Flower on the ash

The hall was very big and beautifully decorated with a lot of guests there dressed elegantly. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson walked towards us from the crowd .

"Oh dear. Welcome. "Mrs. Wilson stated excitedly and hugged me .

"Hello mom . Hello dad." I greeted both of them .

Alex hold my hand again and join the crowd. Alex's parents introduced me as Alex's girlfriend to guests they were talking to. I felt constant gaze of many people on me but I didn't look back who were they . Everyone was enjoying the party . Two men came towards where me and Alex were standing . One of them was Kelvin and I didn't know the other one . He was also as handsome as Alex and Kelvin . He has light brown hair with matching eye and fair skin.

"Meet him. He is my childhood friend . Graham Xin. And Graham she is my girlfriend , Anna " Alex said introducing me and the other guy who came with Kelvin .

"Hello , Mr. Xin. "I said and gave him a sweet smile.

"Hello , Ms. Anna. And just call me by my name . After all we are going to be a family soon." Mr. Xin said smiling. Graham was more friendly and frank than either Alex and Kelvin . We chatted there for a moment and then Mrs. Wilson came and took me with her.

"Come here. I'll introduce you to my friends."she said clapping her hands and then dragging me with her . On a round table three middle aged ladies were sitting and gossiping with each other when me and Mrs. Wilson joined them .

"She is my daughter-in-law. " Mrs. Wilson introduced me .

"Hello aunty. "I bowed .

"What a sweet girl. Sit. " woman in red gown said who was sitting next to Mrs. Wilson .

"Come Anna. She is Mrs. Xin , Graham's mother . " Mrs. Wilson said and pointed at the red-gown woman . She further continued, "~she is Mrs. Zhen and she is Mrs. Fu. " I smiled looking each of them . We talked there about me , my work and some awkward questions about me and Alex.

"When are you going to have babies . "Mrs. Fu asked again an awkward question.

"We well when ~ ah someone's calling me . I have to go . Sorry. " I made an excuse and hurriedly walked away from them . While walking I bumped into a lady .

"Ah. I'm sorry Miss. "I quickly apologized.

"Oh . It's Mrs. Wilson daughter-in-law." the voice spoke to whom I bumped into . I looked at her with a soft smile.

"You know me . Quite a surprise. "I said while smiling.

"Who doesn't know you here . You are today's limelight. "she said and offered me a drink from the table beside her.

"Thanks . " I said for the drink.

"After all , after toying with many girls he stopped at you. "she said in a low voice but enough for me to hear. Of course I knew that Alex had done these kind of things. Even our first meet was in such circumstances. 'This is surely not going to be right .' I thought to myself .

"Please excuse me. " I tried to get away from this atmosphere.

"Oh. Come on . Sit ." she said and draw a chair for me to sit. Considering the situation where I am I sat down . She sat in front of me.

"Alex is nice . Isn't he?" she asked .

"Surely he is. " I replied and took a sip from my glass. She asked a lot of random question about Alex. After talking to her I can surely tell that she fancies him and know a lot about his liking and disliking.

"You are lucky that Alex eyes landed on you ." she said and stood up and then me also.

She was weird. Talking about her and Alex only. I looked around to find Alex. He was still there talking to his friends. I started walking towards him but turned my way to food counter. I didnt want to interrupt him and his friends. I took some strawberry pastries and pineapple pastries. It tasted amazing with all the flavors melting in my mouth but after taking few bites I wasn't feeling well. I had to throw my pastries while my inner soul was crying for doing such a cruel thing.

I walked towards Alex and hold his arms. He looked towards me and he excused himself from his friends.

"What happened?"Alex asked me with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm not feeling good. " I answered him truthfully.

"Why? What happened? "he again asked in a worried tone.

"I don't know. "I said . I felt my knees getting weaker and I hold him tighter.

"Ok. Let's go to hotel. Maybe you need rest. " he said and I nodded my head. Alex informed his parents and friends and took me to the parking area. The driver came with his car and we set off to the hotel.
