Falling In Love With A Broken Hearted Man

As what we talked about yesterday, Noah hired an attorney who can help us on our case. We are here inside Noah's office since he still haven't a meeting room.

Attorney Furrer was one of my schoolmates during high school and he's now a lawyer which really suits him. His personality is very strict which make sense for his profession.

"Can we start now?" He asked while scanning the documents on the table.

"Yeah. We're kind of having this trouble on our shop and we needed your opinion for this," Noah put something on the table and I realized that it's the flashdrive.

He showed it to him which made Atty. Furrer and to purse his lips.

"You already had the evidence, we can turn that to the court but for now let's request a warrant of arrest to the suspect.. We cannot let go of this kind of chances, the appearance of Mr. Clark would get a big impact to their side when they face each other to the court," he said spontaneously.

"If we win this, will I be able to clear my shop's reputation? Will they apologize on Raine on public?"

I bit my lower lip. I just agreed to him since he won't stop nagging me if I didn't. But for at least, public apology would get a big change in my image. My feelings wouldn't hurt that bad.

"Definitely," He answered and read thoroughly on the documents.

"That's good, then," Noah nodded and turn to me.

He smiles and held my hand below the table. I also gave him an assuring look. I am now more okay that I'll finally get a public apology.

"Just give me another copy of your evidences, I'm going to read through your case face for better understanding and just in case for another strike from the other party," he gave us a formal opinion about it.

He looked so professional that I would gladly respect him if I bump him on the street. I can see that he's really passionate on his profession which gives me a slight envy about it. I only see him before, studying so hard. He always had a book on his hands and his spot was always on the library and sometimes I could see him on the bench studying again, I just always wonder before if he even eat properly because I could see how he prioritize his studies over something else.

There are also lot of girls who likes him before and one of that is Gia. She used to chase him where he goes before and I always tease Gia that her way was giving me damn creep inside.

Gia likes intelligent and silent guys which actually suits her. She's not the vocal type among us and she prefers to just listen that talking.

But of course, since that's Sean Furrer, he wouldn't look at her with the way Gia looks at him. And if he really likes her before, he would eventually asked her out.

"Raine?" Noah calls me. My eyes blinked twice in surprised. I didn't noticed that I am now staring at Sean.

I blushed when I realized how embarrassing that was. Noah's brows furrowed so I immediately stood up.

"Sorry, I was just thinking of something.." I apologized on Sean who looked surprised also.

I bit my lower lip again. Shit. Why am I even thinking about the old days, huh?

I heard Sean's chuckles so I immediately turn my eyes at him. I didn't also know what's Noah's reaction now since I'm too embarrassed to face him.

Damn. I think he's mad.

"That's fine, I'm not that person who assumes easily.." He stood up and fixed his suit.

I just looked down, now I feel awkward. Geez..

"So I guess.. We'll see each other again?" He smiles at Noah who's brows are still furrowed.

I swallowed hard when Sean turn to me and also smiled. His smiles aren't teasing nor seducing but it's making me feel awkward! Fuck!

I hope he won't get it as a bad idea..

"See you around.." He's about to get out when confusion strike me.

"WAIT!" I shouted which made him stopped and also Noah looked surprised.

He's already leaving? But how about the case? Shouldn't we talk about it first?

"Uh.." I bit my lip.

How should I open it?

"Yes, Ms. Scott?" He turn around to face me and gave me formal look.

"Do you need something, Raine?" Noah walked towards me and gave me questioning look.

I guess I should've just ask Noah so Sean wouldn't get the wrong way.

"Aren't we gonna..talk about the case further more?" I asked in confusion.

I mean, the meeting ends with that?

"What do you mean?" Now, Noah looked confused too.

Damn. Why did I stopped him!

"I mean, you stopped on giving us an advice but you didn't explained to us..further.." I want so scold myself for not speaking confidently..

Sean's brows rose up and bit his lip like he's about to laugh now. I don't understand it that's why I gave him a questioning look. I didn't want to look so stupid so I crossed my arms and pretend to be annoyed.

I saw how Sean got affected by that. He cleared his throat and shook his head.

"We're actually asking you and you just keep on nodding..so..we assumed that you approved of everything.." He answered uncertainly.

Oh my god.. Did I just got preoccupied!?

Fuck this. Can someone slap me now? God! I can't face them anymore!

"Oh..r-really?" I laughed. "Sorry, I forgot. I'm just a little tired that's why.."

I massaged my temples in so much frustration. Did I just embarrassed myself? I hope they would buy my excuse!

I heard Noah's heavy released so I pouted and looked at him. He seemed like he's about to scold me now but he's just containing it because Sean's here.

"So..do you want to ask something before I go?" Sean's face looked at bit hesitant so I shook my head.

"I'm fine with it now..I remembered everything, sorry for stopping you.."

"No, that's okay. Should I go now?" He asked.

"Thank you for helping us.." Noah shook his hand and I also did the same.

I hope he wouldn't felt my hands shaking now. It also feels cold but thanks to the weather, it wasn't looked like I was panicking..

"Take care.." I muttered when he left.

Fuck!

"Are you okay?" Noah asked with a concern in his eyes.

I was startled because I was expecting him to scold me now. Did he changed his mind?

When he noticed my reaction he suddenly became grumpy.

"You're so different today, Raine. You're giving me too much questions in my head," he says but he's caressing my head.

I smiled secretly. He just looked so cute when he's grumpy. I want to pinch his cheeks but I'm afraid that he'll get mad at me.

I giggled accidentally which made me froze. My heart starts to beat fast and my mind was clouded with so much thoughts! Seriously! What's wrong with me!

"Are you laughing at me now?" He looked irritated.

I immediately shook my head.

"Of course not!" I defend.

He rolled his eyes and tries to walk out but I stopped him by my hug. I wrapped my arms around his waist which made him stiffed.

He wouldn't resist me after this. Sorry for striking your weakness babe.

"Don't leave. I need you.." I said on his back.

I felt his shoulder moved but I didn't let go of him. I just wanted to stay like this for awhile.. He felt so warm and smells good..

"Why are you out of yourself, then?" He asked in a monotone.

I think he's careful of his tone which actually so like him.. Noah was kind of person who wouldn't make you feel scared of opening up your feelings to him..

He's a open-hearted person and that's what he's doing now..

"Tell me, babe. I'm not going to get angry unless you're attracted to Mr. Furrer. Just tell me if you are so I could cut ties with him--"

"No. Of course not!" I immediately answered.

I don't want him to be involved in my craziness. I'm just this bitch who finds my own trouble. Geez..

He purse his lips and nod. "You hungry now?"

This guy's always asking me If I'm hungry and then we'll go out to eat. I just can't help but to always smile, he's very thoughtful that I just want to be with him all the time..

I nodded and after a few minutes we're already on a famous restaurant. He closed the shop early since It's temporary closed for now. We're just going there because of some meetings so here we are now, eating alone since our meeting was finally over.

"Wanna order some more, baby?" He asked after drinking his water.

"No. I'm on a diet now," I slightly smiled. I still feel a bit conscious.

"Sorry for taking it too long to fixed this.. I promised you after this, you'll gonna be alright and everything will be back to normal again.." He says and held my hand on the top on the table.

I smiled at him and nod. Of course, he's the person who I trust the most. I would lay my trust because I love him..

"Do want to go out after that?" He asked which made me stopped.

He smirked and that gives an amusement to my face.

Geez.. He looked so handsome while smirking!

"Sure!" I bit my lower lip in so much happiness..

I can't wait for that day..
