From Dusk till Dawn!

Chapter 315: You owe me one

"Oh~Is this the awakening of your man ego? I must admit man, your ego seems to be much larger than your pen*s."

"_"

Li Yu dumbfoundedly glanced towards the source of voice only to find Si Xiu glaring at him. The innocent woman from earlier did not hesitate from killing people and now she also has a sharp tongue. Ego larger than his pen*s? It sounded so insulting that his ears turned red.

He coldly glared at the woman.

Si Xiu did not pay attention to him as she snatched Tang Li's arm from Li Yu's grasp before tightly wrapping her coat around the wound. Luckily, the bullet has just grazed past her skin, or else the situation would have been pretty tricky, but still her coat got soaked in Tang Li's blood in a few seconds.

She narrowed her doe eyes as she looked at Li Yu before sneering, "Never seen ingrates like you. She just saved your life yet instead of thanking her, you are blaming her. Were you that eager to be shot to death?" She raised the gun in her hand before the point it towards his forehead, "How about I shoot you to death?"

She couldn't believe she found this man cool a few minutes ago. Right now, she could not help but look at him in disgust. No matter what hatred or bad-blood people have in between them, how can they be so rude to their savior?

Li Yu pursed his lips as he averted his gaze.

Tang Li chuckled, her face was a bit pale as she held Si Xiu's wrist, "No need to do that," Even though it was clear that she was hiding something but the past days of interactions with her have made Tang Li liked her secretary more and more. Somewhere, she believed that this woman would not harm her and Si Xiu had, again and again, proved her intuition to be right.

"You are too kind," The secretary snorted which was completely opposite of her quiet and reserved behavior.

Tang Li shook her head, "He owes me one," Her voice was barely above a whisper as she felt her eyelids drooping.

'He owes me one.' The sentence kept on repeating itself in Li Yu's mind. And he knew that he owed her. He was not an ungrateful person, he was just unhappy to be saved by the woman who was his enemy.

He never thought one of the mercenaries managed to survive his attack and was waiting for an opportunity to strike back later. If Tang Li had not pushed him away right at that moment, he would not have survived till now.

"I owe you," He uttered those words with utmost seriousness in his eyes.

Tang Li's lips slightly tilted up.

"Let's go to the hospital," Si Xiu panicked as she looked at the woman whose face was turning pale because of the blood loss.

Tang Li shook her head, "Let's go back to the hotel," She murmured.

Li Yu frowned, "Are you insane? Can't you see your own condition? Either you are too eager to die or you are just trying to get everyone's attention."

"What's up with your voice, Mister? Can't you be a little soft with your savior?" Si Xiu raised an eyebrow at Li Yu who averted his gaze feeling a bit embarrassed.

"I'm not being stubborn. It's a bullet wound," Tang Li slightly straightened her back before leaning on the wall, "It means there are chances that the police will be involved if we go to the hospital. Right now, I don't want to reveal my real identity."

Li Yu and Si Xiu exchanged glances understanding her concern. Tang Li was desperate to find Mo Yuhan and revealing her real identity to the authorities might invite more danger.

Li Yu frowned. He has never seen a woman so stubborn but still, he understood her reasoning. In fact, he was not the only person who was assigned to protect her. Mo Yuhan had assigned many core members of Mo Elites for her safety but she left Beijing avoiding their eyes. Since she had her private chopper, it was not difficult for them to leave without them noticing. But she brought him with her and he could only conclude that despite their enmity she trusted him.

Earlier when they went in different directions to search for Mo Yuhan, he felt something amiss halfway. Even though it was a state museum and the place was heavily guarded by the government because of the antiques, their enemies are strong, so it was not impossible for Tang Li to be in danger.

With that thought, he immediately went to search for both the women only to be met with a power outage on the way followed by Si Xiu's loud shriek. He used his phone flashlight to reach their spot but what he saw left him stunned. He watched as the underground path below the tiles slid close because of the mechanism. The smell in the air left him shocked, he controlled his breathing before jumping inside before the tiles could close completely.

As they reached the hotel, Tang Li was feeling a bit better than her previous weakened state after drinking water and taking a short nap in the car. Li Yu, feeling guilty, offered to carry her to the room.

She trusted the man, and his touch did not cause her allergic conditions to act up. They always practiced martial arts together and she also knew that the man was immensely loyal to Mo Yuhan hence her trust in him was not surprising.

But she refused his offer. She was not comfortable with that.

She wrapped herself in Si Xiu's coat properly before getting out of the car. Her secretary held her arm firmly as they walked inside the hotel. Tang Li tried her best to behave normally as they walked past the receptionist's desk before walking inside the elevator as it moved to the top floor.
