Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Oberon wasn't able to stop staring at the beauty that was lying next to him. She was incredible and she is what he would call the epitome of beauty. She was even better than the Siren girl Sapphire! Slowly he was able to see himself falling in love with her. 'No! This can't be happening' he shuddered.

Love is not something he desires! Love is temporary but the power is permanent. And he will do anything and everything to stay in power even if it means that he would have to kill the beauty who was gracefully lying next to him. 

Again he took a peek at her and cursed the fur blanket that was covering her naked body. He wanted to pull away from the blanket and take her again on the bed. But he also wanted to maintain his dignity until he got what he want from her. He reminded himself that power is all he needs more than anything else. 

He slowly got down from the mattress and put on his clothes with a heavy heart. Sometimes it sucked to be a King for him. He didn't have the luxury to do the things he liked most of the time—as he was supposed to act nobly in front of his subjects. Or else how would the people believe him? It was always a challenging task for him to maintain his mask. And his biggest challenger was his son that was born out of mistake!

He wanted to kill him the moment he was born—but he wasn't able to do it as the Siren Queen rescued him. He got another opportunity to destroy him when he was a kid, but again he escaped. Now he has gone stronger and has become a bigger threat to me. He regretted not doing anything about this when the boy was young! And now he is allied with the Serpents to destroy his son. 

Anyway, today he is going to finish what he had started years ago. He is going to make the prophecy of the ancients come true. He got relaxed a little when he realized that his son is not going to live for long. He will be dead soon and there will be no threat to him!

Lyra woke up soon after that and she too got dressed in her seductive semi-transparent outfit. Oberon still wasn't able to take her eyes off her-and she didn't care about being watched. She smiled internally and continued to brush her frizzed-up green hair. 

Usually, the Fae King is cold and ruthless to everyone. He never smiles at his subjects or let alone loses his guard to any pretty girl. But he had fallen in her trap just like he wanted him to be! She too desired power just like Oberon! Ever since she was a kid, she desired to become a Queen. She wasn't a peasant like another girl. She was the princess of the Serpent land. 

But sadly, girl children can't inherit the throne. Her brother Lary would be the one to rule the Serpent land after her father. And she wasn't able to digest that fact! She envied her brother so much and sometimes she even planned on killing him on various occasions. 

Her twin sister Leah was the one who stopped her from doing that sin. She advised her that killing Lary will not give her the throne. The Serpent King was reluctant to make only his male child as the King. So even if she kills Lary, her father would mate with his mistresses until he gets a male heir and only that male kid will become the King. 

She had even thought of killing her father who had such a ridiculous rule in his kingdom. Cause Lary was a worthless man! He knows nothing except to have sex with multiple girls and sleep. He has never once completed a quest successfully in his life. But Lyra was the one who carried out all the quests on behalf of her brother. 

She had killed countless numbers of her father's enemies and protected her kingdom many times. But the credit for that task always went to her useless brother! She is like a ghost warrior who does the work of the imposter warrior! 

Lyra soon got sick of her life. She wanted appreciation for everything that she does! Not getting credit for her deeds frustrated her to her core. And that is when Oberon got in her life! At first, she didn't trust this man. She thought that he was misleading her. 

But very soon, she got to know about the real him. And she was so much inspired by him! He is everything that she ever wanted to be. He was strong, powerful, cunning, calculative, and perfect at the same time. She was amazed how he made a fool of everyone in the Celestial realm. 

Soon she decided that this man was the man she wanted! She desired to be his Queen and stand by his side powerfully. This man was her answer! She wanted to impress this man!

Lyra knew that this man too desires her just as she desires him. Yet, she didn't give in to him at first. She wanted to play around so that his desire for her would grow stronger. And it did! He wants her badly now. 

For now, she is going to act as if their quest is more important. She is not going to cling on to him like a desperate damsel in distress! Once the quest is completed, she is going to make him beg for her. And after that, they both will be united and rule this entire realm! Ever since she stepped into this realm, she realized that this land needs a Queen. And who could be better than her for this?! 

Once Lyra was done with her hair, she moved near the King and smiled at him. "It is time for the awakening of you..." she reminded him of the quest that they were going to begin shortly.
