Chapter 12 – Escape

Cheng Zhou followed Ye You and arrived at the place where he lived.

Cheng Zhou looked at the dirty and shabby cave. He couldn’t tell for a moment between which environment was worse, Maine’s thatched hut or Ye You’s cave!

Cheng Zhou thought in despair: He really overestimated Ye You. He thought the other party would find a better place to live. After all, he is a fallen demon! Moreover, he looked so outstanding.

If Ye You went to his world to start live streaming and do some sort of performance, he will become an international superstar in no time, and then rake in a lot of money. But the reality is otherwise……

Seemingly feeling Cheng Zhou’s disappointment, Ye You turned around, glanced at Cheng Zhou, and said coldly: ” Outlander, you should have been an aristocrat originally. I don’t know what conditions you lived in before, but the environment here is as such.”

Cheng Zhou: “……” An aristocrat or something, it is an overestimation. He’s just an ordinary corporate slave!

“This cave seems to have a stench.”

Ye You said nonchalantly: “It is the smell of bears. This cave was originally a bear’s lair, and I killed the bear.”

Cheng Zhou: “……” So you robbed the bear’s home?

Possibly affected by the injury, Ye You leaned against the wall on one side of the cave, hugged his arms, and fell into a deep sleep.

At night, the temperature in the cave is getting lower and lower. Cheng Zhou quietly approached Ye You, wanting to observe Ye You’s situation up close.

Ye You has very good skin and very delicate as if it will shatter when you blow your breath on it. It is completely on a different level from the cosmetic beauty of his world.

Ye You suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Cheng Zhou coldly, “What are you doing?”

Cheng Zhou blinked innocently and said: “Nothing? We are now grasshoppers tied to the same rope (partners in crime). How dare I do anything?”

Ye You snorted coldly and said, “It’s best if you understand!”

Cheng Zhou was lying in the cave, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

Cheng Zhou accidentally touched the package. He remembered that the package belonged to the knight before.

Cheng Zhou couldn’t help but feel a little regretful of his wrong decision earlier. If he had come out a little later, he could have waited until the two of them perished together, so he wouldn’t have to turn into a slave. Being controlled by others was too passive.

Ye You suddenly opened his eyes. His dark eyes were staring straight at Cheng Zhou.

“Why are you still not sleeping?” Ye You asked.

Cheng Zhou said nervously: “It’s not that I don’t want to sleep but I can’t sleep!”

Ye You gave Cheng Zhou a warning look, “If you dare to have any bad ideas, I will make you die miserably.”

Cheng Zhou laughed drily and said, “I know, I know.”

Cheng Zhou secretly complained in his heart and couldn’t help but think: If only I could go home. This world is too dangerous!

As Cheng Zhou thought so, a green light flashed and Cheng Zhou was transported to his temporary rental house.

Looking at the familiar living room, Cheng Zhou was very excited. He actually managed to return. He thought he would never be able to come back. Unexpectedly, he’s really back.

He just disappeared in front of Ye You. He doesn’t know how Ye You would be feeling now.

Cheng Zhou looked at the package in his hand and was a little excited.

When he came back, he unexpectedly returned with the knight’s package from Ye You, which was a pleasant surprise.

Ye you should be furious when he finds out that he escaped. He’s afraid Ye You will probably be even more furious if he finds out that he escaped with the package.

Cheng Zhou said inwardly: I don’t know how effective the strange seed Ye You made me eat it is, and being as far as a world apart, Ye You should not be able to control my life and death.

Cheng Zhou stared at the package with some anticipation. He thought to himself: The other world seems to be based on an aristocratic system. The knight who can produce light waves, at first glance, must have been from a noble background. There is no doubt that the other party’s wealth is much better than those poor people in Black Wheat Village.

Cheng Zhou opened the package with some expectation and checked his haul. There was a longsword inside.

