"I worked overnight," He lazily answered before opening his eyes to look at her, "What am I seeing? Didn't you say that you don't like it?" He glared at her.

"Get me fifty new clothes with this material. All should be night dresses. Colors should be blue, black, grey, or blue…"

Mark was speechless but an evil glint appeared in his eyes. Black, blue, grey? See if I don't make you wear neon-colored night suits!

"Don't even think about it." Tang Li squinted.

"Are you asking about Mo Yuhan?" Tang Li ate another bite of her chocolate pastry.

Mark's eyes visibly widened, "I am listening. Go on," He immediately put his ear near the phone.

"Your ear side profile is ugly, your ear is even uglier," She said while eating her pastry.

Mark's lips twitched as he looked at her indignance. He was sure he was not ugly by any angle. What is she talking about? And why did she even change the topic?

"My darling is gorgeous from every angle," She nonchalantly said with a hint of pride in her voice.

Here comes the point. You can just say you want to boast about your man. Why did you have to drag me into the mud?

"You… Lovers should give each other some space…"

He started speaking only to be interrupted by her, "But we are husband and wife," She pointed out.

"What I mean is couples should not cling to each other all the time. You should give some space to each other to maintain your relationship in the long run. Or else you might get tired of each other," He inhaled a deep breath after his mini-lecture class.

Tang Li licked her spoon properly before dipping it in another choco truffle cake, "There is space between us."

"Really?" Mark eyed her doubtfully. Given the way you are going around Yuhan this Yuhan that…why can't I say the space between you?"

"Yes, it is non-existent," The corner of her lips tugged up.

"You…."

"Coming back to the point…." She interrupted him yet again, "Ethan did that to send you back. He thought you would be in danger if you stay here."

Looking at the dumbfounded expression on his face, she shook her head speechless, "Gotta go… I'll talk to you later."

She hung up before continuing to eat her pastry.

"What an idiot! I bet Ethan would be on top," She clicked her tongue.

"And since when were you interested in being a matchmaker?"

Tang Li turned around only to find Mo Yuhan standing near the door, leaning against the wall.

''Although he didn't say anything, he was looking like a drug addict. I could not take the pathetic sight of him," She shrugged. She was pretty much used to the stubborn and blabbermouth Mark.

Mo Yuhan walked towards her before carrying her off the bed.

"I had to finish that cake…" She said wrapping her arms around his neck.

He sat on the couch while still holding her in his arms.

She adjusted her position a little so that she was now sitting on his lap.

''Did someone bully you?" He asked wrapping an arm around her waist.

Bully? What am I? Five?!

She raised an eyebrow questioningly, "Why do you think something like that will happen to me?" She pinched his chin before pecking his lips softly.

She bit his bottom lips before looking into his eyes, waiting for his answer.

Mo Yuhan licked the chocolate from the corner of her mouth. "Almost half of the bed is full with chocolate desserts…" He paused before continuing, ''You tell me now, is there nothing wrong?"

"Where is my space? Don't you know couples should give space to each other?" She spoke righteously.

"There is space…between us."

"Eh?" This sounded quite familiar.

He bit the tip of her nose, "Non-existent," He whispered next to her ear.

Her eyes widened as she pushed him away before standing up from his lap, "You were eavesdropping on my conversation," She accused.

He grabbed her wrist and dragged him back to his lap before encircling his arms around her, "Is it my fault that you didn't notice my presence?"

She leaned into his arms and buried her face in his neck.

She realized what he said was true. She was pretty absent-minded ever since she got to know about Si Xiu.

"Yuhan…"

"Mm?"

"Si Xiu…. Is Song Xiu, the daughter of the Song Family. Well, I don't know if that is her real name."

"She can't be your biological sister considering that your Mom was already living with Grandpa Tang after having you," Mo Yuhan paused for a moment before adding doubtfully, "So, was father-in-law having an affair at that time? And is she his illegitimate daughter?"

Mo Yuhan's lips tugged up looking at her smiling face, "Beautiful…" He murmured.

She wrapped her around his neck before placing a kiss on his jaw, "And you are the most gorgeous distraction. Stop seducing me. We were discussing something serious."

He chuckled, "So, coming back to the point, is it true?"

"No, she is his niece," Tang Li paused before looking at him, "If Master Song heard what you said, he will never accept you as his son-in-law."

"We can have a face-off then," Mo Yuhan said confidently, "I am sure that you won't leave me if he asked you to."

''Face-off? I'll see if you can mention this on his face," She chuckled.

Mo Yuhan pursed his lips before clearing his throat, "I don't think father-in-law has siblings."

"But. I heard her calling him uncle."

"He might not be her biological uncle?"

Tang Li shook her head, "The phone was on speaker. I heard their conversation. Given Master Song's personality, he wouldn't interact with just any random person like that. Grandpa Song also doesn't have any siblings so it impossible for Si Xiu to be his distant relative or something like that."

Mo Yuhan's gaze darkened slightly.
