Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 234 - I Am Untouchable.

Celestia's POV:

"Celestia…. What are you waiting for? Runaway from here….." Edwin shouted while he was firing his blue flames at those creatures.

But I didn't move from the spot. The odds are against Ember and Edwin—as there are four of those creatures. Ember might be a great warrior, but she is a Mage, and her powers are limited. Edwin can't tackle those warriors all by himself; he needs help.

Edwin was doing a good job in tackling the imposters—as they were not attacking us back. Instead, they were just dodging our attacks by running around in random directions. So what I heard about Incubus is true. They don't know how to fight. All they know is to party!

Soon the Incubus came back to their actual forms. I almost shouted when I saw them. I am not going to lie; they all were stunningly handsome with a tanned complexion. All of their shirts were unbuttoned, which revealed their gorgeous upper body.

Even though they were attractive, their facial expressions were ferocious. Their eyes glinted red whenever they glimpsed me. It sickened me to my core—as the eyes of an Incubus's eyes turn red only when it is lusty.

So when they were talking about the meal, they were actually referring to me. They are here to assault me! But they won't be able to do that. Edwin is going to defeat them all.

Or that is what I thought until Edwin's flames started to get dull. He is just wasting his energy now. No matter how much he aimed to strike them, they dodged the attacks easily. Incubus has supernatural speed; they can move from one spot to another in the blink of an eye.

While Edwin was wasting his energy, Ember was combating the tallest and most attractive Incubus. Even though Ember tried hard to attack him with her sword, he defeated her just by flirting with her.

"Come on, honey…. You know that you really don't want to fight with me. We can do the same thing in a different way," he mocked her.

Ember is usually not the typical girl who falls for handsome guys; she is a warrior by heart. She is the only girl I know who is capable of resisting the charms of Silver Shadow—but now, she is having a hard time dealing with the creature of lust.

Still, Ember wasn't giving up at all. She tightened the grip around her metallic sword and pointed it right to his throat. She was about to stab him, but she stood still when his eyes got scarlet again.

"You really don't want to do this, honey….. All you want is to be under me—" he said in a severe tone. And the worst thing was that Ember was reacting to it. She immediately dropped her sword down and knelt before him.

What is happening now? Why is she yielding to the creature of lust? Then I realized that Mages has a fragile mental shield. That's why she got manipulated by the Incubus quickly, even though she deep down wanted to resist his charms.

Then the Incubus took Ember's sword from the ground and glanced at me with its lusty red eyes. "Finally, I get the privilege of tasting the meal—"

I was frozen and moved a step back from the spot. "Celestia, run away now. Don't stay here for one more second. I will try to tackle them down—" I heard Edwin shout.

The feeling of disgust and dread forced me to run away from the spot immediately. I ran and ran into the darkness, even though I had no idea where I was going. I recalled Darius saying that this place is like a maze. I wondered how I would find my way back out of this wilderness.

I stopped right next to some random tree on my pathway as my legs defeated me. After a while, I started to feel guilty for leaving Ember and Edwin alone—but I had no other choice than this. I certainly don't want to become prey to those lusty creatures.

I struggled to figure out how the creatures of lust got here. Silver Shadow must not have sent them; he might be a demon, but he would never let any other man touch me. He had told me many times that—only he had the privilege to touch me.

Then I realized that the Incubus could never hurt me. Thanks to Silver Shadow, I am untouchable! Even if they try to touch me then, they will get knocked out. I was worried for nothing—and I left Ember and Edwin because of my thoughtlessness.

Perhaps I can go back there and rescue them! Since they can't touch me, I can easily defeat them by firing a couple of arrows at them. I looked around me and tried to find my way back to the spot.

But everything around me was dark. If only I had my flames now, then I would have been able to see everything. I clenched my fists in frustration and wondered why my powers were dead.

At that moment, I heard footsteps approaching me. Even though it was dark, I hid behind the tree and peeked in the direction of the noise.

"Where is she? I am starving now—" I heard one of them say from a distance.

"At least I should have taken that little Mage warrior girl. She was hot too, even though she was not the Dawn—" said another voice.

"Come on, guys! Our quest is to ravage the Dawn. Once we do that, we can get back to that Mage girl—"

I was so much sicked by their words. I wanted to throw up all the honey potion that I drank hours ago. But I can't make a noise and reveal my hiding place.

"Guys, I smell something over there! Something very pleasant like the flowers of summer. The Dawn must be over there."

"Yes, you are right! You are always an expert in following the scent of girl—"

A chill went down my bones and heart. They caught me! If I try to run now, they will still catch me as they are fast.

Perhaps I don't have to run anymore—as they can't touch me. I reminded myself that I was safe!

Still, when I heard the footsteps approaching near me, I started to shiver.
