Falling In Love With A Broken Hearted Man

"Can I just stay here? I suddenly missed you.."

I froze when Jacob wrapped his arms around me, embracing me like we haven't seen each other for a long time.

Seriously? What's his problem?

I was going to let go but he seemed to hug me tighter and I can't even had the urge to let go of his hug.

"A-are you okay?" I asked, getting worried with his sudden action.

"Can I kiss you Raine?"

My eyes widened to what he said. What kind of question is that? And why would he kiss me? Does he like me?

"I wanted to be your first kiss even if it's just a friendly kiss... I've heard that you haven't had any boyfriend before.." He seemed serious about asking it, I feel like my tongue got stuck on my mouth. I can't speak..

And my heart races very fast as he let go of the hug and he slowly placed his hands around my cheeks, ready to kiss me..

Oh god. What am I gonna do now? Should I let him?

I'm so confused why is he suddenly requesting this! Even if it's just a friendly kiss, I don't know if that really exist! Am I wrong? Was there as such friends kissing each other?

I gripped his hands, I wanted to avoid the kiss but I'm too weak to push him away. I was supposed to cut it but my hands are fucking ruining it.

I keep swallowing as his face slowly moved towards me, I don't know but there's a bit odd with the way he stared at me. It's like he's in pain but I'm not sure if this is really what he feels.

I just closed my eyes as my heart keeps beating so goddamn fast. I don't know why I feel this towards him, I'll just ignore it and pretend that it doesn't bother me.

"FUCK OFF, MAN!"

I heard Noah's voice clearly shouting in front of us. My eyes slowly become bigger as I watched him grabbing Jacob's collar.

The look in his eyes were dangerous like he's going to kill Jacob anytime. This is the first time for a long time that I saw him fuming mad again and it's so scary!

"Oh my god, Noah. No! Please!"

I immediately come between them, I grabbed Noah's hands pulling it away from Jacob's collar. The flare in Jacob's face is making me worried. Oh god! He might kill him for choking him like this!

"Noah! You'll gonna kill him!" I shouted in anger.

But he seemed like he didn't hear me. He's still grabbing his collar like a dangerous man. Noah's taller than Jacob and his body was more firm than him, his muscles are now showing while holding him an evident that he's using too much strength right now!

"How dare you kiss her, you asshole! I'll fucking destroy your face!"

"NOAH!" He's about to punch him but when he heard me, he immediately stopped.

He seemed like he doesn't know what he's doing earlier, that he was consumed with his anger enough to hurt Jacob who doesn't even know him.

He immediately let go of his gripped on Jacob, realizing how dangerous it is. He might kill him on that state!

"Fuck!" Jacob gasped holding his neck while his face turned red.

"Are you okay?" I immediately grabbed his shoulder to support his weight.

He must be shocked with what happened and why Noah did that to him. Oh god.

"Raine.." Noah muttered in a weak voice.

"You almost killed him for fuck's sake Noah!"

I was flaring mad as I turned my gaze at him. Jacob was also coughing beside me while still holding his neck.

"I-I'm sorry.."

"Look at his neck! You don't even know if you've cut any veins in there! There are few arteries on a person's neck Noah, he might get killed for what you did!"

"I-I'm f-fine.." Jacob's still coughing as he tried to speak. I'm so freakin' worried! I wanted to smack Noah's face!

"What's happening here?" I heard Harry shouted while his eyes focused on Jacob's neck.

The fingers of Noah had marked on it and it's so obvious right now!

"Dude! Who did that to you?!" Harry and Marco immediately go to him and guide him through their shoulders.

"Noah?"

I bit my lower lip as Gia recognized Noah. He brows furrowed as she tilted her head towards Jacob and then to me. Everyone was now looking at us with those confused look.

"What are you doing here?" Jessy was the one who asked. She looked angry right now.

"Raine, what happened?" Sam whispered to me, she's also clueless with what happened.

"I'll explain to you later, for now. Let's get Jacob treated at the cabin," I looked away, getting more worried about Jacob's condition.

They don't have any choice but to go with me and ignore what happened first. Jacob's health will be my top priority right now. I'm going to blame myself if something happens to him.

