Chapter 53 Lu Shiyu

The crowd stared like they had seen a ghost, wondering if there was a problem with their vision. Did that girl just eat a piece of meat from Xiang Ning’s bowl? Was that not an indirect kiss? 

The one in most shock was naturally Xiang Ning, whose brain froze. Only his sister had done something this intimate. Xiang Xiaoyu had always been a picky eater and had never liked carrots. Since it was nutritious, he would make her eat some, then eat the rest. It was all-too-natural for him. But who was this girl? He didn’t know her! 

Fatty Wang gasped in astonishment. “You’re the transfer student? Lu Shiyu?” Her features and clothing matched what he had heard. Apparently, her hair color was natural, not dyed. 

Lu Shiyu did not deny it, generously placing a piece of meat from her plate into Xiang Ning’s bowl. “I’ll introduce myself again—my real name is Lu Shiyu, from the planet Landu. Can I join your team?” She blinked her large eyes, staring at Xiang Ning. 

Xiang Ning and Fatty Wang didn’t say much, thinking she had introduced herself somewhere else and was re-introducing herself again. But why did she say ‘real name’? Did she go by other names? He wanted to ask how she knew him, what she was doing here but now he understood. This transfer student wanted to join his team. But why? She wasn’t there just because there were only four people in his team instead of five, was she? Even if she had no choice, she should have inquired more before making the decision. 

“Why?” asked Xiang Ning. 

Lu Shiyu immediately replied, “Because of you, duh.”

The crowd was speechless. 

“Yeah, I heard the transfer student is powerful, and Xiang Ning is a martial artist who defeated Zhao Huatai. It’s only natural she wants to join his team because of him.” 

“Mm, that’s true. I’m about to break through and become a martial artist, and I heard they’re gonna start a second special training class. I wonder if I’ll be able to join Xiang Ning’s team then.” 

Many decided to forget what Lu Shiyu had just done to Xiang Ning. It was only natural for humans to focus on the good, while tossing the uncomfortable to the back of their minds. 

Wang Zhe understood, too, though this girl was more straightforward than expected. He heard foreign girls from other nations were like this… but Lu Shiyu wasn’t just any foreign girl, she was a foreign alien girl from another planet! 

Landu was the planet where the Great Disaster had started. The fearsome beasts had been too powerful, and to protect the species, mankind poured copious resources into interstellar travel research, ultimately finding a planet suitable for human life three light-years away from earth. 

It was said that there was another planet there with intelligent life similar to pre-disaster era Earth, but Wang Zhe didn’t know the details. 

While everyone thought Lu Shiyu was there for the team, Xiang Ning saw the truth in her eyes. Her true goal was him, because he was all there was within her eyes. It was a strange feeling, and he bitterly chuckled to himself as he pushed the thoughts away. Perhaps she really was here for the team. Students must be part of a team for the activity in two days, and his team was lacking a person. Initially, he hadn’t thought that only having four people was a problem anyway. 

“Uh, I’ll have to ask my teammates first.” He wasn’t in a position to immediately agree, either. Although Fatty Wang said she was powerful, he still didn’t know how strong she was. He had to listen to the rest of his teammates, right? 

Anyway, he was hungry. He picked up the piece of meat she put in his bowl and placed it in his mouth without much thought.

When Lu Shiyu heard his answer, her lips had slightly curled up like a cat getting what it wanted, and she sent another piece of meat to his bowl.

Xiang Ning was confused. He looked around, but found nothing. There were some unfriendly gazes, but.… He turned to look at Lu Shiyu, then ate another piece of meat that she had given him.

However, he felt that it was inappropriate for this to go on, so he picked up some of his and Wang Zhe’s vegetables for Lu Shiyu.

He rolled his eyes. What the hell? How selfish can you be? With this logic, if he had a wife, and his wife went for a meal with another man, did he have to call the cops? 

Lu Shiyu was delighted when she saw him placing vegetables on her plate, suddenly feeling like he was adorably naive. 

Tens of thousands of meters above their heads, in space beyond Earth's ozone layer, a combat ship quietly floated. 

“Colonel Lu, it looks like Miss Lu found the person she was looking for,” a lady reverentially said to a man on the bridge. 

The man was handsome and radiated a steely resilience, but his hair was graying. He looked worn out.  

“Hmm, let’s not interfere. If she tells him the truth, I’ll personally talk to the kid.” Colonel Lu’s full name was Lu Shaohua, a Colonel of the Federation's Navy. He was known as one of the best military talents in the last thirty years and was a symbol of war strategy, not to mention a military legend. Yet he was only twenty-eight years old. 

The lady nodded. She knew a little about the princess of the Lu family, and all she could say was that the boy was lucky to have caught her attention. 

On land, Xiang Ning was done with lunch and felt as energized as a flower after rain. It was phenomenal that he had reached five thousand Fury Points just from lunch! However, to prevent himself from being kidnapped and beaten up when he left school, he had eaten in a hurry. 

After lunch, Wang Zhe left for class, leaving him alone with Lu Shiyu, taking a slow walk to the inner court on campus. 

“Can I ask you something?” he asked, scratching his head. 

Lu Shiyu quietly stood next to him. He finally took a good look at her and her soft, dull pink hair. She was beautiful indeed—at least the second most beautiful girl he had ever met. 

The most beautiful girl was naturally Xiang Xiaoyu. No one was cuter than his little sister!
