"Just kidding.."

He chuckled while holding his mouth with his fist. I breathe in spasm for that, I feel like I needed to relax first. Oh god. I though he's going to scold me about it!

"You looked so scared earlier, look.. Your face heated from it!" And he burst out in laughing again.

I just held my annoyance and pretend to just laugh with him even though I was strangling him inside my head.

"I really thought you're serious..." I bit my lower lip, I feel so embarrassed now.

"You don't need to be. I'm sorry, I made fun of you,"

"Oh well..right," I shrugged and laughed like it's funny too.

What a fake, Raine.

He just smirked and tilted his head on the right side and held it with his index finger. He pursed his lips while he looked like he thought of something ridiculous.

I'm just silently waiting for him to speak here, he seems like he's thinking of something that can become our topic. And with that, I had the time to scan his whole office.

The design was just so plain, the paints were outstanding with three colors.. White, black, and gray, so manly and clean..

I also dream of having my own office and I'm going to design it on my own in the future. I love black and this whole room really attracts me.

"How have you been, Raine?" He said like he only think of his first question now.

"I'm well..uh, I mean. I'm studying?" I laughed, realizing how dumb my answer was.

"I can see that.." He nodded while tracing his lower lip, he licked it and then he turn to me. "Are you still dating..Noah?"

I was taken a back with that. I'm not expecting him to remember it because he looked so well..

It's kind of awkward too..

"Not anymore..It's been t-two years.." I said, shaking my head.

He seems to be surprised with the way his eyes widened. His lips rose up while trying to process what I've said. I don't plan to tell it to the world but.. I can't also lie that we aren't together anymore just because I'm shy..

I'm not going to pretend that I'm fine with it too. It's too uncomfortable for me to talk about it.

"Oh god. I'm sorry, I didn't know about it.." He shook his head, getting uncomfortable so I just smiled at him.

I gave him my best smile to tell it too him that it's fine with me. When he get what I'm trying to say, he just left out a long breath and brushed his hair backwards.

"About the past.." He started. He looked at me with those serious expression which made me looked at him.

"Hmm?"

"I left to move on.." His cheeks flared up. I'm not surprised with it, though. I know that's his prime reason why he left.

"I was reaching out to you before but you seemed to ignore me.."

"I even changed my number because of that, I'm really sorry.." He seemed guilty.

"Oh," I laughed.

"Don't laugh. I'm not over you yet,"

My eyes widened. When I looked at him, he looked so serious which really gave me a warning. I was biting my lips for awhile now and I don't know how to respond to it.

He liked me that..long?

"Joke!"

My mouth parted as he take back what he said again. Oh my god, what's happening to him?

"I just needed to clear things out for what happened before and to personally apologize for leaving like that..I'm so sorry for leaving without saying goodbye..it's just that, I think that it would be better for me to just let you go like that, because I might take back what I'm ought to when I start seeing you again.."

Is it that hard for him? Oh god. If I could only take the pain away from him before, I would really do it. I'm the reason of his hardship and I don't know how to make it up to him today.

"I'm also sorry..for hurting you that way..I just don't know how to say it to you without hurting your feelings.." I bit my lower lip.

"It's all worth it now, right? You don't have to say sorry because that's how you feel towards me.. I respect you very much, Raine. And If I would choose again, I'll still choose to like you.." He smiles genuinely, like he understand everything..

He hasn't changed. He's still nice as before and I'm glad that he already moved on from me.

"Thank you," I also gave him a smile.

"How you heard about Noah?"

"I don't know about his whereabouts now.." I shook my head.

"I've heard from my father that he's going to take over their company again. That asshole really needed on their company or else his dad will become a corpse right after failing their company," He chuckled.

I don't get what he's saying now. I just stared at his face, observing his expression but I don't seem to find the answer there. And when he finally noticed that I don't understand what he's saying, he immediately cleared his throat and his face became serious.

"Their company were at stake right now. Noah has only the ability to bring it back to normal again but you know that guy is a stubborn, right?" I nodded.

He chuckled and also agreed with my answer.

"His father crawled back to him and begged him to come back. I don't know how did he convinced Noah but, I think there's a reason behind it. A very important reason.."

"Why are you saying this to me?" I don't wanna sound rude but it makes me feel annoyed that he's mentioning about Noah right now.

I didn't even asked about it.

"I don't know? I just feel like.." He laughed again and stood up.

When I saw his action, I immediately stood up too and fixed the hem of my blazer. He reached for his wallet and gave me a card number.

"That's my calling card, just save my number on you phone. I needed to go to my next appointment now, thanks for your time." He offered his hand to me. "I'm happy to see you again, my friend.."

I gave him a friendly smile before taking his hand.

"You can now go back to your team mates and do great,"

"You too, Sir."

After that moment between us, I immediately headed back to our room to finally catch up with my mates. They're all giving me a thumbs up and a fighting sign. It somehow gives me good feeling which really brighten up my mood.

We decided to eat lunch outside after our work. And because I won the proposal, I treated them to meal. I also told Jacob to come with us but he said that he'll just eat at the cafeteria because he's shy with my mates. I felt worried because he will eat alone today but I don't have a choice. I just enjoyed the moment.

After having our lunch, we immediately went back to our works. It's still enjoyable though, I enjoy what I'm doing right now.

I'm just not certain if I'm really doing great. I haven't seen my grades.. I really hope the result wasn't that bad or else, my mom will kill me.

This is nuts. Oh my god.

"See you guys!"

We're now heading towards the door, my head was already hurting for too much radiation. I don't even have a computer glasses, I left it on Noah's shop before.

I don't want to go back there and take what I left. I might do a mistake and he's the one that I take with me.

"Oh my god, what's happening to me?" I whispered, getting weird with myself.

"What are you doing here?"

I was startled when Jacob appeared behind me and he even placed his arms around my shoulder which really made me looked so small.

I hate being caged with arms like this but this guy really does what he wants! Even when he knows that it's against my rules!

"Your arm is so heavy! Get it off!"

I flicked his underarm which caused him to let go of it. He glared at me and held the part that I flicked.

"You're such a bad brat huh!"

"And you're a jerk!"

"Wow!" He flushed an amused smile.

"Let's just go home, I'm hungry!" I said.

"You're going to feed me?" He grinned like he's expecting something.

"Your wish! I'm just going to cook. You're the one who's feed yourself," I rolled my eyes.

"Can I sleep at your place, then?" He asked.

"Why?"

"Because I want to sleep with you,"

I immediately hit his head, "OUCH!"

"No one has ever sleep with me, jerk! You might snore if your sleep beside me!"

"Who says that I'm going to sleep with you?"

"Stupid! You just said it!"

"No. I never said it," His face turned serious like he's really sure that he say it.

Oh god. He's so forgetful!

"Are you that old? How can you easily forget what you said!" I hissed, getting annoyed by him.

"Can I sleep at your place, then?" He asked again.

"Fuck! You're such a nagger!" I glared at him.

I immediately walked faster and leave him there. He's so annoying, what a jerk. He doesn't even remember what he said! I wish he would forget his name too!

"Hey, wait!"

I heard his footsteps but I just giggled. He's really funny, oh my god.
