Forsaken By Love

Chapter 104 - Heavy Artillery

"Group two, standby," Wen Sihan's voice was low and his nerves were taut. He and Lu Nanfeng were standing in the middle of a deserted industrial business park, where Mo Yunhuang had gathered all his men. The base where he had kept He Lixue captive had previously been destroyed by Lu Nanfeng and Wen Sihan.

Mo Yunhuang had spies in Wen Sihan's group of people, and Wen Sihan similarly had people who worked for Mo Yunhuang, and to avoid anyone knowing what had happened, they had all gathered at Wen Sihan's base, left their phones, and moved out.

The plan that the men had been informed about was to fight another place in the capital city, but after they had handed in their phones, they were told the true location.

The faces of some of the people present paled, but they had no chance to warn Mo Yunhuang as their phones had been taken, and if they displayed their betrayal, the only result would be their death.

Under cover of the night, a whole entourage of military vehicles was driving towards the deserted factory buildings on the orders of Wen Sihan.

Lu Nanfeng and Wen Sihan were the first to arrive, and they observed their surroundings with a solemn expression on their faces. Initially, Lu Nanfeng should not have been involved personally in this battle, but he wished to see the man who had saved He Lixue before; he wanted to see who it was that tried to control every aspect of her life, who wanted to capture her, and keep her like a bird in a cage.

Just thinking about it was enough to make Lu Nanfeng livid with anger, and he was not relieved unless he personally saw the ending of Mo Yunhuang.

Although he had been an outstanding and upright businessman for all his life, he was still human. He understood that sometimes you had to stand up for what you believe in, and that even if he was against violence and murder, some people could not be dealt with in any other way.

Wen Sihan had not been in the country for long, but he had already managed to get his hands on connections with the police, and when they heard that two oversea syndicates were fighting it out in their district, they quickly decided to stay out of it.

They had also sent people to observe and ensure that the battle did not leave the area where they had said that they would fight, and they did not take the fight to the side of the innocent.

The sound of car tires driving over gravel could be heard as the cars slowly drove into the factory's parking lot. There were hundreds of vehicles and thousands of people; it could not ever be reenacted, and Wen Sihan had truly gone all out. Even the current pressure they were putting on Mo Yunhuang in his own country had been temporarily lessened so that they could put him down once and for all.

Suddenly, just as the last person left the car, the voice of Mo Yunhuang rang through the grounds, "I had not expected you to be so alert," he said. "You even went so far as to give false information to your men, and lure us to another location."

"Cut the chatter, come forward, and let's end this!" Wen Sihan was much more hotblooded than Mo Yunhuang, he was excited when he heard Mo Yunhuang's voice, but Lu Nanfeng felt that something was wrong, and his eyebrows furrowed.

"Move!" he called out, and everyone began running towards the factory without questioning the orders.

Lu Nanfeng himself ran away from the cars as soon as he could, and Wen Sihan was stunned, but his acute sense of danger made him run too.

Moments after, a resounding explosion sounded out, and the vehicles they had driven here were blown apart in a gigantic explosion. Parts from the remnant cars were being shot in every direction like projectiles. Some were killed on the spot, while others sustained varying degrees of injury.

Wen Sihan and Lu Nanfeng both had ugly expressions on their faces as they gathered the remaining people. Luckily they had been quite fortunate and they did not lose too many men. Seven had died, while thirty were more or less injured.

"Let us move forward, but be on high alert," Wen Sihan said, his expression grave, and all the hotbloodedness from before gone.

They were aware that the battle they were about to fight out was not as simple as they had hoped, but they had been prepared for him to put up some traps. This was his base after all, and since the previous one was destroyed so easily, it would only make sense to barricade himself like a porcupine.

They left the parking lot and went towards the entrance of the factory building. Instead of going to open the door manually, Wen Sihan waved his hand, and a man with heavy artillery stepped forward.

A small missile was sent towards the door, and yet another explosion sounded out from the collision. The door exploded, and a gaping hole was leading into the building.

The complex of buildings was, once upon a time, used as a factory for medicine. It was a large factory, consisting of multiple buildings, and they had entered the first of the buildings, the one where there would once have been an office space and a reception area, alongside a delivery space for post, and so on.

The sight that greeted them, after looking through the gaping hole that was once a door, was a myriad of people who served Mo Yunhuang.

Their facial expressions were taut, and their bodies tense. They were all wielding guns and aiming them at Wen Sihan and his men.

"Fire another missile!" Wen Sihan barked out his order, not caring about the number of deaths he would cause with this order, and the man who had been carrying the heavy artillery did not hesitate to shoot out a missile that landed on the ground in their midst, exploding with a red flame, and shooting debris everywhere.
