"I know. Good thing I didn't bring anything special except the ring,"

"What?! A ring? Alexander, have you ever left it somewhere?"

"No. Back when I still didn't regain my memories with Evelina, I suddenly thought of buying a ring. My parents have always told me not to leave a ring behind because it's bad luck,"

"I'm serious, Alexander. Tell me, have you ever left it in your room or in your office? Have you recalled something?" he asked, unveiling his tenseness. The look of his face radiated that he was extremely worried about this matter.

In a moment, he recalled something. He remembered that he left the ring on his bed.

He nodded, "Yes, I do recall it. There was once that I left it on the bed,"

"You imbecile child! Why did you leave it behind?"

"It was in my own house!"

"Really? Then, what makes you confident that it didn't contain any suspicious things?"

"I'm living all by myself! My house is fully furnished with high technology and safety security. No one can enter my house without my permission,"

"So… are you saying that there's no one in your house? There's no person at that time?"

"There were no people at that time. Well, I'm going to investigate this matter,"

"How about the wedding? There are thirty people with you. Don't you think that you should have a simple wedding, just the two of you??"

"Yes, I've been thinking of that for some time. On the contrary, I want to bring her the best wedding. She's special to me,"

Alexi placed his palm on his forehead, showing his distress, "I understand you, Alexander but please reconsider the safeness of your bride," he patted his shoulder, "You can hold a wedding ceremony again in the future when everything is alright,"

Alexander pondered in a moment, "Well, I know that it's difficult but I will consider your advice,"

"Don't you dare tell this to anyone except Evelina," he added, "Don't inform your colleagues regarding this matter. Don't form any close relationship with them, because if you trust them too much, they might take advantage of it and take you for granted,"

"I know that, Alexi. You can rest assured that Evelina and I are going to get a good deal," he hugged him in the form of a man hug.

He sighed in relief, "That's great to hear from you,". He was honestly concerned with the situation of both Evelina and Alexander.

Meanwhile…

Evelina just woke up in her beauty sleep. It was already 10:00 in the morning. She was thinking of the big day ahead of her. She turned to her right side and saw that Alexander was already gone. 'He must be busy preparing for the wedding' she got up and ready herself for the big day.

She was looking for Alexander. He was nowhere to be found. She was worried, her eyes started to slant down because of her sudden uneasiness. She later saw Alexander and Alexi entered the room. It seemed that they just came from the outside for a little conversation.

Alexander then noticed Evelina, she was on her beautiful and elegant floral vintage midi evening dress. The black-colored midi evening dress that was embellished with white rose patterns were magnificent. The form-fitting dress that put emphasis on her narrow perfect waist completed her tall figure, making her look gorgeous, elegant, and sexy like a model. Her straight jet-black hair was perfectly positioned on her back. She didn't tie her hair up and simply upheld a confidently beautiful with a tinge of simplicity look. Her sophisticated look made everyone in the room in awe and enchantment.

"Alexanderrr!!" she ran to embrace Alexander.

Everyone left the couple for some private time. They didn't dare to disturb the loving and serene couple. They didn't want to contract diabetes just because of their bombarding of dog food.

Alexander kissed her forehead, "Good morning, my dear, Evelina," his voice was warm and gentle, making her giggle in excitement.

Evelina looked up to him and tiptoed to give him a long kiss on his lips. There was no pressure, simply love and passion, longing, and yearning for each other's warmth.

Their kiss ended when Evelina signaled him to stop.

"Alexander, why are you leaving me again? Huh?"

He chuckled softly, "You were sleeping safe and sound that I never had the urge to wake you up," he poked her nose, "I'd like to see more of you in the future,"

Evelina chortled, "I also want that of you. Indeed, you are heightening my interest as the day goes by," she pinched his cheeks, "You are so cute! By the way, were you able to sleep peacefully last night?" she asked, wondering why he was up too early. She was usually awake at 10:00 in the morning. She felt concerned about him; she wanted him to get some sufficient sleep.

He glanced at his right side, not looking directly at her eyes, "Yes, I was able to sleep well last night," actually, he was not able to sleep well last night because of her. she was dominating the whole king-size bed all by herself. She occupied such a big space and would sometimes push him away from the bed.

"I want the truth! I'm talking seriously, Alexander!"

"You just occupied a huge space of the bed like it was only you sleeping on the bed," Alexander poked her forehead, making her awake from her daydreaming.

"Really?"

"Yes,"

"I apologize for my rude behavior," she said with her puppy eyes.

"Alright, then. Apology accepted," he paused, remembering his conversation with Alexi and uttered, "Evelina, I have something to tell you,"

"What is it?"

"Let's discuss it somewhere. Come, I'll take you to a place there's only the two of us,"

Alexander turned on the ignition. He drove the car smoothly and with grace. He was running it with a normal speed, afraid of danger, accidents that would hurt Evelina.

"Evelina, do you mind if we'll have a wedding twice?"

"Of course! I love those. I've been reading novels and I would love to experience those!"

"Evelina, today, let's secretly get married,"

"Why? Why are you not inviting your employees?"

Alexander told her his conversation with Alexi and told her that there was another mysterious man that looked like him and told her to be careful in her surroundings.

"Evelina, be careful! Don't trust other people too much! Don't let your guard down! If someone would come near you that looks like me, observe his actions if it is really me! You know me very well, Evelina,"