"Let's talk later," I said to Noah before turning my back at him.

I need to tell him to stay away from me now. He's just always causing a trouble to me and now he's even hurting my friend. I'm not gonna let that happen again.

"Can I asked you a question first before we get out of here, Raine?" I was surprised when Jacob's grabbed my hand while struggling with his neck.

I don't know but I suddenly felt like the fast heart beat inside my chest has doubled.

When I turned to my friends they're just looking away, giving us the privilege to talk. I never imagined that we're gonna end up like this. That the outing that we planned was just ruined because of me..

I gave him a nod and hear what he's going to ask.

"What's your relationship with him?"

I'm not surprised with it anymore. I know what he's going to asked that since Noah's too obvious that he has to hurt him and he almost killed him.

But now that Jacob was asking it, I feel like my body has weakened. My ability to speak was now gone.. I was like a mute person that can't even find her voice to speak. Damn it.

When I looked at Noah, he's already staring at me right now. I can see some mixed emotions in his eyes. Those emotions that I can't even detect what's the meaning of it.

"H-he's.." I stared at Noah too, waiting for his reaction. "He's my ex.."

After that, I turned to Jacob. Gritting my teeth in so much emotions. I feel like I was cheating that was caught in the act right now!

I grabbed the hem of my shirt as I waited for his reaction. But his face just went black, poking the side of his cheek exposing the sharp jawline of his.

He closed his eyes as I saw how his fist formed into a ball. I know he's mad if he's like this. I'm getting worried now.

"T-that explains everything.." His dark expression turned to Noah who's now looking at me with those painful gaze.

We stared at each other for how many seconds, I was longing for his stares before but now.. I don't feel anything..

Did I already moved on?

"Let's go." Jacob says which made me looked away with those intimidating stares of him.

I was the one who cut the tension between us and started to walk away from him. I believed that this will end everything tonight. I'm going to finally say goodbye to him..

I don't care if he doesn't apologized to me anymore, what's matter now is that fact that we're not going to see each other anymore.

No one has tried to speak among us as we walk towards the cabin. Our friends seemed to understand the situation and just chose to stay quiet. That helped me think about what should I say and what should I do tonight.

"Jennie, can you arrange the bed for us? Jacob needs to rest," Marco looked worried. They were closed as Jacob got attached from us that's why he's that really worried for him.

Jennie also did what he said and immediately organized Jacob's bed. I was the one who bring out his clothes from his bag so he could change now. I'm sure, he's already sweating for walking that long.

"I'll get some towel with water," Jessy initiated.

"Thank you, Jess.." I smiled.

"No. I'll wash up. I can't sleep without taking a shower," Jacob said.

"You can't! It's cold, your throat might get swollen if you keep insisting!" I glared at him.

"But--"

"That a no. Jess, don't mind him. Just get a basin with a warm water and a clean towel,"

"Sure!" Jessy said in a seductive way, winking at me before walking out to get what I've said.

"Raine.."

"Shut up, Jacob. You can't talk right now, you're gonna kill yourself!"

"Wow. Exaggerated girl?" Sam joked, giggling beside me.

"She's overreacting, right?" Jacob interjects, laughing with Sam.

"Indeed." Sam showed her tongue to me, mimicking what I've said earlier.

Oh god. They even had the courage to joke right now, for fuck's sake!

But it was interrupted as soon as Gia enters the cabin, saying that Noah's waiting outside. The smile on my face disappeared and replaced with too much emotions inside my chest.

Am I ready to talk to him now?

I stared at the door for a moment before releasing a deep breath, standing with all I might. Maybe this is really the right time to talk to him, I hope it's going to be successful this time..

I clenched my jaw as I started to move my body to step forward, but I felt a tight gripped on my left wrist. Jacob was now staring at me with a serious expression, he's holding my hand while laying on his bed.

I hissed with the heavy feeling.. Oh god.

"Don't go.." His voice softened, pulling me closer to him. "Don't go, Raine.."

Damn, Jacob. Why are you doing this?

He even gripped it more, I can feel a bit of pain on it but It feels harder as my mind was like breaking into two..

Am I really going to choose? What for?
