Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 103 - How Do Our Energies Match?!

Celestia's POV:

I recalled everything that happened at the Doors of the Damned. Lilin didn't try to battle with Theo. She even confessed that she was still in love with Theo. But now she is attacking the barrier and challenging Theo?!

"The whole realm could be her target. But I thought that Lilin would not attack the Lowlands because of you," I argued with Theo.

"Celestia, did you forget that I released thousands of the demonic warriors from the Doors of the Damned? That is why Lilin is striking against me."

"So that is why Lilin is attacking us?" I gasped. "Then you have to send away the warriors back to their lands. Or else Lilin will keep attacking us until she gets what she wants."

Theo shrugged off at my words. "About that, my sweetness, I am sorry, I can't be able to give up my warriors."

I stared at him hopelessly. Lilin has somehow doubled her powers, and she is attacking the lands constantly to retrieve the Demon warriors. But Theo is refusing to send them back to the Shadow Realm.

Why is he not doing the one thing that can bring peace to everyone? I thought he has given up his ambitions!

"Celestia, you have got me wrong," Theo said. "My intention is not to disrupt the peace here. I will send off the Demon warriors back to their realm, but do you know what will happen if I do that?"

"What will happen?" I asked him.

"All the thousand warriors will be sealed back into the Doors of Damned again. The Demon Queen Lilith will chastise them all even more severely than she did before. Those warriors just now got back their lives. Are you asking me to send them all back to that cave and let them suffer again?"

His explanation made sense. I almost forgot that the Demon warriors were imprisoned in that cave by the Demon Queen Lilith for so many years. They deserve to live their life at least now!

"Then you should not send them back," I sighed and responded.

Theo nodded slowly. "And that is why my love. We have no other choice except to battle with Lilin and take her down."

"I understand," I sighed. "And I am sorry for doubting you, Theo."

"it's okay, my love," he smiled. "You should stop apologizing to me now."

He then embraced me in his arms and patted my golden locks. "I forgot to say something. We are going to the Southern region shortly because all are anticipating an attack from Lilin tonight."

I clutched his robe and sighed to myself. Why can't Theo and I just live in peace? Why do we have so many opponents?!!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took me a very long time to realize that even my powers are increased too. I have unleashed my Angel powers! Lilin will not be able to call me a weakling anymore. I am sure that whatever her powers are, Theo and I will be able to stop her effortlessly.
I took a couple of berries from my plate and dropped them inside the golden cage of Tangerine. She must have been starving. The poor thing crammed the berries with her beak hastily.
"Tangerine, I will be gone for a couple of days," I said to her. "Till then, you have to behave yourself."
She stopped chewing the berries, and she glared at me with her golden-brown eyes. I felt sorry for her. I should probably take her with me.
But Theo told me to leave her here. Apparently, the Southern Mage Lord Arcadia is not a big enthusiast of the birds. He thinks that pets might degrade the perfect castle that he has built. I still don't get why Arcadia loves his buildings more than he loves living beings!
"Don't worry, Tangerine. I will be back soon. I will instruct Amelia to take very good care of you," I said to her.
She began to whine and made me feel even guiltier for leaving her. Well, I promised her that I would never leave her again. But it is not my fault that Arcadia doesn't like pets.
I slid my fingers into the golden cage and caressed her head gently with my one finger. She calmed down immediately after that. It seems like she forgave me!
But her gaze was not at me. She was looking sideways.
"Hey, little birdie," I heard Amelia's voice.
When did she get here? And this time, she didn't even knock on the door. She had teleported to my room directly!
"Don't worry, little birdie! I will take very good care of you," She said to Tangerine.
Amelia then glanced at me. "Celestia! I heard you mention my name, and I appeared here immediately."
I blinked at her in surprise. Amelia must have been in a totally different area of the palace. Still, she was able to hear me?
"You do remember that I am a gifted Siren, don't you? I can read other's minds from a very long distance, and when someone says my name, I will be able to hear it even if they are miles away from me."
"That is amazing," I gasped out. I wonder if Theo can do the same. But he is not a complete Siren! Probably he doesn't have that power.
"You are right. Theo doesn't have the capabilities of a gifted Siren. But he seems to have a special connection with you that even I am not able to understand," she declared.
"What?!! Does he have a special connection with me?"
"Yeah, he does. Why are you both not able to harm each other?"
She was right! I could not harm Theo with my flames, and even his Silver flames do not affect me. How is this possible?
"Is it…. Is it because of the oath I took with him?"
"I don't think so! There is something more to this. Since I am gifted, I can also sense the energies of others around me. And both of your energies feel the same to me. There are times when I have mistaken Theo for you."
I didn't exactly get what she was saying to me because Theo and I are different people. His powers are so different from mine! And he is a Half Siren! But how do our energies match?
"Celestia, you should ask Theo about it.. He might have an answer to this!" Amelia said and left the room.
