Forsaken By Love

The many people who had been trash-talking He Lixue before were suddenly stumped and silent, while those who had observed on the sidelines were clamoring for justice.

Everyone knew that He Lixue had been in a coma for quite a long time, and rumors had it that she had ended up with Lu Nanfeng as soon as she had left the sanitorium, hence, all those who had a semblance of a brain knew that she had no chance to be together with old men. In fact, why would anyone be unfaithful to Lu Nanfeng who was such a catch, to be with old men who were not even richer than him? 

When thinking about it with rational thought, everyone knew that these rumors were created by He Huiling to destroy He Lixue's reputation, and those who had previously enjoyed scolding He Lixue suddenly felt cheated and turned around to bite He Huiling in embarrassment. 

He Lixue was coldly observing how the online trend was changing, and how the people who had previously scolded her were now turning around to unleash their anger on He Huiling. 

She had misled them, and they felt as if they had been cheated. Not to mention they suddenly felt that they were rather unintelligent, and thus they were extremely angry.

When they were scolding He Lixue it was merely because they found it fun, and because they felt she was too disgusting, but now they were feeling hurt, so their words were much more serious and ruthless.

At the same time, He Lixue had no intention of letting He Huiling off so easily, so she contacted some paparazzi who specialized in the entertainment industry.

He Huiling was not amongst the most famous people in the entertainment industry. However, she was still a well-known figure, and knowing that she had used such underhanded means against her cousin would, without a doubt, be an exciting piece of news to expose to the world.

Even more so because He Lixue did not ask for any payment, but just delivered lots of information to the paparazzi. He then hurried onto his social media platforms, where he published the news.

This paparazzi was quite a bigshot in the industry, so as soon ast he published it, many saw it. 

It only took around ten minutes before the post was noticed by many who were part of the entertainment industry. While the stars would not directly repost this, many of the netizens were not against commenting with their own opinions, and multiple voices erupted online.

Previously the He family had been high on the hot search, because of the news of He Lixue, and them stealing all her wealth, so now, when the news came out about He Huiling trying to ruin He Lixue's reputation, the old news naturally came up again. 

He Huiling was aware that the university forum had changed sides, and that people were scolding her, but when she realized that the news had been broken to the rest of the entertainment circle, her eyes turned dark and full of anger. 

She did not need to think too much that the one who was behind this was He Lixue. She had truly underestimated her. 

Gritting her teeth in anger, He Huiling went to find Jiang Jinnan. She wanted him to help her retract the news. She knew that if she met her father, he would scold her, so she wanted to spend her fiance's money to pay the paparazzi to take down the news.

Unfortunately, Jiang Jinnan remembered how He Huiling had looked at Lu Nanfeng. He was not a dumb person; he was aware that he was currently only a spare tire for He Huiling, so why would he spend money to help her? 

When He Huiling found that she could not get through on the phone to Jiang Jinnan, she was fuming with anger. 

"What a useless man," she muttered to herself. "He is never good for anything."

Her brows were furrowed, and her mood was horrible. 

She had no choice but to go to her father's main office. As she entered his office, she saw that his expression was dark, and his mood turbulent. 

"What a good daughter I have," he sneered. "You did not consider that when you insult He Lixue now, you are causing problems with Lu Nanfeng? Even if he does not love her, making rumors about her putting a green hat on his head is enough to make him angry!"

He Huiling was feeling wronged, her lips were tightly pursed, and her eyes were red with unshed tears. 

"I just want to tear them apart, so that I can marry Lu Nanfeng instead," she protected herself. "although Jiang Jinnan is not a bad catch, he is nothing compared to Lu Nanfeng."

"I understand that," He Weiling sighed. "But you have to consider the fact that He Lixue is currently connected with Lu Nanfeng. It would be better to have a good relationship with her so that you can get close to him, and maybe even that as a chance to scheme against him."

"I can not be friendly to He Lixue!" He Huiling growled. "I hate her; she has always been so high and mighty, acting like such a good little girl. Just looking at her makes me feel nauseous."

He Weiling looked at his daughter and sighed. She was truly spoiled. She could not handle pretending, even if the reward was big, she just wanted to reap the benefits, and this was a troublesome situation.

But He Weiling began considering how to deal with He Lixue, and to make He Huiling take over her position as Lu Nanfeng's lover. 

He wanted his daughter to be with Lu Nanfeng so that he was the one who benefitted from his business that was expanding at a rapid pace. 

It was not only the He family who paid attention to what was happening, but Lu Nanfeng was also paying attention, and he finally decided to act. 

He had promised He Lixue that he would not be the one who suppressed He Weiling, but seeing that the rumors also had a bad influence on him, he was going to exert some pressure on the He Corporation.
