From Dusk till Dawn!

Chapter 394: I took the bullet for you, you checked on her

Walking towards Mo Yuhan to protect him will take time as he was standing at a distance. And it might make the person panic and shoot hastily.

No, she could not take that risk.

The moment Tang Li noticed the gun pointed at Mo Yuhan, she instinctively raised her hand, aiming her pistol towards the man's wrist.

'Bang Bang Bang'

She shot the person's wrist just as his index finger moved, ready to pull the trigger.

The sound of gunshot attracted everyone's attention.

The man rolled on the ground, wincing in pain as three bullets entered straight into his wrist.

Tang Li walked out of her hiding before looking at Ethan, "Catch him," She said, pointing at the man howling in the shadows.

Even though she had injured his wrist, the rest of his body was still fine.

Ethan snapped out of his daze and ran towards the man.

She turned around to look at Mo Yuhan, relief washing over her when their eyes might. At that moment when she saw that the man was about to shoot him and she was standing so far, she could feel a sense of dread in her heart.

Luckily, she had a pistol with him.

Just as she took a step towards him, she noticed something from the corner of her eyes.

'Bang Bang'

The moment she turned her head to look at what it was, there were two gunshots. A man was holding his handgun pointed in the direction where Mo Yuhan was standing at.

Her eyes turned red as she felt too afraid to turn back to look at Mo Yuhan, to check what happened to him.

Her face turned pale as she stood there rooted to her spot looking at the man who shot Mo Yuhan. The man was still trying to shoot but there seemed to be no more bullets in his gun.

"Lili…Lili…"

Mo Yuhan's voice snapped her out of her trance. She turned around to look at the man's concerned voice as he walked towards her.

She ran towards him before inspecting him from head to toe. "You…Where are you injured? Let's… Let's go to the hospital….I'll take you to the hospital…It's fine...Nothing will happen to you. You will be fine.."

"Shhh," He pulled her into his arms, "I am fine. I dodged the bullets. See…"

He distanced her from himself, letting her look at him.

Her trembling body slowly calmed down when she did not see a single stain of blood on his white shirt.

Her racing heart slowly calmed down.

"Mrs. Mo, your husband was not a Commander for nothing…" Ethan's voice made her turn around to look at him. He was holding the man whom she had shot previously.

Before she could say something, she noticed his expression slightly shifting. She walked a little away from Mo Yuhan's embrace and followed Ethan's gaze.

Her eyes narrowed at what she saw.

Holding Mo Yuhan's hand, she dragged him towards the edge of the deck where Ye Lan was lying in Li Yu's arm, holding her bleeding shoulder.

She was speechless for a moment, "Can anyone tell me what happened here?" She glanced at Mo Yuhan who was still as aloof as before looking at Ethan who just shrugged not having any idea about what just happened.

Tang Li focused her gaze on Li Yu who explained everything in short.

Long story made short what happened was when the man shot Mo Yuhan, he easily dodged it given his fast reflexes but nobody expected Ye Lan to jump in front of him during the second shot and stand like a shield. Even though Mo Yuhan pushed her in time but the bullet still grazed her shoulder.

And the man, instead of being touched by her dedication to saving him handed her over to Li Yu before running to Tang Li who was too shocked at that moment.

"Brother Mo…Ev-Even when I was ready to take the bullet for you, you still went to check on her first…" Ye Lan glanced at Mo Yuhan with a pitiful gaze.

Under her accusatory gaze, Mo Yuhan nonchalantly replied, ''You should have been careful. I'm not a doctor. Nothing can be done about it."

Anyone could read the words in between the lines. What the man meant to say that I did not tell you to jump in front of me. And even if you're injured, I am not a doctor who can treat you by staying by your side. As an adult, you can do nothing but take responsibility for your action.

The rest of the people wanted to shout. Heavens saved your patients by not making you a doctor. Because even if you were a doctor, you would avoid your dying patient run to your wife if she was bitten by an ant.

Tang Li's lips twitched. For the first time, even she felt a bit of pity for Ye Lan. But somehow, she also blamed her for this. They have been in the military together for years so the woman should know the level of Mo Yuhan's skills. Moreover, given what she was talking about, it was clear that Ye Lan took this risk to get Mo Yuhan's attention and care. To make him feel that he owed her.

If she was in Ye Lan's place and had selflessly taken the bullet for him, the first thing she would have done was to ask him if he is fine or tell him that she was in pain rather than asking him that even after taking the bullet for him, why did she not get his attention.

Tang Li shook her head before turning her gaze around to look at the man who tried to shoot Mo Yuhan and froze for a moment with the sight that greeted her view.

"Take one step close to me and I'll slit his throat," The guy was holding a person tightly as a hostage with a knife pointed at the throat.

Tang Li recognized him.