Cheng Zhou examined the longsword. The longsword should be a product of some kind of alchemy. It feels heavy in his hand. This longsword should be a controlled knife (general term for some knives that can cause greater lethality and prohibited from being possessed by ordinary people at will).

The knight’s uniform was soaked with blood, and Ye You didn’t take it. However, Ye You took off the knight’s belt, which was decorated with a ruby. It was very gorgeous.

Cheng Zhou looked at the ruby and thought inwardly: Who needs to sell seafood if one has this gem? Selling this piece of gemstone should be enough to last me for a long time.

In addition to the belt, there is also a book in the package. Cheng Zhou suspected that it is a secret cultivation manual. However, when he opened it, it was full of characters that he couldn’t understand. Cheng Zhou silently lamented to himself that he couldn’t bear the blow of being illiterate! Really can’t bear the blow!

Cheng Zhou pried the gemstone off the belt and took it to the gem appraisal center to have it evaluated.

The appraisal center assessed the quality of the gemstone and finally valued it between 300,000 to 400,000 yuan. The valuation of the gemstone was lower than expected, but it was also not too low.

The person from the appraisal center said that if he wanted to, he could contact a dealer. If the buyer especially liked it, he might offer a better price. Cheng Zhou was in need of money and agreed to the other party’s suggestion.

The buyer who received the news soon arrived. Cheng Zhou quickly made a deal with the buyer. The buyer was very satisfied with the quality of the gem and offered 350,000 yuan. Cheng Zhou happily traded it with the buyer.

Cheng Zhou is walking on the road and his body feels lightened.

He used to work overtime every day just to get a salary of 10,000 yuan a month. Now, after a trip to the other world, his income is 350,000 yuan. In addition to the revenue from selling seafood previously, he already has 500,000 yuan on him. He felt it was surreal.

Cheng Zhou pondered about his next plan. When he first came back, he was reluctant to return there. However, after two days of rest, Cheng Zhou suddenly found that he really didn’t want to give up on that bizarre world. Elixir, spiritual insects, fighting force, seafood…… everything made him feel an upsurge of emotion.

However, Ye You is really a problem, and it is a big hidden danger to be controlled by others.

The strange seed linked him to Ye You. Cheng Zhou suspects that he shouldn’t have wanted to take his life. The other party planted the strange seed on him should be more as means for self-preservation.

Cheng Zhou is sitting in a buffet restaurant, eating grilled meat.

From the moment he entered the restaurant, he has eaten more than twenty plates of meat. Cheng Zhou feels that his appetite is getting better and better.

Since the time he started going to the other world, Cheng Zhou found that his appetite has been increasing. However, he discovered that his appetite has grown again. Cheng Zhou instinctively realized that his appetite has expanded, which may be related to Ye You. Maybe Ye You didn’t eat, and he ate Ye You’s portion as well.

Cheng Zhou was feeling a little depressed while eating the meat. After having so much horned boar meat, ordinary meat to him became greatly less appealing. Cheng Zhou can feel a rush of energy when he eats the horned boar meat before. On the contrary, ordinary food, at best, can only fill the stomach.

Cheng Zhou couldn’t help but miss the taste of horned boar and wondered if he could chance upon getting another horned boar to eat if he went to the other world again.

He is still physically vulnerable now. He’s afraid it’s not that simple to hunt a horned boar. It should be much easier with Ye You’s help.

While Cheng Zhou was eating and daydreaming, he soon found that he was being observed by several girls at the main table.

“This guy can eat so much!”

“With this way of eating, he can start a competitive eating (mukbang) live stream.”

“This person came alone. Is he experiencing a heartbreak that causes him to suffer from bulimia? It is said that brokenhearted persons are prone to binge eating.”

“……”

Hearing the discussion of several people, Cheng Zhou was a little speechless. Coming to a buffet restaurant, instead of eating, they were watching him. They are too idle.

Is binge eating necessarily caused by heartbreaks? Can’t you have a big aspiration, so your appetite increases? Superficial, too superficial!
