Fairy’s Box
Chapter 451: Miner Goblin
Inside the semi-circular white balcony, the Count and Mrs. prospective sat opposite each other on two folding chairs. The afterglow of the setting sun slanted over the parasols, dyeing the white ground pale red.
Charlene was carrying a white porcelain teapot and was pouring clear tea into a glass cup. She was wearing a white silver-trimmed training suit, long-sleeved trousers, and her green hair was flying in the wind.
Yalei leaned against the back of the chair lazily, squinting at the sky full of red clouds, listening to the soft sound of his lover pouring tea, he fell asleep comfortably.
"This is the tea I specially asked them to brew with flower dew, and have a taste." She filled the glass cup with seven points and gently pushed it to the vicinity of the black-haired knight.
"let me try."
He cheered up, got up and picked up the glass cup from the coffee table, took a sip, his nose filled with a refreshing fragrance.
Yale shook the light green tea in his hand and took a sip. After a few seconds, he narrowed his eyes with enjoyment: "Delicious."
"What would you like to eat tonight?"
Charlene looked at him with her cheeks raised, her green eyes filled with a smile.
"Applesauce Rabbit Soup."
The black-haired knight opened his eyes and said solemnly.
"Do it yourself!"
The green-haired girl puffed up her pretty face in anger, snatched the teacup from his hand in anger, and shouted viciously, "Don't drink it! You have to cook it with yourself!"
"Okay, I was wrong, give me the cup back." He panicked and quickly begged for mercy.
"It's all said to cook by yourself!" Miss Charlene was very angry, and the consequences were serious.
The two were arguing when a porcelain cup suddenly floated up on the coffee table and was buckled upside down on the smooth table top, and a crisp collision sounded into their ears.
"Goblin?" Yale turned his attention to the porcelain cup on the table.
The porcelain cup was suspended out of thin air and put back on the table firmly, revealing a palm-sized humanoid goblin. Its skin was green like a tender leaf, it had a gray beard, and a hammer was pinned to its waist. It looks like an old man in his sixtieth year.
"Forgive me, Lord Earl." It bowed to Yale, then walked to Charlene, held up her slender fingers that seemed to be carved from white jade, and kissed lightly:
"And the beautiful lady."
"Are you a miner goblin?" The black-haired knight recognized its kind.
"Yes, on behalf of my tribe, I'm here to meet the new owner of this land. I hope you can give us shelter and peace." The miner goblin looked at him sincerely, with a kind of expectation in his voice.
"You live in Glamorgan? Why haven't I seen you." The green-haired girl put down the glass cup she grabbed and asked with great interest.
"We thought that the Count this time would be the same as before, falling on this cursed land until you defeated our enemy and made me and my people realize your power." It Respectfully narrated.
"Enemies? Albert? Dryad? Or Gorevis?"
"It was Gorivis, my lord, we tried every means and sacrificed many of his kind to lock him in the gap between time and space,"
The miner goblin showed a sad look, then changed his voice, and said excitedly: "But you easily defeated and sealed him, showing the power you should have as a lord."
"How did you know about this?" Yale suspiciously glanced at Sebastian on the stone pillar, and the latter hurriedly screamed and explained:
"The most respected master, I definitely didn't talk nonsense!"
"This is what the wooden puppet told us." The goblin said blankly.
"Wooden puppets? Those corpses wrapped in mummies? You dare to kill people?" The black-haired knight suddenly widened his eyes, his pupils revealed a murderous intent, and his expression became cold.
"Lord Count, they are not human beings, they are just corpses from another world. They originated from a large tomb we dug from the ground and have been dead for hundreds of years." The miner goblin quickly explained.
According to the rules of the golden edict, it is a capital crime for goblins and humans to kill either party. If they carry this crime, the best outcome is the exile of the whole family.
"It doesn't matter." Yale's expression returned to calm, no wonder those weirdos felt abruptly to him, it turned out to be the corpse of another world.
"So, it's all your credit that Death Spring is so peaceful?" Charlene approached the goblin and looked at it with a smile.
"We're just protecting our homeland." Seeing that the black-haired knight was no longer angry, the miner goblin heaved a long sigh of relief.
"Home? Where is your home?" he asked.
"In the northwest of the Earl's Palace, near the Nightmare Ruins, there is a hidden mine, which is our home. My family and I hope to be protected by the Earl." It showed an eager look.
"Of course I will protect you, but only if you fulfill the obligations of your subjects." Yale calmly reached out and grabbed the teacup and held it in his hand again.
"We will pay taxes, how much tax do you need to collect?" The miner goblins felt relieved. The tribe was never short of money, because they lived in mines and often found gems and crystals.
"I don't need you to pay taxes. I need you to help me build this city. If you and your clansmen are willing to contribute, then you can get my shelter and goodwill."
Yale is well aware of the characteristics of this kind of goblin. They are good at digging and building, and their craftsmanship is comparable to that of the most skilled craftsmen of human beings.
"Of course, I think they will be more than happy to serve you."
The miner goblins don't dislike this condition at all. Building is their fun, and it's the best thing to be able to gain peace and tranquility.
"Then you can tell me now, what is threatening your safety, I have already destroyed Gorevis... Could it be a nightmare?" Yale's expression became serious, and he calmly looked at the goblin on the coffee table .
"Just so, the power of the Nightmare keeps us restless day and night. This curse is spreading south from the Nightmare ruins in the north. If it is not stopped, our homeland will be reduced to ruins."
The miner goblin looked terrified and looked at them pleadingly: "We can only fight against Gorevis with all our strength, the power of the nightmare is even greater than it, no one can save me except you, the Count. home."
"Understood, don't worry, Nightmare is also a big threat to my territory, I will never let it go. Now you have to tell the information about Nightmare so that I can destroy it."
