Flower on the ash

A woman in her early twenties was sitting on a beach seeing the sunset ,caressing her six months baby bump and talking to herself.

"I'm sorry baby for not giving you a complete family. Your mom is selfish for herself. I don't want to forget everything about the one I have loved dearly. I saved a memory of him which is going to be with me forever. Brian's parents didn't accept me from the start of our relationship .Brian met an accident while saving me and suffered from memory loss. His parents were angry with me as they blamed me for his state. They drove me out but till that time I was already pregnant. I didn't tell his parents that I'm pregnant because I don't know what they will do when they will know this. If they forced me to abort it , I won't be able to do that. I can't bear to loose the only symbol of love between me and Brian. "

A tear rolled down her face as she whiped it away quickly.

" Joe come it's already late now. "A woman in the same age as the woman sitting on the sand called her. She was also pregnant with a big baby bump than the woman named Joe.

"Mina. I thought you already went away. "Joe stated standing up and walking towards Mina.

"How can I go when my friend is still here?" Mina said and started walking along with Joe towards there house.

"You shouldn't go out alone Mina. You can deliver the baby anytime now. "Joe said with a worried look.

"Yeah, I know. You should take care of yourself too. It's been 6 months since you and Brian have separated . You must be missing him. " Mina said and sat on a bench to take a rest from walking. She was sweating hard.

"Are you okay? You are sweating too much. " Joe said with a worried expression. She took out a ker-cheif and wiped her forehead.

"I am always like this for a week now. " Mina said took the ker-cheif from Joe's hand to hers.

Mina stood up again to walk but just after taking one step she scremed. Joe grabbed her by her shoulders.

"What happened?" Joe asked.

"M-My water b-broke. " Mina said and again screamed in pain.

"W-wait. I'll get help." Joe said and ran towards the road to get help from one of the passerby car. She saw a black car coming towards her. She waved her hands to stop the car. As the car stopped she knocked on the driver's window. The window rolled down. A driver was sitting on the seat.

"I-I need your help. My friend is in emergency. We need to go hospital. " Joe said and looked towards Mina. She was still screaming in pain.

"Sorry ma'am . We can't he~" the driver refusing when the voice from backseat cut him.

"Let them in. " said the voice. Joe recognized the voice . It was Brian's voice but Joe didn't care about that now. Her first priority was Mina who was still screaming in pain. Joe and the driver rushed towards Mina and carried her to the car. The driver made both Joe and Mina sit in the backseat. Joe sat and saw that Brian was there sitting but of course he didn't recognized her. They reached the hospital in a few minutes and admitted Mina to a ward. She went inside the labour and Joe sat near a bench. She called Mina's husband and told him to come over to the hospital.

"Thank you, Mr. Wilson. " Joe said to show her gratitude.

"I-I saw you on news. " she lied.

"Oh. May I ask you a question?" Brian asked.

"Yeah. Of course. " Joe said with a smile.

"Have we met each other before. I think I know you." Brian said and Joe didn't know how to answer but luckily Mina's husband came and she excused herself. Brian left the hospital and went off for his work.

After two hours they were allowed to meet Mina. She gave birth to a baby boy.

"What will be the name of the child ?" Joe asked curiously holding Mina's son in her arms.

"We already decided to call him Graham. Graham Xin." Mr. Xin said sitting near his wife who just got out of labour pain. Joe put the baby in the carriage and said goodbye to them . She left the hospital and started walking to her rental house when two men in black stopped her.

"Ma'am please come with us. " one of the two men said.

"To where? I don't know you." Joe said and took one step backward.

" Please listen to us if you don't want you or your baby to get hurt. " the other man said. It was best to follow them or God knows what would happen.

"Okay. " Joe replied and then someone blindfolded her from behind. They guided her to a car and made her sit comfortably in it. The car engine started and they took Joe away with them.
