Forbidden Desires

Sky sat on the chair at the little café facing the road. Sipping slowly at his coffee watching people go by.

Mindlessly playing with the packet of sugar that previously occupied the table.

He watched the large cars drive by the street; much like his life nothing any longer held any meaning.

It was just another day of misery.

Until his grey eyes caught sight of a particular redhead and just as suddenly he was on his feet.

He chased after her across the street. Following, the streak of red. The tenacious woman that once drove him to madness.

And into the book shop where she stopped.

He watched her fingers slide against each cover as her lips pursed. He just stood there, ċȧrėssing the little box that he carried for so long that he could now bȧrėly remember what it held.

For the first time in his life, he was scared, frozen in a time long before as each memory flashed in front of his eyes.

Her nȧkėd body, her sinful mȯȧns, her smell of vanilla. Each time that she laughed. But, most of all that day.

The day she left with tear-stained eyes. They had been pleading him to say something, anything at all that would make her stay.

He wished he had.
