296 I Wish I Was A Space Master
While they were walking back to the dorm, several female students from class B immediately approached Emma. They wanted to confirm Marci's suspicions that Bastian, the school president, liked Emma or not.
"Marci was wrong," said Emma impatiently. "I have nothing to do with Bastian, and I am sure he doesn't have a crush on me."
"But .. what about you? Don't you like him then?" Stell asked Emma with a probing tone. "If the news that you like Bastian reached Ylsa .. she won't like it. She could bully you and make your life hard in the academy."
Emma shrugged. "Why would Ylsa bully me?"
"Everyone knows she likes Bastian," said Stell, shaking her head. "Ylsa is a princess. She can do whatever she likes because of her status."
"Is it true?" asked Emma. "She's just a princess from a neighboring kingdom. What can she do in Akkadia?"
"Ah .. you didn't know this. So, even though Princess Ylsa is not from Akkadia, one of the Akkadian princes takes a liking on her. Princess Ylsa can do whatever she wants here, just like in Terren," Stell explained. "The prince will protect her."
"One of the Akkadian princes likes Ylsa? Which one?" Emma looked at Stell intently. There were only three princes in Akkadia, namely Therius who was now the king, Heron, who had been executed for treason, and Yared. Was Stell talking about Yared?
"It is Prince Yared," said Stell. "He once came here to see Princess Ylsa. I heard this story from seniors at breakfast yesterday."
"I don't understand." Emma furrowed her brows when she heard Stell's words. "Didn't you say Ylsa likes Bastian. How could she use Yared's influence to do whatever she want? Is that true?"
Stell nodded. "It's true. Prince Yared doesn't know that Princess Ylsa likes Bastian. He thinks Ylsa is into him, but everyone here knows Ylsa is only using him to get away with things. I think Ylsa can do whatever she wants because she is very beautiful."
Emma snorted at Stell's words. So what if Ylsa was beautiful? Yldwyn was also beautiful, but her heart was rotten.
If Yared really liked a cunning girl like Ylsa who took advantage of him while liking other men, then Yared deserved it.
Emma still remembered that Yared onspired to overthrow Therius from his position as the crown prince.
However, unfortunately, because Therius did not have evidence of Yared's crime, he could not punish that cousin of his. Therius could only limit Yared and his family's access from operating in the capital.
"Good, if Yared likes Ylsa," said Emma, rolling her eyes. "They deserve each other."
And .. were Marci's words true? Did Emma really forbid Bastian from being their class mentor? If so, why did Emma do it?
Wouldn't having Bastian as their mentor, together with Marci, increase their pitiful class's chances of winning the challenges?
"What is wrong?" Emma asked Miri. She stared at Miri's hand that was on her shoulder.
"You haven't explained why Bastian always seems so awkward around you," Miri was persistent. "Now that Marci said it, I realized that Bastian always acts weird around you. Do you really not have any relationship with him?"
"Jeez ... Miri," Emma dropped Miri's hand from her shoulder. "If Bastian acts awkward, it's none of my business. Maybe that's how he is? I don't know and I don't care. He's none of my business."
"Did you tell Bastian not to be our class mentor?" asked Miri again. "Tell me the truth!"
"Of course not," said Emma, who could utter lies very easily. She narrowed her eyes at Miri and shook her head firmly. "I have nothing to do with Bastian, okay? I told you I have a boyfriend, and he is much better than Bastian."
Actually, Emma really wanted to use telemancy and control Miri's mind so that she would stop talking about Bastian and her. However, Emma quickly realized that her classmates would be suspicious if Miri suddenly changed her attitude.
So, finally, Emma was forced to be patient. Meanwhile, Miri widened her eyes in puzzlement at Emma's words.
"Did you say your boyfriend is so much better than Bastian? How is that possible? Bastian is a multiple-element mage! People like him are very rare," Miri cried. "Unless your boyfriend is also a multiple-element mage, which I highly doubt, then he cannot be better than Bastian!"
Emma wanted to laugh in Miri's face. Therius, her husband, was a multiple-element mage who possessed 3 powers at a very high level, all of which were offensive powers.
Two of his powers were even at Lvl-10. So, even if Bastian was a multiple-element mage like Therius, he was still at level 5. He was nothing compared to Therius.
Not to mention the fact that Therius was more mature, more handsome, smarter ... and he was the king of Akkadia. Who could possibly match his power on this planet?
However, Emma could only keep it to herself. She patted Miri on the shoulder and gave her a piece of her mind. "Miri, it's not good to glorify someone too much. There is still another sky above the sky."
Having said that, Emma then rushed into the dormitory toward the elevator. She pressed the button up, and the doors soon opened before her. Miri, Stell, and several other girls followed her in. None of them said anything on the way up.

After finishing dinner, Emma decided to say hi to her husband. She wanted to know how Therius was doing. She sat on the bed and turn on her tablet to call Therius.
BEEP
BEEP
"Hey..."
Therius's face beamed when he saw Emma. The man was sitting on his work chair in their chamber. In his hand, there were several state documents. As always, he was busy with work.
"Hey, Honey. I miss you," Therius exclaimed, putting down his documents on his chair and walking over to Emma. Emma also got out of bed and stood up. Now she was face to face with Therius.
Ahh ... unfortunately, even though they were standing opposite like this, and it felt so close, they couldn't touch each other.
The two stared at each other without saying anything for almost a minute.
"Uhm, if I could trade one of my powers for another ... I want to become a space master," said Emma finally.
Therius looked closely at Emma. His topaz blue eyes glint with curiosity as he uttered his question, "Why do you want to be a space master?"
Emma looked down sheepishly. "I want to be a space master, so I can fold space and be there with you now..."
THUMP!
When he heard Emma's sincere words, Therius's heart was filled with warmth. He really wanted to rush over to hug her and kiss her. Unfortunately, they were thousands of kilometers apart.
He could only stare at her longingly.
Was it not too late to ask Emma to come home to the capital to be with him? Did she really need to study at the academy? She could train at home with experts, right?
Therius didn't entertain those selfish thoughts. He only smiled sweetly, showing his dimples, and whispered to Emma. "I wish you were here too..."
"Marci was wrong," said Emma impatiently. "I have nothing to do with Bastian, and I am sure he doesn't have a crush on me."
