Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow
Chapter 54 - Punish Me And Teach Me A Lesson..
Celestia's POV:
Theo closed the door behind him after I entered the artifacts room. The map of the Celestial realm was still spread out in the center table. It looks like Arcadia and Theo had a very long discussion about the war. I came here late and missed most of their conversation.
Theo raised the sleeves of his silver robe and looked at me. "Come on, Celestia. Spill everything out to me. What has been bothering you so much that you have to cry secretly?" he questioned me.
I took a deep breath before I began my confession. What if he doesn't take this well and reprimands me for turning against him? But my heart told me that he would never harm me.
The only way I can know how he will react is by telling him the truth! I have no other choice than this.
I began my confession. "When I got hit by the arrow, I saw some things. I got the realization that I was under an enchantment. But I ignored that fact completely until Daviana told me the truth about you. Are you really trying to delude me in the name of love?" I said and looked away from him as I did not dare to meet his eyes.
"So you chose to believe Daviana over me?" Theo asked me.
"No, I didn't want to believe her. But she told me that I was hit by an arrow which was dipped in Unicorn's blood. So..... I thought that..... maybe..... you are tricking me. Because Unicorn's blood has the power to heal everything and break off all illusions."
Theo didn't reply to me after that. Perhaps he is going to acknowledge his wrongdoings to me. I finally decided to look at him.
His green eyes were filled with hurt and sadness. "I never thought that you would doubt me like this. How can you not trust me, Celestia? If someone bad-mouths me to you, you will believe them instead of me?"
I expected that he would admit his mistakes to me by now. But he was acting all innocent, and he is defending himself even now? Is he deceiving me again? If so, then why do his words sound like facts to me?
"Celestia, my love. Your friends are deceiving you again. They are coming up with new plans like this to separate me and you. Why are you not able to see that? I thought that you were wise enough not to fall for your friend's lies," Theo said.
I understand what he is doing here. Now he is just shifting the blame onto my friends! But I am not going to fall for this.
"How do you say that you are innocent? I don't understand you, Theo!" I challenged him with my question.
My question made him sigh. "You do realize that the Unicorn's blood can be deformed into making counterspells, don't you? That lame prince Darius is using these tricks to separate us both. And I can't believe you fell for that one."
Theo was right! Unicorn's blood can be used to make reverse spells too. Perhaps I wasn't hit by an Arrow of Truth. It could be an arrow of Delusion! But still, I was extremely confused. Whom should I have to believe? Either of them could be lying!
"My Sweetness, are you clear now?" Theo asked me.
I shook my head again as I was still dazed. "I just don't want to do this anymore, Theo."
He furrowed his brows in confusion and moved closer to me. "I don't get what you just said. What don't you want to do anymore?" he questioned me again.
"I don't want to be the Queen of the Celestial Realm," I shouted out loud, which made him flinch. "And I don't want you to be the King either! We are hurting a lot of souls because of our ambition. No one in the Highlands wants us, and it is best if we give up. Why do we have to be the reason for someone's misery?"
All those words came out of my mouth like fire! Well, I always wanted to say this out loud. "I don't want to be the Queen. I just want my people to be safe," I went on with my confession. "I was happy when I was just a Fathomless warrior. But this pursuit of ruling the Kingdom is making me and everyone around me miserable!"
Theo waited patiently for me to complete my justification. "If you don't want me to be the King, then I give up. Because I see now that my desire has been the reason for your suffering. So I am not going to wage war against the Highland Faes until I get your approval," Theo said.
I blinked twice to confirm if I heard it for real. "Are you.... serious?" I cried out.
Theo cupped my face with his hands and said, "Nothing is more important to me than you, Celestia. Before I met you, my goal was to become the King. But everything changed after I saw you. You eventually became the one thing I desire the most. So if you ask me to give up on my dream of becoming the King, then I am willing to do that in a heartbeat."
My heart melted after I heard his justification. Theo loves me! He desires me just the way I do him. He is not deceiving or manipulating me. He loves me so much that he is willing to give up his dream of becoming the King!
So it is evident now that my friends are the ones who are tricking me here. They hit me with a reverse spelled arrow which was dipped in Unicorn's blood and messed with my sanity! This time they almost managed to turn me against Theo! I am never going to forgive them for this.
"I am sorry, Theo. I should have never believed the lies of my friends. From now on, I will never doubt you," I blurted out, hoping that he would forgive me.
Theo took his hands off my face, and he strode away from me. "I am so hurt by you, Celestia. Do you have any idea how much it hurts when the person you love the most does not trust you? If you had told me about this earlier, I would not have gotten hurt this much. But you kept the truth from me! After all, we have been through, why don't you trust me enough to say out your feelings."
I began to feel incredibly guilty. "Theo, I am sorry. I didn't really mean it."
But Theo still seemed to be gloomy. "Please remember, Celestia. Your wishes are my commands. I will do anything for you," he said, and then he turned away from me.
Is he going to leave me without accepting my apology? I held Theo's sturdy arm and stopped him. "But you still didn't forgive me," I cried.
"Celestia, please leave me alone for a while. I need some time to heal my heart which has been wrecked so hard by you," Theo announced.
He is probably going to make me cry again by making me feel even more guilty. I stood in front of him and blocked his way. "Please forgive me already! What should I do to make you forgive me?"
"I am sorry, but I can't forgive you today," Theo snapped at me. "I am not even mad that you fell into the trap laid down by your friends. I am so furious that you broke the promise again even after I punished you for that. You told me that you would never cry, but still, I found you lying on the bed among a pile of white pearls."
The guilt reached its peak. "Theo, please forgive me for one last time. I will never repeat this."
But he was still giving me icy glares. Why is he so stubborn now?
"I don't think you value my feelings, Celestia. I repeated to you many times before that you can rely on me for all your eternity. That is the only thing I ask you to do. But you never keep up your promise," Theo said and walked to the door.
I finally realized how Theo felt. I have been so terrible to him!
"Theo, wait," I screamed out. "Please punish me for this!"
He stopped on his heels and turned to me. "What?!!" he shouted.
"Yes, Theo," I responded. "Please punish me and teach me a lesson again. Please punish me so that I will never hurt you again like this. I clearly need to learn a lesson."
Theo then grinned at me, which was more like an evil smirk.
