Fairy Tail: The Three Sacred Magic
Chapter 174
In the silent night, Lucy and Hal stood at the edge of the arena. In the distant sky, a huge silver moon hung high in the night sky.
Tears slid down Lucy's cheeks. She didn't know the man in front of her, and she was afraid to know him.
As long as he was there, even in this world that had never experienced the attack of the doomsday dragon group, even if the familiar companions were still alive, Lucy's body still trembled involuntarily.
She wiped away her tears with force. The courage and optimism in her heart to face everything gave her courage to turn her head slowly.
Hal's eyes were deep, staring at her familiar yet unfamiliar figure, with complex emotions surging in his heart.
He asked softly, "Do you... recognize me?"
"No," Lucy's voice was low and cold, but the confusion in her eyes could not be concealed, "There is no you in my world, Hal Michidoya Saint."
"Who are you? Why is this world completely different from the past I remember?" Her voice began to tremble, and her tone was full of uncontrollable fear and loss.
"Natsu... Gray... and the president, they have all become so strange... Everything seems familiar, but it's as far away as another world.
I... opened the door, what is it for? Why am I still alive, but everyone is dead? I can't do anything..." At the end, Lucy's voice almost collapsed, as if all the pain and helplessness broke out at this moment.
Hal frowned slightly, and a feeling of heartache and helplessness surged in his heart.
He listened quietly until she finished speaking, and then he spoke softly: "You came to save, and I can help you."
Lucy's breathing stagnated, and the expression on her face froze instantly. She looked at Hal in shock, not understanding why he said that.
"You don't know me well enough," Hal's voice was low and firm, "but I know you. Open the eclipse gate again and let me save them."
Lucy was stunned. Hal's eyes were gentle and firm, with an irresistible power.
She saw a long-lost sense of familiarity in his eyes.
That was... the eyes of the Fairy Tail wizard, the eyes of a family member.
"Impossible..." She murmured, and her inner defenses gradually collapsed.
Why did this strange man in front of her give her such a familiar feeling?
Hal didn't say anything more, but walked towards Lucy quietly. His movements were gentle but firm, as if he was afraid of disturbing her fragile heart.
He hugged her gently, his voice low and warm: "It's uneasy, returning to a past that is unfamiliar to you."
Lucy was embraced in his arms, and she seemed to be able to smell the breath of her companions in her nose. The figure of Natsu who had bravely moved forward in the flames appeared in her mind.
Tears welled up in her eyes again, with unspeakable pain and longing.
"Natsu... he died... right beside me, but I couldn't do anything... when I opened my eyes again, I was the only one alive in the whole of Crocus..." Her voice was broken by sobs, and pain surged like a tide, "I don't know what to do, I just instinctively thought of that door..."
Haru listened silently, and sadness surged in his heart.
He gently raised his right hand, and a soft green light emanated from his palm, and the light wrapped around Lucy's right shoulder like a trickle.
"It's not your fault," his voice was as gentle as a breeze, "Your adventure is not over yet, let me help you return to the world you are familiar with."
The green light was like the warm sun in spring, slowly healing Lucy's pain.
She looked at her gradually recovering right hand in surprise, and murmured in disbelief: "My right hand... is recovered?"
As the last ray of light emerged, the lost guild emblem also quietly appeared on the back of her right hand, shining with a familiar glow.
Lucy was stunned, and tears blurred her vision again.
She gently stroked the long-lost emblem, which was her belief and her home. What she had lost was now back to her.
"How did you do it?" She looked up at Hal, her eyes full of surprise and gratitude.
Hal smiled slightly, with a bit of pride and tenderness in his eyes: "I am the fourth-generation president of Fairy Tail. This little thing is certainly not difficult for me."
Lucy looked at him, and the last trace of uneasiness and doubt in her heart finally dissipated like morning mist.
She felt his invisible warmth, as if this smile could dispel the haze in her heart.
After hesitating for a moment, she slowly reached out and gently hugged him, her voice a little choked: "Hal... help me."
Hal closed his eyes and patted her back gently, with a touch of emotion in his tone: "Ah... I wish for it!"
