If you want to know someone

find out

what makes them angry

-Gon Freecs (HXH)

As we come out of the secret passage way I see Elizabeth in the hallway, coincidentally she notices Sebastian and I as well, her eyes light up with schemes.

"Sissy, please help. Miss Akiko thinks that I am trying to seduce her brother. She is trying to ruin my reputation. I haven't done anything wrong, but she is relentless and continues to bully me for no reason." She lightly runs over to me. Like a fairy walking on pink lotus flowers. White lotus she is indeed. Her hand goes to grab me, but I maneuver my body in a way so that all she grabs is air. I see the unconcealed anger in her eyes, before they revert to neutral.

The crowd gazes at me in disgust. What the hell is wrong with these people. I have just arrived on the scene and already Elizabeth seems to have led me into muddy waters.

Now I have to put on a show.

"Sister what's wrong. You look as though you've been wronged. Who's been bullying you." I scan the area for anyone with negativity around them. Someone is using Elizabeth as a ploy to deal with me. How coincidental is it that someone is bullying and I conveniently chance upon it? I should not underestimate these kids just because they were born with a silver spoon in their mouths. Their mothers grew up having to survive in the backyard, poison-filled tricks were practically invented there.

"Oh, so you're related to this trash too. I can see the resemblance, you both act like whores." The nosy crowd laughs at her insults. This is so childish, I'm old enough to be their grandmother and yet, I have to lower myself to squabbling with them. I got to fight poison with poison.

"It takes one to know one Akiko, I would think after the embarrassing way you returned to Mount class that time you wouldn't have the face to attack anyone. However, I now know that your skin must be thicker than cow's hide. You sure smell like one." I admit, my last words were a bit vulgar. I was insinuating that she smells like a cow's ȧss, but I don't have the patience to converse with nobles using poisonous words covered with sugar. It is quite boring. I also like to think of myself as a non-white lotus. I fight against them, not hypocritically using their own tactics against them.

Talking this out will not be any fun, and this may cause me to be late to class so I shall deal with both her and Elizabeth indirectly. I send a stream of my spiritual power up above. It is so thin that bȧrėly anyone can detect it. Dangling over us is a beautiful crystal chandelier, if it falls it will injure someone. That is exactly what I am hoping for. It cuts the base of the chandelier that is attached to the ceiling and then the chandelier falls.

Everyone screams as it lands beside Akiko and Elizabeth, miniscule sharp ends of crystal flying everywhere. I create a gust of wind to avoid being hit, and Sebastian quickly pulls me away from the chandelier as extra precaution.

Elizabeth pushes Akiko out of the way so that she can be seen as a damsel in distress. I've lived with Elizabeth for years, and I know for a fact that she would not willingly put herself in harms way to save her enemy. She's too logical to do something that stupid. My eyes flash as a me more appears in my mind but I push the thought back, it'll only upset me again. No one likes to be reminded of their past self's mistakes.

Everyone is quiet as they stare on the ground at Akiko and Elizabeth. Akiko is sprawled out on the ground as though her last seconds of life are upon her. Her hair is sprawled everywhere unpleasant looking and her violet eyes glow in resentment. Elizabeth looks more pitiful looking, with a few shards of crystal stuck in her white palms, and blood dripping down the side of her face, the scene can't not evoke feelings of sympathy for her. That is, unless you are me.

Two male students run out from the cafeteria to check out the scene. One of them is Maximus, and the other is Lao Hai. The male lead that I met the first time I fell for one of Jezabeth's schemes. (A/N chapter 47 if you forgot about Lao Hai)

Maximus and Lao Hai both check Elizabeth's condition. I glance at Akiko and her expression is crestfallen. Her own brother ran to the woman she despised before seeing if her, his sister was alright first. She must want to murder Elizabeth now. Though, I feel as though she should also direct those same feelings towards her brother as well. Sigh, the power of a plot is really exceptional.

The look in Akiko's eyes are unnerving. It's like a dam has broken loose. All of the pent up emotions inside her that she usually kept in check are now out of control. Her fists are balled tightly, she does not even notice the pieces of crystal still embedded deeply into her skin that's drawing out more blood. Damn, has she become a yandere. The way those red eyes glow is filled with possessiveness.

Lao Hai looks up at me apathetically observing the situation before me and somehow concludes that am the creator of all this mess. I see my impression from the first time that we met still has not worn off. Or it could be said that Elizabeth has made sure that he never forgets.

"What did you do to her!"He jumps up and storms towards me, demanding an explanation. I can not believe this irrelevant fly thinks that he is important.

I do not stop Sebastian when he defends me.

"Back off Lao Hai, she is my girl. You don't talk to her that way." If this were a chick-flick, I would be swooning with all of the testosterone being released in such close proximity to me.

Lao Hai moves to say something else, but Maximus stops him. That's right, when the important people are admiring something you do not disturb them.

"Melia, do you know what happened?" When he calls me by my first name I see how it makes Sebastian's muscles tense, a murderous look in his eyes.

I shake my head no in response to his question. Maximus turns around and that is when he notices Akiko. She's still sitting on the floor. Her hair covering half of her face so you cannot see what her expression is. I can imagine that it is not anything good.

The crowd has not left yet. In fact I believe that the situation with the chandelier falling probably egged them on even further. It is probably getting so interesting to the point that they can not look away.

In the crowd, there is one person who has not left since the start of the altercation. The girl from earlier at the cafeteria. Her eyes flash a deep brown. On her arms, hidden away from everyone's view are bulging yellow veins. You can see the strange liquid coursing through them like a horse running through the wilderness. Sharp canines pierce her originally red now white lips.
