Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow
Chapter 280 - Please Forgive Me, Theo
Celestia's POV:
Theo rested his head on my lifeless corpse, and his hands were clasped over mine. For an extended period, he told me to wake up from slumber, but I didn't. Suddenly, a strong hand grabbed his deep brown hair and dragged him away from my corpse.
It was Father Oberon! He pushed Theo to the grassy ground and glared down at him viciously. "Are you happy now, trickster? You have destroyed her!"
Theo slowly got up from the ground and knelt before the Fae King. He had his head down, and he didn't try to defend himself at all. He seemed to be ready to accept whatever punishment the King was about to give him.
But Father Oberon didn't leave him alone even after Theo had surrendered to him. He continued to abuse him verbally.
"You took away her purity and spoiled her! She was born here for a noble cause, but you made her your sex slave! Aren't you a little guilty of your actions?!"
The people around them let out a gasp. They all believed the words of the Fae King, and they started to speak ill of Theo among themselves. But poor Theo wasn't defending himself even when everyone around him was falsely accusing him of something that he didn't do.
"Say something, trickster! Say that you are guilty of your actions. There is the slightest chance that you will be forgiven in hell if you do that," Oberon yelled at him.
"My love is gone…." Theo blurted slowly. "Please kill me too…."
I watched the scene while weeping uncontrollably. I can't see this anymore! But Amelia's hand pressed my shoulder and insisted that I keep on watching the scene. The next few minutes were even more difficult to watch.
The entire crowd chanted, "Burn the trickster! Burn the trickster!"
At least now Theo should defend himself—but he didn't. Oberon admired the chanting of the crowd and smirked a little.
"Do you hear that Silver Shadow? Everyone is asking me to burn you! Can I go ahead and do that?"
Theo didn't give him a reply. He was in a total self-destruct mode! I have never seen him like this. He is usually bold and spontaneous. Never once did I remember him yielding to others.
"He loved you so much, Celestia," Amelia said while watching the scene with me. "When you died, he too died along with you—"
I gritted my teeth not to sob more than I was already doing. Amelia held my hand to give me some comfort. Even though it wasn't enough, it did give me a little strength to keep on watching the scene.
"I won't let you die, Silver Shadow," Oberon roared. "You can't die easily as Dawn did. For all the sins you committed, you should suffer! So I am going to throw down the abyss of torment. The Anti-Angels will take very good care of you. They will give you the kind of death that you deserve—"
Now the crowd chanted something different. "Throw him down the abyss! Throw him down the abyss!"
Only then did I realize how insensitive my people are. Without knowing the entire story, they are targeting an innocent man. But it is not their fault either. Father Oberon is the sinner here. He is the one who killed hundreds of Faes and pinned the blame on Theo. He made me feel guilty and killed me too! Now he is destroying Theo.
So whatever these Siren say to me is right. Theo is really innocent! He really loves me, and he is always watching out for me. But my so-called father tricked me. He tricked everyone in this realm. He is the sinner! I stopped crying after that as horror filled my heart. Why would Father Oberon do this? Why? What is his motive?!
The scene stopped right after that, and the mirror got blank again. Amelia grabbed the mirror from my hand and looked down at me. "Listen to me, Celestia! Now you have everything that you need to know. So I request you not to hurt Theo anymore. He loves you a lot and just loves him back a little! Even your little love is enough for him—"
I wiped my tears with the blanket I was clutching in my hand and said, "Why is my father doing this? Can you show me that in this mirror?"
She shook her head. "No, Celestia! We can't see things like that in this mirror. This mirror can show us everything, but the Moon Goddess instructed us only to use it to know the truth. If we try to see something for our own gain, then this mirror will break itself, and it will be destroyed."
"But I do want to know the truth about my father! What is his motive?"
She sighed. "You can ask Theo about that. He knows more about Oberon than he knows himself."
"Okay, "I blurted. Then I realized the huge mistake that I had made for this long. Theo is not my Villain! He is my guardian angel. He told me in my head not to jump in the fire, but I ignored his words. He told me not to trust my father, but I didn't.
Even yesterday, I had yelled at him, believing that he was my enemy. How much would he have been hurt?! I started weeping again when I pictured his hurt filled eyes. The Siren Queen was right! I am bad for him.
"No, Celestia! You are good for him. Can you please stop crying now?"
"But I hurt him! I am bad. I don't deserve him."
She gave me a hug and patted my back. "Stop being hard on yourself, Celestia. This is not your fault. You were manipulated by your father. Even I would have done the same thing if I was in your place."
"Really?" I gasped and looked up at the Siren girl. "So, do you think that Theo will forgive me?"
"Are you crazy? Do you think that Theo will ever get mad at you? He loves you like a madman. Even if you stab him in his heart, he will never get mad at you—"
I was convinced a little after that. Theo will forgive me. He has to! I hope he does.
"I want to see him," I said and wiped my tears with my blanket again. "I want to see Theo now! Please take me to him."
"But he is in the Highlands now!"
"Then take me there! I want to see him. Or else I would not be able to free myself from this guilt—"
"Okay, calm down!" She patted my hair again. "I will send a message to Theo. He will be here soon. Can you do me a favor and don't cry in front of him?"
I am not allowed to cry?! But I am guilty. How can I not cry for the mistake I made?!
"Celestia, please, I am begging you! Theo told me not to say this truth to you. Because he knew that you would be affected by this, he didn't want you to feel guilty or make you sad. But I showed this to you as I wasn't able to bear with you anymore."
I let out a sigh. "But if you hadn't shown me this, then I forever would have thought that Theo is the Villain!"
"Exactly," she agreed. "But Theo was so much focused on not making you feel guilty. He would rather take the blame instead of hurting you—"
"But I would have gotten even more hurt if he had hidden this from me forever."
"Well, let us just assume that Theo loses his intelligence when it comes to you."
I just smiled at her through the blurriness of tears in my eyes. "I will try not to cry before him. But can you please take me to Theo—"
"No! You stay right here, and he will come here to you."
She clutched the mirror of candor in her hand and ran out of the room, leaving me alone.

The night fell on the deep blue sea of the Selene. The land shone brightly even though there was just a crescent moon in the sky. The view was nice, but my mind didn't adore them. I was impatiently waiting for Theo to arrive.
Amelia told me that I shouldn't have to apologize to Theo, but I think that I should do it. He had waited for a thousand for me, and he must have undergone a lot more suffering in the abyss of torment. But I just hurt him by believing the words of my father. I felt like I should slap myself!
"No, my love! Please don't do something like that," said an Angelic voice.
I immediately ran to him and wrapped my arms around him. "Theo, I am really sorry! You are my guardian angel, but I thought that you were my Villian."
Theo wasn't pleased with my apology. Instead, he was just frowning at me.
"Why would she tell you the truth?" he roared and scared me.
