"That day, I was in my courtyard chatting with my personal maid about the latest gossip going around in the manor. She told me that a mysterious handsome man was speaking with my father in his study. Curiosity had gotten the better of me, so I snuck into my father's study with her help to eavesdrop on their meeting. I only wanted to see if the rumors were true.

The moment I got there I was astounded when I peeked in and witnessed his handsome features for myself. He had that dangerous kind of beauty. One where if you got too close, for sure you would be burnt.

As I listened in on their conversation, I had learnt that the man was visiting my father, in order to strike a deal with him. You see it was nearing the emperor, your father's, birthday banquet, and daddy was at a loss on what to gift. And I guess he heard of my dad's situation and saw it as a good way to earn profit.

So right. Um, remember the rare cooling jade crystal that was gifted to the emperor?"

"Wow, so it was him who gave it to the grand tutor! He must have some serious connections."

"Yeah, hehe and that's not all.."

"Go on.." I say. My voiced laced with intrigue.

"He was a strange man. He didn't request for money or status. He only had two terms

that he wanted to be met. He gave my father an aged piece of paper with words on it. My father was confused on what it meant, but I vaguely remember the man mentioning the words 'Sakura Jian', and "Secrets". My father hid the paper in a slot under his desk but his careful movements could not escape my discerning gaze. Once the two of them left his study, I came out of the hole I made in the roof, and went into the secret compartment to read the contents of the paper.

It read something along the lines of the sword being the most powerful sword on this continent. That once it is active it will be covered in a cloud of thick blood ŀust. It also said that the user had to combine spirit and mind to use it though, I don't know what that means.

So anyway back to the story. Father came back into his study two minutes later much to my surprise and... I am telling you the truth he was furious once he saw what I had in my hand. To the point that he used the family punishment rod on me. My cute little buŧŧ was burning and had a very harsh red hue to it. My personal maid helped me back to my courtyard, rubbing ointment on my woulds while I gazed at the roof in self pity.

It was late at night when I met the handsome stranger again. He appeared at my window, and gave me a blue, crystal vile filled with ointment to heal my wounds. He said that it's top quality but there will be minor side-effects. Which is the reason why I am slightly more hairier than the females in the Kristonian Empire.

And he was right, you know. Usually it would have taken me at least half a month to recover. But instead it took me a week. I have been a steady admirer of him since then. Even though I've only met him twice in person, that doesn't mean that he hasn't visited me in my dreams."

"What the hell Melia! Why did you slap me!? And so hard too!" She rubs her red right cheek in shock, eyes glaring at me in fury.

"You're lucky I didn't hit you harder! I was holding back." She is always stuck in her delusions. Someone had to bring her back. And unfortunately that someone was me.

"What the hell did I even do..."

"It's just... you had that look of obsession in your eyes, and I couldn't handle it anymore."

"Ugh, so you can have a crush and K can't? What kind of bullshit is this."

"The necessary kind of bullshit to keep you safe, sane and in the realms of you and him are never gonna happen."

"Do you have to be so brutally honest to me?"

"Yes, Yes I do."

"Mel, do you want to know the strange part of it all."

"After that day, my personal maid Leighanne, went missing....
