From Dusk till Dawn!

At 4:00 am:

"Mo Yuhan, do you like me?" From the moment, they soaked in a warm bath together to this moment where he was putting her on the bed, before tucking her inside the blankets, this question spilled from her lips for the umpteenth time.

However, unlike the previous times when he did not respond to it, this time he got inside the blanket before pulling her closer, spooning her in his arms, "I married you, Lili."

Her eyes were heavy-lidded, as she struggled to keep them open, her lips slightly puckered up, wanting to hear the confession that has slipped out of his mouth countless times today. "Y-You married me because I seduced you to," she slurred.

'What a fool!' As if he'd be seduced by every woman out there who would want to marry him.

She glared at him even as drowsiness washed over her in his warm embrace.

He pressed his lips on her forehead, "I love you," He whispered, his blue eyes shining like the brightest stars one would ever chance upon.

"What a coincidence… I love you too.." She mumbled nuzzling her face in the nape of his neck.

He smiled tucking the tresses of her hair behind her ear before placing her head on the pillow. He turned around before moving to the other side of the bed to turn off the lights but just as he grabbed the small remote from the bedside table, something caught his attention.

That was his phone that was flashing non-stop. He pushed himself up from the bed before picking it up, his eyes darkened the moment he saw the caller ID.

"This is the contract you expect me to sign? Have a look at this… Are all these statements making sense to you? Cancel all these projects, I'm not investing or collaborating with any of them," She swiped all the files from her desk that crashed on the floor, right below her Secretary's feet.

Si Xiu bowed, "President, that is not completely profitable for us either. Maybe we can give them a chance to rectify their mistakes."

Tang Li squinted, twirling the crystal paper-weight in her hand.

Si Xiu bit her lips, she knew that the woman she was working under, was impatient at this moment. She could deduce it by her actions, despite her calm façade. Still, she tried her best to be a diligent secretary, "The directors and shareholders…"

Tang Li chuckled, interrupting her sentence. The smile was ever so beautiful but there was no mirth in it…Horrifying right? That's exactly how Si Xiu felt at this moment.

She had seen many sides of this moody woman ever since she joined Ash Corporation but there was something different about today, there was a darkness enshrouding her. Somehow, she felt that this was the demoness CEO that the employees talked about.

"I'm the CEO here and what I say, goes."

Si Xiu bowed her head trying to ignore the chill in the woman's voice, she picked up the files from the floor before walking out of the office. One more second here, and she could go nuts. There were no many people in her life whom she feared yet respected except for her uncle but now she was adding her boss to that list.

Tang Li stood up from the swivel chair before walking towards the couch in the corner of her office. She sighed as her body fell on the couch, her head was leaning back as she covered her eyes with her hand, covering the light.

It was her birthday today. Not that she partied all night on this day or had any other sorts of extravagant celebrations, but she has always loved her birthday ever since she was a kid. Maybe when everyone expressed their love and care, she felt happy.

Today was no exception. Her brother had called her to wished a happy birthday and as much as she knew the man, he must be planning some sort of surprise, and even her sister-in-law, Mo Jia is involved in that.

Her grandfather also called, the old man is having lots of fun in Singapore and he does not seem to want to come back at all. Her best friends, both Lin Shi and Ying Yue have already wished her, she also received a call from Mark who was grumbling about not being able to come back to meet her because of the upcoming fashion show.

Master Song and Grandpa Song have already wished her and they said they would be visiting her in the evening.

While Lin Shi is on a business trip, Ying Yue seemed to be planning something for her birthday. 

Mo Zihan has left for S City already and it surprised her that Ying Yue decided to stay behind considering their new relationship. As much as she knew that, couples always cling to each other in the honeymoon period of their relationship. Her mood soured down at the thought of it.

She glanced at the ring in her ring finger, under the bright lights in her office room, it emitted rays of various colors if she noticed closely. It was like a beautiful rainbow. The more she looked at it, the more she felt depressed instead.

It was supposed to be her best birthday because she was with Mo Yuhan, only she knew how contended she had been yesterday night. The man had not given her some exquisite gift with a beautiful bow sitting on the top, he knew this was not what she ever desired. Everything that he did was special for her, in fact, he was the most special gift for her.

But when she woke up in the morning, everything felt like a dream. Like it never existed as if it was a part of her imagination, if not for the ring on her finger and the untouched chocolate cake in the living room, if not for the messy couch, if not for the painting that was lying on the floor instead of hanging on the wall, she would have started thinking if it was just a wet dream and she was just being lusty.
