From Dusk till Dawn!

Tang Li felt frustration all over in her mind as she looked at the men walking towards Si Xiu, who was standing there quietly, her doe eyes seemed a little curious. 

'We are weak women with meager strength,' Si Xiu has uttered the exact sentence to her inside the maze. Did it mean she had dragged an innocent in all this mess?

She wanted to save her but there was a large distance between them while she was surrounded by men who made a human barrier around her.

They were pointing their guns at her, while she stood there making no moves.

"Catch that woman fast," The man behind her shouted when they noticed that Si Xiu seemed to have an impact on her.

Taking advantage of their slight distraction, Tang Li twirled around, her steps swifter than before as she shifted the gun to her left hand.

Raising her right leg, she spun around in a circle like a professional dancer, her boots pressing on their weak points while she attacked the man who was standing on her left with the nozzle of her gun.

"Fuck, this bitch!" The man who was kicked in his crotch winced before cursing Tang Li.

'Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!'

Tang Li shot them dead the moment they made moves to touch her again.

They were all mercenaries and it would not have been possible for her to defeat them if they hadn't taken her so lightly. Luckily, she had a few tricks up her sleeves.

She glanced at the pistol in her hand with a complicated expression on her face.

Killing people was not her forte, it was the first time she did it. Maybe because they were standing too close to her which made it possible for her to aim easily; she tried to believe her ridiculous excuse.

"AHHH! FUCK!!" Tang Li's eyes widened when she heard the sound. She tilted her only to find three men rolling on the floor and wailing loudly with their bloodied faces, looking like pigs waiting to be slaughtered.

Li Yu was trying to deal with the men who were dead set on killing him. He was injured, fighting with so many people without assistance was not easy but he managed to finish them off.

But right now, he wanted to save the innocent woman who had insisted on tagging along with them.

Despite his dislike towards Tang Li, he was not biased or pig-headed to disregard her innocent secretary's life.

But what was happening right now upturned his world view in a few minutes. He strangled the mercenary that was trying to launch a sneak attack, before shooting the two men lying among the dead bodies, pretending to be dead.

He was trained enough to see through their pretense by sensing their movements.

The mercenaries who desperately wanted to protect themselves never expected to get caught like this.

They were told only the man was an expert and it did not bother them because they were more than a hundred. Who would have expected Li Yu to butcher them like chickens? 

The man was like a god of war who alone battled with more than a hundred mercenaries. Just when they thought, he was getting exhausted, two women popped out of the maze, one of them being their main target. 

They thought catching Tang Li would be easy since she did not have an ounce of strength in her, her expertise was mentioned to be business. But behind the beautiful face of hers, she had hidden her battle pretty well.

Then they thought they could take the other woman as their hostage since she looked like an innocent lamb. But she was even crazier than the other two...

Si Xiu kicked the man away before pushing him to the ground. She stepped on his chest, digging her high heels so hard as if she was trying to pierce through his flesh. "You bastard… How dare you step on my toenail. I had gotten it pedicured two weeks back…" Her grievous expression nearly made the man puke blood.

When she was dealing with the other two men, this man had approached her from behind but just as she turned around, in his haste, he had stepped on her baby toe while trying to get her as the hostage to tame Li Yu and Tang Li.

Si Xiu looked at her little toenail that was bleeding, her eyes narrowing into slits. As a woman, she did not like it a single bit when someone tried to tamper with her beauty.

A malicious smile made its way to her lips as she shifted the position of her heels, moving it from atop the man's chest to his throat. "Go die," A murderous expression flashed on her face as she watched the man's body convulsing on the floor due to breathlessness, he held her leg with both his hand but the woman's leg seemed to have made of iron as she did not budge an inch.

His eyes rolled back as he took his last breath.

Si Xiu's lips curved up, "Easy-peasy," She murmured looking at the dead man before looking back at the gun in her hand. A pity that she was not able to use it.

No bother. She could use it next time. She stopped fiddling with the gun as she noticed the dead silent atmosphere. Is the battle over already? 

Her eyes sparkled with a child-like curiosity as she raised her head only to find Tang Li and Li Yue standing there with a dumbfounded expression on their faces, surrounded by dead bodies.

She stiffened. The bloodlust on her face draining off almost instantly, she raised her hand to adjust the large glasses on her eyes, trying to maintain her 'best secretary' image.

Her large doe eyes were widened as she opened her mouth to speak, "President, I was so scared earlier…" She almost let out a cry when Tang Li glanced at her with a blank and emotionless gaze, different from the way she had behaved with her before.

Li Yu: "_"

Scared? You choke a person to death when you are scared?!

"I really was…" Si Xiu opened her mouth to speak but she was interrupted by Tang Li, "Then, what is that in your hand?" She coldly asked.
