Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 260 - Desiring Someone Else's Lover

I didn't like the tone of the Siren Queen. Still, I wasn't able to deny her statements. Silver Shadow will really burn Edwin alive if what Cynthia said is true. But that is not the truth! Edwin is not in love with me. He sees me as a deity, just like the others do in this land.

"Everyone might be scared of that trickster, but not me," Edwin said to the Queen. "And I will do anything to protect Celestia from him—"

"Then consider that your end is near," the Queen replied. "And you might be in love with this Fae girl, but remember that Silver Shadow desires her a million times more than you. Unlike you, he waited a thousand years for her, and if someone is standing in his way, he will not hesitate to burn them—"

I immediately thought about the four Incubus who got burned down by his blazing red flames. He will definitely burn Edwin, just like that! I reminded myself that Edwin was not in love with me. He is not going to get hurt!

"Queen, you forget that the entire Celestial realm waited for her arrival for a thousand years," Edwin said boldly.. "The Fae King Oberon didn't even smile for once after she left! Even though the side of light was redeemed, there was no real happiness in this land until she arrived here again. And I won't let that trickster take away the happiness from our land again—"

The Queen was stunned by his explanation. "You Faes are really better at altering the truth than us Sirens," she said and confused me.

What is she saying? Sirens are the enchanters who trick and tempt everyone. She is blaming the Faes?!

Cynthia then looked at me and said, "You can't stay here forever, Celestia! Soon you will have to reunite with Theo. The sooner you make up your mind about this, the better for you—"

After saying that, she disappeared from my eyesight as mist. Only after she left did my pulse rate get back to normal. But Edwin still seemed anxious. I pitied the sweet guy! That evil Queen had purposely said fables about him to confuse me.

"Edwin, don't take her seriously," I said to him. "You are my friend, and I trust you—"

The blonde-haired sweet guy was still anxious. "Celestia…." he stammered. "What if….. what if….." Then he paused.

I lifted my eyebrows at him. Poor guy still seems traumatized!

"It's okay, Edwin," I comforted him. "You don't have to explain yourself. Just relax! And she is an evil Queen; she does this to everyone—"

"No, Celestia! It is just that," he hesitated. "What if I am really in love with you?"

I froze! So Cynthia was right?! No!!! It can't be true. Then why is Edwin talking like this? It took me a while to realize that Edwin was pulling a practical joke on me—as Laris does.

I started laughing at his joke while he was glaring at me hesitantly. "It is surprising to know that you can make jokes like Laris," I said while laughing.

"Of course, Celestia! It was a joke," Edwin chuckled nervously.

"I am not going to lie, Edwin! You almost had me at first," I said and stopped laughing. "And humor doesn't suit you much—"

"Of course, it doesn't—" Edwin sighed and looked down at the ground below him bleakly. Why is he still gloomy?! Perhaps he is not able to forget that insult. Since he is a man of character, he is not able to take it well when his character gets tainted.

I should do something to cheer him up from his grief. What can I do? I thought for a while before I came up with an idea.

"Edwin," I called him out while he still held his gaze on the ground. "Shall we go to the Northern mountains and eat Ruby berries?"

His face immediately brightened up. "Sure," he smiled. "I am ready to do anything and take you anywhere you ask—"

Why do I sense flirting in his tone? Then I realized that he was still mocking me.

"Come on, Edwin! Stop with the acting already—"

"Yes, it was just acting," he said and winked at me.

"Edwin, stop it! Silver Shadow could be lurking here—as Cynthia did a while ago—"

Edwin got altered immediately, and he started to scan the surroundings around him. Now it was my turn to laugh. "Even I can make practical jokes, Edwin—"

Amelia's POV:

It was not very pleasant to be in the same room with the mean girl. I was standing next to the window while she was seated in the blue settee. We both desperately waited for the Siren Queen to return to her chamber.

I am usually known as a cheerful girl by everyone in the realm. I always like to mingle with other people and enjoy life. But when Ivory is around me, I feel like all my energy gets drained out. She has such a cold personality! I hope that Cynthia gets here soon and acts as a buffer between us both.

It has been a while since she went to the Highlands, and she still had not returned. I hope that everything went well there! Celestia should come back here for the sake of Goddess Selene.

I shivered when I thought about Theo. He is lying down in the room upstairs. If he wakes up, then he would get frantic like a madman. Cynthia had promised me that he wouldn't wake up at least for a day, and that was the only thing that gave me relief. Cynthia can't make him sleep like this forever. So it is really necessary that Celestia gets back here before he wakes up.

Ivory got up from her seat when the air in the chamber got hazy. We both expected to see Celestia, but she wasn't there. Only the Siren Queen emerged from the mist.

Cynthia didn't have to explain to us to know what happened there. Celestia must have refused to come here. This is very disappointing! Soon dread formed in my heart. What are we going to do when Theo wakes up?

"This is unbelievable," Ivory blurted out and got closer to the Queen. "I thought that Celestia was still into Theo! But refused to come with you?"

"Yes, she did," the Queen said. "But her mind is not with her right now. The Faes are manipulating her constantly."

"Do you mean Oberon?" I asked the Queen. "He influenced Celestia more than others."

"Not just him! There is this blonde-haired Fae Warrior boy who is in love with Celestia, and he is stopping her from expressing her feelings—"

I tried hard to figure out who the blonde Fae warrior was. But Ivory seemed to know the answer for that.

"It is Edwin," she shouted. "And is he in love with Celestia?! How ridiculous is that?"

"It is so ridiculous of him," the Queen sighed. "And I also pity that boy! He is not going to live for long. Theo is definitely going to kill him."

"No," I shouted. "We should not say this to Theo! He doesn't have to know about this."

"Are you seriously taking his side?" Ivory asked me.

"Not at all," I replied. "But what I am trying to say is, it is natural for someone to have feelings for someone else. We all tend to get attracted to nice personalities. And Celestia is an Angel. Who will not get attracted to her?"

Both of them grunted as I praised Celestia. I still don't get why they hate Celestia. Ivory might have her reasons for that. She is in love with Theo, and she gets hurt that Theo chose Celestia. But what is the deal with the Siren Queen? Celestia did nothing bad to her!

"I am just saying that it is unnecessary for that Fae warrior to die just because he loves someone. And loving someone is not sin! It is just a feeling—"

"Enough with the philosophy," the mean girl Ivory said. "He knows that Celestia is destined for Theo; still, he desires someone else's lover. How shameful is that?"

"Ivory," I chucked slightly. "Theo belongs to someone else too! He belongs to Celestia; still, you desire him, don't you? So will it be fair to you if Celestia kills you for desiring Theo?"

I tied up her tongue with my question. She was horrified! Usually, I feel terrible when I hurt someone. But hurting Ivory feels good! She totally deserves this!

"Okay, that is enough," the Siren Queen interrupted our argument. "Remember that Siren girls don't betray or fight with each other—"

"I am not fighting with her," I screamed. "I am just giving her the taste of her own medicine—"

"Just look at her, Queen! Look how mean she is," Ivory sobbed and started faking tears in her eyes. "I think that she is jealous of me that I am a better warrior than her."

"And I think that she is jealous of me that I am better looking than her," I snapped.

I am not going to be silent today and take abuse from this mean girl!
