Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 258 - Isn't A Mother's Love Enough?!

Amelia's POV:

We gifted Sirens are always blessed with abundant powers by the generous Moon Goddess. She gave us more alluring powers than the rest—and the most important power of us is to change the reality of someone entirely.

Since Theo was a stubborn child when he was little, Cynthia had to tame him sometimes with the help of her reality-altering power. Now she is going to do the same to him! I wondered what took her so long to do this.

As soon as the Siren Queen called me, I got up from my settee and ran towards her. Cynthia had her gaze fixed with Theo's eyes.

"Listen to me, Theo! You can burn down the lands anytime you want. But before that, tell me if you got enough to sleep last night—"

Theo started breathing heavily as he realized what she was trying to do. He clenched his fists tightly and said, "Stop doing this to me!"

The Queen didn't even blink her eyes.. Instead, the alluringness of her gaze got stronger than ever. Even I started to feel hypnotized when I stared at her pale blue eyes and listened to her mellifluous voice. I might be a gifted Siren, but even I don't have this much alluring power as she does.

"Amelia, do the deed," the Siren Queen reminded. I jolted up immediately and stared directly into Theo's eyes.

"Theodore, listen to the Queen. She is the mother who raised me," I said in a calmer and smoother tone than actually my usual tone.

"No....." he shouted. He wanted to disintegrate from the spot, but he couldn't do it as his mind was responding to the enchantment caused upon him. "You are not my mother! My actual mother died after she gave birth to me—"

The Queen was trying hard to conceal the hurt that was caused by his words. Despite that, she managed to put on a smile on her face and said, "I might not have given birth to you, Theo. But I raised you like my own son. I am a creature who can't have the gift of being a mother. But through you, I got to be a mother. You are a miracle to me, Theo—"

I realized that Cynthia was not lying at all this time. She is speaking out her heart here! I was a little melted to see the scene.

"I love you so much, Theo," Cynthia went on. "I love you even when you are stubborn and don't listen to me. You need to understand that my love for you is eternal—"

Now Theo got a little drowsy by hearing the voice of the Siren Queen. Soon he is going to break down!

He blinked his eyelashes rapidly and said, "You might love me, and I love you too! But I also love Celestia. You can't take her away from me—"

"Isn't the love of a mother enough for you, Theo?" Cynthia asked him, to which he shook his head.

"No, I also need Celestia! She is the love of my life —"

By now, Theo must have yielded to the Siren Queen. How come he is still resisting her? Cynthia got irritated and hurt after that. She poured her heart out, but still, her son wasn't acknowledging her.

"Fine," she said in a high tone. "Then I have no other choice than to alleviate you—"

"No.....," he shouted out. "Please don't do this to me!"

But the Siren Queen didn't show mercy to him after that. Her eyes started to glow bright blue like that of a Sapphire crystal. And her hair shone silver like that of the full moon. Her skin glowed like that of sea pearls, and now the Siren Queen was in her actual form.

I myself have not seen her original form more than twice or thrice. She refuses to show herself to others for some reason—but now I know why. She looks stunningly gorgeous, like Goddess Selene herself.

Whoever sees her in this form will definitely surrender to her, even if he is the Sun God Holy Aiden. But the Siren Queen never uses her true form unless it is a crisis.

The Queen burned him with her Sapphire blue gaze and shouted out, "Theodore, I command you to go in deep slumber unless I tell you to wake up—"

"Okay, mother," Theo responded immediately, and he fell to the floor before Cynthia. Only after that did Cynthia's hair stop glowing, and her eyes became normal blue again. She was still pretty, but that was nothing when compared to how she was before.

Then she turned to Ivory and me, who were dazed to our bones. "Put him in the room upstairs. And no one will try to wake him up unless I come up with a plan to tackle him—"

I just nodded and acknowledged what she said. But Ivory raised a question to the Queen. "But how exactly are we going to tackle him? When he wakes up, he is going to be a hell of a lot more frantic than before. Making him lie down in slumber is not a solution to the problem."

Cynthia stared down at her son, who was now sleeping peacefully for a while. Then she looked at us again and said, "Maybe we should give him what he wants for now. Only through that can we make him realize that what he desires is not really what he wants—"

"But what about the destruction era," I asked her.

Ivory blinked at both of us as she had no idea what the destruction era was. Suddenly, I felt special that I was the only one who knew this. The Siren Queen didn't even tell the truth to Ivory!

"The fates have once again proved to us that we can't trick them at all," the Queen said. "All we can do now is just do what seems right for the current situation."

"So we are going to make Celestia and Theo reunite?!" I exclaimed excitedly.

Finally, my dream came true!
