Flower on the ash

Mrs. Wilson ended her story and now we were done eating too.

" If you can , will you earse this accident from your life? " I asked .

" No. The reason why me and Brian have so much trust in each other is because of this incident. " Mrs. Wilson said and patted my head. " No-one in this world will be able to separate you and the one you love if it's true. "

I nodded my head and gave her a soft smile.

" What about your in-laws ?" I questioned her which made her chuckle.

" They still don't like me. " she said. We sat there and talked about many things , specially about Alex and his mischievous act when he was small.

" I should be taking my leave now. Alex should be here. " she said and just then the door opened to reveal Alex. Mrs. Wilson left with her driver and now me and Alex were alone.

" I have thought it through. I won't abort the baby. I'll be responsible for this. You don't need~ " I said but was cut by him in middle.

" Who said you are going to be responsible for this on your own. The thing happened can't be change. Neither me nor you wanted this. I'll give you promotion. " Alex said making me confused.

" What promotion? I haven't even worked for a week and now I'm getting promotion?" I said with a raised eyebrow.

" No. You are getting promoted from my girlfriend to my wife. " he said with a straight face.

" What !! " I was so shocked. What the heck is he saying.

" I will take your full responsibility. After all the child you are gonna give birth to is mine too. " he said and made himself comfortable on the chair.

" I know. But marrying someone is not a decision to make recklessly. " I said my head hung low.

" Hmm... . I'm giving you time to think about it. Don't stress yourself out. We are going back today. " He said and left to do my discharge procedure.

It's not like I don't want to get married, but marrying someone like Alex is totally like dream. Many girls who are from rich background drools over him. Getting into such a great family just because I'm going to be mother of his child, it's not appropriate. I can't marry someone who doesn't have feelings for me. What if this child had to experience the same thing I'm experiencing. I tried to shake off these unwanted thoughts and stood up to change my clothes.

I wore a frock and tied my hair in a bun. The following hours I did nothing just scrolled down my phone.

"Kelly should be discharged by now. " I said to myself and was going to call her to tell what happened and why wasn't I there on her discharge day when I stopped. She already has enough problem in her life. 'I'll tell her after she deal with her own problem. ' I thought to myself and pushed my phone aside.

" Come. Everything's ready. " Alex came and said after half an hour. Our all stuff had already been loaded and we took our seat in the private jet.

" Where's Kelvin? " I asked Alex . As Kelvin attended the party so I thought he would be coming with us.

" He left for country in his own private plane on the same day party was held. " he said and waved his hand to the air-hostess to serve us some soft-drinks.

" Are you going to tell your parents about your pregnancy?" Alex asked me.

" Not now. " I replied. Honestly, I haven't thought about it that how I'm going to tell my parents about it. I don't even know what to expect when I'm going to tell them this.

" Here. Take your pregnancy report. " he said and extended his hand to give me the paper. He continued "~ my men are still finding the one who tried to poison you. " he said and ruffled his hair. I nodded my head and put the report in my handbag. The tour to France was for short period of time but it drastically turned my life in a mess.

I rested my head on the chair's back when suddenly my phone rang. I looked at the ID. It was Kelly's call.

" Hello, Anna. " Kelly spoke from the other end. Her voice was feeble like she had just cried.

" Did something happen to you?" I asked , worried for her.

" Anna. Where are you now ?" Kelly asked.

" I'm out. I'll be there in a few hours. " I said.

" Ok then. Meet me in my house when you are free today. " she said and ended the call.

I have never seen Kelly crying before. She is a strong girl. Whatever the reason is , it is surely big our else she wouldn't cry like this that her voice is hoarse. I was getting impatient now.

" What happened?" Alex asked seeing me being impatient.

" Kelly called me. She was crying ." I said with furrowed eyebrows.

" Oh. Don't worry. You can go to see her after we reach the country. " Alex said and started doing his work in his laptop, while I just sat there waiting for the plane to land.
