Fair Trade

Chapter 2.1

The man was excited.

He had been a traveler on the DE:A’s cruise lines for four years now. The pool was always overflowing with beauties, and the high-end service had always satisfied him.

However, Michael Dylan had never imagined that he would get so excited because of a crew member, who was currently only clad in a beautiful bikini in the other room.

Light brown eyes paired with reddish-brown hair. And a smile that looked innocent but was full of vibrance.

He wiped the soap lather onto his excited body, recalling the conversation with the woman. Even though they had yet to share a proper kiss, his lower body expanded to the limit so much so that he wanted to embrace the woman right away.

Did she say her name was Diana Olsen?

The man wrapped a towel around his waist and pushed open the bathroom door. His face was flushed with excitement. The lavish inside of the luxurious suite room, which ordinary people could only dream of, along with the view of the vast ocean and the azure sky unfolded like a panorama.

But in an instant, the man’s smiling face stiffened and the towel slowly slipped down.

There was no one in the bed. He couldn’t see the woman who should have been lying on the bed half-disoriented under the influence of drugs.

“No way…”

Didn’t the woman drink quite a bit of that champagne?

He had put a small amount of ecstasy in the two glasses of champagne he had given her. The man, who was staring blankly at the empty bed, began to search his room frantically as if he had a foreboding feeling of some sort.

“Damn it! No way!”

She was a woman with clear, pearly white skin without any blemishes and had a sweet scent all over her silky soft body. When she staggered and touched his chest, he was bewitched by her terribly beautiful appearance.

“FUCK!”

The man who entered his dressing room slammed the wall while spitting out harsh profanities.

Waiting there for him was a desolate and empty safe. All that was left was a few meager hundred dollars of cash and his passport.

Michael grabbed his head and screamed like a crazed person.

“Diana Olsen!”

They were on the open sea. No matter how that woman managed to fly and crawl, as long as she was a human, she couldn’t have escaped from this ship yet. The man, who was picking up the phone to call the security, found a $2 bill and a note next to it.

{Compared to the ten million dollars you illegally embezzled, I don’t think this is even worth the price of a meal. Isn’t it Mr. Michael Dylan? Thank you for making such a big donation to the less fortunate around you. I will surely never forget your generosity for the rest of my life. You’re so fabulous.♡

P.S. Ah! Motor Bank is not quite secure, so I recommend moving your bank account to the Swiss bank. And even if you’re a CFO of Barbarian Corporation, you should save some face. Only $10 million, really?! Next time, I hope there will be a bigger amount.♡}

Michael dropped the receiver he was holding. Dark brown eyes quivered wildly. The excitement which had made his whole body taut vanished instantly and was now replaced by extreme anxiety. No one knew that he had embezzled his company’s money. At least, no one on this ship knew.

Unable to contain his rage, his body was shaking and he eventually threw the phone in front of him. The mermaid-shaped object shattered and its fragments scattered all over the floor.

He was furious, but there was nothing he could do. Yeah… he only lost half a million dollars. Besides, wasn’t this money something he kept aside to spend on this trip?

If he could steal $10 million, then losing $500,000 wasn’t too much of a big loss. He tried to control his rising anger through rationalization. However, the anger from the fact that he was beaten by a little bitch didn’t subside easily.

Mr. Dylan, who clenched his fist to the point that his blood couldn’t circulate, gritted his teeth, telling himself that he would definitely not let her get away with this.

“Damn it!”

Back in the room, Sei took off her wig and threw it into the trash can. Then she moved her stiff neck from side to side, relaxed, and then laid down on the bed.

It had been quite a fantastic day as her pockets were filled to the brim. This season’s clients turned out to be quite generous. All she had done up until now were only the basics and yet a lot of people had fallen for it.

She rolled around on the bed, laughing out loud. The dazzling dollar bills which slipped out of her pockets with her every movement were scattered on the bed. With this amount of money, she could comfortably enjoy the rest of her schedule.

She stood up from the bed and then took off her contact lenses and uniform. After smashing the name tag of Diana Olsen into pieces, she placed it under a candle. Under the heat of the candle, it slowly lost its shape and melted away.

Wearing a modest gown, she tied her hair up and unfolded her working table. Then she placed the stolen goods that she had worked hard to procure for the last two days on the velvet fabric.

From diamond set watches to various expensive jewelry, everything was put up on the table. Wearing a loupe, Sei crouched down and curled up her body in a position of prayer with her hands together.

“I’m sorry, guys. I don’t want to do this, but… what can I do? Your worth is too high.”

She shook her head, turned on the desk lamp, and then took out the tools she had hidden. Her expression quickly turned serious. She dismantled the super alloy-finished watch to separate the diamonds, rose gold, and pure gold and a diamond necklace of at least five carats into its gemstone state.

Sei gave a deep sigh. No matter how regrettable it was, she couldn’t leave them in their original state. Some of the people whom she had stolen from would have already reported the theft so she disassembled and reassembled the goods without any hesitation.

The work was completed by the time profuse beads of sweat trickled down to her chin. The deftly moving hands stopped and the corners of her mouth lifted up in a proud smile.

“Done!”

After putting the finished pieces into her vault, Sei went to the Terrace and hurled the remaining parts into the sea.
